I'm sure I'm correct in this, and have launched a ticket over at Just Flight. After establishing on the ILS localiser, I believe one intercepts the glideslope from below; the indicator progresses down the display so that you pitch down to fly the beam. Looking at an approach chart for EGCC RWY23R, one should be at 3500 feet altitude to intercept the GS at 10 miles out. If you've really screwed up your test flight, got the CG wrong by not removing enough fuel from the correct tanks and going slow enough to let her descend like a brick because the autopilot doesn't have the pitch authority at the high weight and slow speed (D'OH!!), one might see this type of low …

Hello all, I am trying to find the best way to close the REX Sky Force 3D application (after my flights and shut down of FSX) without using the mouse click option. I have sent inquiry emails to the software support staff, but I keep getting a prepackaged response that in no way addresses my issue. Can anyone here assist? Thanks as always.

I am getting ready to start some instrument training in a Comanche250, equipped with a Garmin 430. I have A2A Comanche FSX and would like to purchase/install an add on 430. I have perused the forums but am not clear on some things and was hoping someone could steer me in right direction. I see RXP has a combo 430/530...but if I purchase that can I just install the 430? And I think Flight1 product will not work with FSX...is that correct? If I am wrong and can use either company, what is the consensus on best for FSX? RXP or Flight1? I need a fairly simple installation as I can barely get around my computer!!! Thanks in advance... Charles

Hey, I seem to be having trouble getting the autopilot on the Project Airbus A330-300 FD-FMC to work properly. When I try to use any of the autopilot functions (i.e. altitude hold, airspeed hold, heading/NAV hold, etc.) they won't hold the aircraft at my selected airspeed or heading. When I try to engage the altitude hold switch, the aircraft doesn't hold altitude, not to mention some buttons on the FMC aren't clickable. Here's where I got this download from: https://simviation.com/1/search?submit=1&keywords=A330+FMC&categoryId=&page=3&filename= https://1drv.ms/u/s!AuWqP9oV1UtliKorZsWUuEuZdq4G5g?e=48UTBq

Hello everyone! JELAIR's Vspeed Gauge is amazing! It calls out 80 knots, V1, Rotate and V2. Is there a way, by editing the XML, I could add few more Callouts for "Positive Rate - Gear UP" and if possible, flaps retraction callouts as well? Audio files I can arrange using TTS etc... I just wanted the XML Code for it! Thanks in advance Harsh Sharma

I posted up my latest flight in the 330 freighter over in the Screenshots forum, but I hope it's OK to link to it here to further a discussion with a wider audience.. from a non-pilot and definitely non ATPL (me!) Please note I am not referring to the hate over the business conduct of BBS (that is quite justified!), just the actual criticism of the Wideboy Prologue as it currently stands. It seems to work for me - I'm not going to retire it, never thought of asking for a refund, but I am of course interested in why some won't even touch it with a barge pole. Granted, there are other Airbus sims which are far superior (basing this on what I've seen and read from the…

Very nice. It's taken me three days to be able to fly the Aeroproyecto Ilyushin Il-62M, use the weird autopilot and do a successful ILS approach. Developed from FS9 for FSX by Edgar Guinart López, who hails from Cuba, and includes some excellent documentation in English on the workings of this beast. Gracias. .

I'm not sure if DC designs has a dedicated forum, or I should contact Just Flight for feedback... and post here too.. I believe Dean is active on AVSIM.. I mentioned over in the screenshot forum about needing to baby the autopilot and autothrottle systems, as in not asking either of them to make large changes. One needs to get in the ballpark with airspeed and altitude more so than with other airliners. Now that I have completed a flight from Belfast (?? Trying out my latest UK2000 purchase 😉 ) to NYC, I feel that both of the systems should be somewhat more responsive in their reactions. In my case, the altitude hold lets Concorde balloon up and down, porpoising pas…

I have installed the FSX-native conversion of the Dreamwings Dash-8 (multi-livery pack) from Rikoooo. My problem is that every time I try to manually install an additional livery for it, it stops displaying in my aircraft list (i.e. it AND all other repaints of the same model vanish from the "Select Aircraft" list). When I delete the repaint folder and the Fltsim.x entry, they don't reappear, and I have to reinstall the entire plane to get it back. Does anyone know what could be happening, and why?

Hello everyone! I observed that in FSX, at different times, at a particular airport, different levels of traffic can be seen. I wanted to know, is there a way to find THAT particular time when traffic is gonna be maximum! for example by looking at AI Fllight plan text files decompiled using TTools?(I dont even know how to read those!) Thanks in Advance!

