Hi Folks , i have a problem with the "On-Self Aircraft Shadow" function. the shadow appears on the edge of the wings and sometimes the shadow totally covers the plane (moving/zooming the camera) , this problem only occurs on FSX Native aircraft this problem doesn´t occur when Shader 3.0 Mod by Bojote is installed ,but i changed to FSX Steam Edition and i can't use the shader 3 mod Sorry for my bad english , im not a native english speaker Douglas C-117D Manfred Jahn Sys Spec: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.8 OC Radeon HD6850 1GB GDDR5 (Catalyst Omega 14.12) 8GB RAM Windows 7 Ultimate 64

FYI 1.17 update is available. I am checking to see if the IFR bug was fixed. Will report back soon. Edit: Fix confirmed, <ICAORegion> line no longer appears in the fpl at departure and destination airport. IFR clearances work.

I try to log into multiplayer in the SE and it crashes right after I log in. Anyone know a fix?

Learning NGX fmc and systems/startup these days, various tutorials, pdf's, etc, but I'm still confused about navigation. Is it mandatory to use SIDs and STARs? Or I can enter a simple VOR to VOR flight plan? I'm also asking this because I don't know what ATC addon to use with SID and STAR flightplan. I have PFE and RC4, and I know the complications with SIDs and STARs. If I look some SIDs and STARs plates, how I choose departure SID? I pick one that I like the most how it will connect me to the first waypoint? Can I enter departure runway when taxing (after atc instructions)? That's it for now, I guess. Thanks!

Can anyone help with this? I have been told that to network FSX across 2 PCs I need FSX deluxe. Is this right as I only have FSX. Also struggling to get hold of the deluxe edition. Does FSX steam include deluxe / gold? Any other advice with networking would be appreciated. TIA

Hello. I haven't messed to much with FSX yet but am trying to remember the AFCAD tool equivalent for setting parking assignments and all of the other goodies that's used. Can anyone help me out? Thanks! It looks like Airport Design Editor might be what I'm looking for. (Please correct me if I'm wrong. Or confirm if I'm correct.) However, From ScruffyDuck I see a version 1.3. But elsewhere I see version 1.4. Can you also let me know which is correct?

Hi community, I am looking for some advice regarding the best type of mesh that I can purchase for flying in the UK and Europe, this is where I do most of my flying. Currently I have installed: FS Genisis Europe and Africa ver 1.2 FTX Global Additional add on sceneries I was very particular about the order in which I installed these, but in a lot of Europe, the scenery still appears to be too 'flat', especially England, Wales, and France. Hey everyone i have a question regarding some scenery when i look at the water it seems as though there is a layer over the top of the animates waves that is static these don't move the only scenery i'm running here is FTX global and UTX could these be caused by UTX do i need to move the assignment in the scenery ???? have a look at the pic as you can see the arrows point to the non moving ones and under those are the nice animates waves any insight would be great Thank you JHo

Today I decided to try this "Foreign Object Damage" thing in the Maddog. I was amazed how the engine responded, and it felt very realistic. I was trying to stabilize the engine by reducing throttle. At some point the N1 rotation was 0. Normally you would have already shut down the engine, but I kept it running just to see what happens. (It's a simulator, what's the worst that can happen?) I still had N2 rotation and an EPR of about 1.30, and the engine kept running with the throttle on idle. At some point, the N2 gauge also showed 0. EPR was still up, but unstable and EGT was fairly high. When I increased throttle EPR, Fuel flow and EGT increased, and aft…

Curious to hear about the upgraded Lockheed three-holer from anyone who has purchased one. I am very cautious about Just Flight as some of their early developments, the Vickers and the Comet were terrible in design and function. This looks much better and I believe the team behind the Canberra which is a Froogle favorite had a shot at the tristar. Thanks! Colin

I have been doing lots of playing around with different settings and add-ons and came across something that has me scratching my head. This may be discussed somewhere in this forum and may also be a well know phenomenon, but it just struck me as odd and I wondered if someone would please explain it to me. Flying out of, the boondocks, North Georgia (9A5) north towards KCHA my VAS loads up extremely fast. It will pass 3.0 before takeoff and climbs fast to 3.7 in less than 15 minutes. 12 noon, clear & sunny conditions. FPS average around 30. LOD_Radius at 7.5. I recently grabbed Taxi2Gate's MUCL airport at the end of the sale. At the end of the first flight to the airport I had a 'plane' crash in the parking area, with all flat parking space around me and no ground vehicles. I then tried spawning again and driving there, and same thing. I also tried starting the flight a few times in the different parking spots and I spawned with Immediate crash. I tried re-downloading and re-installing, same results. I bought Orlando and Havana airports from them the week before and have no such issues with them. I opened a ticket on their site a few days ago but no response. Wondering if there's something 'invisible' in the parkin…

Not sure where this has be covered. This occurs only in the air not on the runway. It is like I hit an up or down draft but weather is off! Only occasionally happens but happens regardless of aircraft (some more than others however). Not a big issue but sometimes happens on approach! My system is pretty powerful, with lots of ram, hybrid drive, plus plenty of disk space, plenty of frame rates, etc. So I am thinking this is a graphics (Nvidia) card setting issue or FSX config. tweaking issue? I hadn't done takeoffs with a crosswind before but, as I now try to do them with 90° crosswinds from both left and right and with direction confirmed by the windsock, the aircraft consistently veers into the wind during the takeoff run. It doesn't matter whether it is an FSX or payware aircraft. What am I missing?

I just got the TSS MD80 FSX sounds for the Maddog. For some reason though, the sounds are not working when I install them from the TSS sound folder into the Leo Maddog sound folder. I'm just hearing default Leo Maddog sounds. Any help?

Hi all been flying fseconomy and twins for a while and been away from jets looking to buy the aerosoft airbus bundle http://www.justflight.com/product/aerosoft-airbus-bundle-for-fsx-and-p3d Now the reason i came away from jets is it takes too much time setting up the complex systems this is how the airbus bundle is appealing to me as it seems in depth enough but you can just jump in and get going compared to the pmdg stuff i love but dont have time to use. Hello All, In order to have a flawless flight experience in FSX I have formatted my computer for about 10 days ago. (which I regret today). I have an unknown issue with FS Global 2010 FTX. Until I install FSG 2010 everything is ok. However, once I install it completely mess up the scenery (pls see below). Really appreciate your comments / ideas / proposals. I can move around in the cockpit ok and moving around outside is fine and going inside to out is good but when I go from out to back into the cockpit, I see an outside partially constructed fuselage. The way I fix the problem is right clicking the mouse and checking the VC , which was in VC but somehow it boes to cockpit when I make the switch from in to out. I do the configuration tool when needed. I know this isn't right, any thoughts ?

Just bought and fired up T2G's Hamad Int'l Airport. Looks great and awesome fps but no AI traffic at the new Doha. It's all at old Doha still. I have My Traffic 2013 and I've searched online to find a solution. Found a few things but nobody had My Traffic 2013. I tried to follow the steps anyway and got pretty far but at certain steps, I couldn't keep going. I'd be very grateful for any assistance.