A specific example UK2000 EGCC. I have Herve Sors navaid updates applied. EGCC concurs as does a real approach chart (052 degrees for RWY05L & R). I have a plane sitting on 05L (use active runway from the main FSX menu and I didn't taxi out & line up manually) and it's HSI is showing 052 degrees. Out of curiosity I access the FSX map and the course there is 055 degrees. A payware airport doesn't affect the map it seems. Is there any way to update the stock map despite the sim seeing the correct data? I'd rather not mess with a payware airport in ADE if I don't need to, but would ADE be able to update the map anyway?

I don't know if the community has ever examined this phenomenon fully. Over the years I've seen posts about cruising along at altitude on autopilot and all of a sudden the plane has violent oscillations in roll and then whips over into a death dive, usually being flung to one side, either left or the right until the heading has changed drastically: I don't think all sim aircraft capable of flying several miles up have this happen. I'm just wondering if the answer is "out there". No, not switching to another flight sim entirely! I was just testing out Concorde, trying to get her to Mach 2 whilst heading out of Sydney and pointed at Hawaii... This phenomenon …

Hi everyone. I am new to this type of add-ons, and I may have the terms incorrect. After my commercial airliner flights, I have been switching from the virtual cockpit view to the birds' eye view for the last part of my taxis to gates to ensure I park at the correct spots. I want to be able to park airliners at gates while keeping my eyes on the virtual cockpit the whole time for enhanced immersion. I believe GSX has safedock lights and/or marshallers to tell me how close I am to the correct parking spot. Are there other add-ons, freeware or otherwise, that can do the same thing? I'm fine if only numbers and no human or light system appears. I just want something…

Greetings Folks; I am fairly new to this forum and the flight sim world so looking for some guidance. I am attempting to recreate U.S. Mail routes on FSX Steam for the genesis years if about 1918 through 1927 or so. Specifically, has anyone already invented this wheel? Are there scenarios already built to fly these routes? Secondly, I am looking for a DH-4 to download and so far no luck on multiple sim sites like this. Closest I have come is the DH-82. Any pointers appreciated, Thanks DBW

Hello everyone! Delhi IGI Airport (VIDP) has two runways in parallel [RWY-28 (HDG-284) and RWY-29 (HDG-283)]. Although they are not exactly parallel... But simultaneous ops are carried out. Nowadays, Most Landings are done at Rwy 28 and takeoffs from Rnwy 29. My problem is FSX Does exactly opposite! In fsx, AI Traffic lands on 29 and takes off from 28. Is there a way I can make fsx do the opposite to match the real scenario? Or if not that, Can I completely deactivate Rnw 29 somehow? Thanks in advance! Harsh Sharma

Greetings Folks; New to FSX and using it with Air Hauler 2 (AH2) Bought a Saitek X56 flight stick only to discover Steam does not detect many (any?) flight sticks. The Steam forums indicate that there is a work around but steam support could not point me to it and the discussions are legion. So, Can someone point me to a guide on how to get Steam to detect my flight stick? Hopefully AH2 puts out a MSFS2020 version and I can walk away from steam, but not holding my breath on that. Regards, DBW

I thought there was a captain sim forum here but I cant find it. I am reinstalling Captain Sims 727 in FSX and I have moved the 727 to a new Simobjects folder from\aircraft to \CA Jetliners How can I get the loading application ACE_727.exe to point to the new install directory so I don't get error aircraft cfg not found? (I moved CS727 back into aircraft and it worked but there was not a setting where the user could pint to a new directory and I havent found a cfg file yet) Why? because I use simstart and simobjects folders to load only the sections of fsx I want for faster loading and less memory issues.

I bought this beautiful bird yesterday. I've printed off the manual and am struggling to complete a C&D start up. I can cheat and flick a start switch on the overhead and she fires up just like using Ctrl-E. I have the default flight set as the Cessna C&D (fuel cock still on as that has causes non-starts in some other aircraft if switched off...) However, I am trying to do it "properly" within the constraints of the sim and the "not FS Labs" product. I've tried to follow the procedure in the manual, on page 39 but to no avail. I have the ground cart connected and it motors the engine up to over 20% N1, but I cannot get it to light off. I think I'm either miss…

So I was wondering is there any addons that add a 3d cabin to the default airliners that you can walk around in if not it would be a good idea.
