Hey everyone seems like i have two listings for my GTX 980 card in my CFG is this normal or should i delete one i run in DX10 does it make any diffrences Thanks JHo

I have been having this problem for a while and now I am starting to get fed up with it. The ground textures disappear and turn into blue squares (mostly over water and places near water) and "follows" me around. It starts while I am in the air.

Hello! Anyone in Brisbane and Environs. Has anyone noticed the absolutely fantastic Cloud formations, this week? I have been trying to emulate them with ASN, REX4, REX Soft Clouds. The results have been very impressive but even my 6 core system, takes a big hit. I just hope someone else has noticed the dramatic skies. Jon

I'm guessing that we are going to have to wait until this next version to see whether Opus can match and/or surpass what ASN has done. Because, at least with the latest release version(3.39.0), they have a ways to go to match ASN. Will OpusFSI at least equal ASN? Will we finally get no more cloud popping? Will we see no more rain when flying in clear skies without a cloud around? I'm doing a flight right now(EGLL-EDDM) and have seen both of these situations. The cloud popping, 3 or 4 different times. The rain when no clouds around, once. I'm trying to hold out as I'm sure they will get there. It just doesn't look like it's happening with OpusFSX as the problems …

Hi, I've downloaded FSX:SE today and have spent the day installing most of my FSX addons in to it. I saw the other benchmarking thread and so had certain expectations for FSX:SE. I have also had poor performance issues with another simulator running within STEAM, so was concerned about this too. My results have been very, very surprising to me. Honestly no agenda here guys - I don't care either way as long as I have the best performing sim on my system! ...... I recently purchased track ir 5 and after using it for a bit with pmdg aircraft it occurs to me that I will need to use cameras as well for things like overhead panels. I do not own ezdok but I do own opusfsx (I have never used their cameras before). Are opus cameras just as good as ezdok? Does anyone use opus cameras with track ir 5 in pmdg aircraft or the dash 8? I watched some videos on the ezdok camera and it seems like it would be a great fit, but if I can accomplish the same results with opus then it would save me some money.

I recently came over a strange problem. I've been using unlimited FPS (set inside FSX) for quite long time now, since it gives me the best performance. Yesterday I downloaded FRAPS just to check my FPS i various situations. When I start up a flight and pan around, the FPS jumps up and down as it should be. After a few seconds, it locks itself to 30, even if I load up default cessna at an abandoned desert airstrip. So it seems after a while that an external frame limiter is kicking in. I have reviewed all settings in the Nvidia Inspector panel, but there its set to "application control", meaning FSX should take care of it, right? Moreover, I also use the Nvidia Control…

Hey everyone, I just stepped off of a Delta MD-90 a few hours ago and realized the last time a new FSX MD-80 or 90 was years ago....Has anyone seen anything new or is it still just the Flight one Ultimate 80 and the Maddog MD-80 on the market?

I will be buying FSX:SE in a week or two and will buy my first payware aircraft. The system I'm going to be running it on isn't a tank like most of your PCs. I was wondering which aircraft is easier of the frames..Aerosoft's NEW a320/321, iFly 737 or PMDG 737. Also I've been poking around elsewhere and came across the affinity mask tweak and how it supposedly allows FSX to use more cores? Can someone clarify this for me, I'd be very grateful

Newbie here. Since FSX Steam Edition came out I'm on the fence with the look of scenery I've seen on You Tube. So I'm wondering if I should give FSX Gold a try. The question however is I have a load of FSX pay ware that has been stacking up since I was interested in FS9(Being compatible with FSX). Question again so as not to blab on, is should I delete the default scenery as installed with FSX so that I could for instance install FSX Extreme Heathrow? Thanks Roger

Hi, I haven't flown for about six months because the OC on my 5 year old I7-920 failed back in June. I have a brand new I7-4790k on the way and I'll be back in business soon. I'm looking at my add on inventory and I am debating whether I should reinstall GE or look at another product. I know ORBX has a product. I want to install the best solution, but I already own 4 GE regions. I'll typically fly in the US, Caribbean/Latin America, Europe and Mediterranean. I use a lot of common payware airport scenery and I fly airliners. I do own some ORBX regions, but I doubt I will reinstall them - I HATE switching between textures. I am interested in getting a “fast-single”, and since I have a modest system, I find myself asking for a product with low impact on my system or at least less unnecessary demands on my system. For a TBM-850 which will have the better frame-rate, Carenado or Wilco? Should I also be looking at the Carenado “Piper Malibu PA46T Jetprop HD Series FSX” ( Is the much difference between a TBM vs a JetProp? ) My system is as follows: / i3-4130 CPU @ 3.40GHz (dual-core) / 8-GB RAM @ 1,600 MHz / PNY/NVidia GeForce GTX 750 Ti with 2GB GDDR5 / HDTV @ 1920x1080p / FSX I have already tried the freeware “FSX Socata TBM 700 Package” without much success. I often use low polygon freeware aircraft as AI models, just removing the 'Panel' folder. Can anyone tell me why it is that the ocassional one simply wont show up at all as aircraft, and if it's possible to fix whatever the problem is? Ta!

Has anyone gotten the Virtual CDU to work on an iPhone 6 or 6 plus? I know it says iPad Compatible, but one can only hope.

I did a flight yesterday that had me landing at Flightbeam's KPHX which is an awesome airport by the way. On approach though the airport basically looked totally dark. Sure I could faintly see the terminals but the runway, approach lighting, and taxiway lighting looked almost DARK. Like sure there was a tiny bit of color but the lights weren't bright and it was basically impossible to follow the taxiways. Is there a way to make night lighting brighter at airports? Also did another flight too Flytampa KBOS and again the night lighting looked EXTREMELY dark. Well I am happy to report that the help I was given with my graphic set up is complete My new PC is flyiing My little FSX Barron 58 Like a dream I thought That DX10 may be a problem but all is fine. Back in winXP and FS2004 I used to fly my Fockers from bristol to Gibralter. and I see that there is one made For FSX :- Gibraltar X (FSX+FS2004) Do you know of any reson this will not work on my new PC. Hello everyone. I recently started up my computer to find that my Microsoft Flight Simulator X had many files missing including the fsx.exe. Therefore, I instinctively tried to repair FSX; however, it displayed: Error 1309: Error reading from D:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator X\Licenses\client-issuance-ppd.xrm-ms I tried it again yet it said the same thing. Therefore, I manually deleted the rest of the FSX files until there was no fsx files on my computer, yet I did not uninstall my 3rd party programs such as Active Sky Next or my FSX demo. However I still found that FSX existed in my control panel. Are there any fixes for this? Does anybo…

Hello- After reinstalling FSX, I have noticed that during a flight, FSX would freeze for a few seconds and either skip back to normal, or show the loading screen. (If you play Minecraft , it is like the lag you get when new blocks are loading, or something big spawned) When it does freeze, clicking occasionally causes the sim to give the 'FS Has Stopped Responding' message, and flight loading from the main screen takes longer I have noticed. Hi Guy's I've been watching some DVD's on Aviation recently that started off with the early years of flight. The Wright Brothers first flights & then about other numerous flyers that went on to set records. It got me thinking, what is the oldest aircraft (payware or freeware) that we can fly in FSX? It would be cool to emulate some of these record attempts from those very early years in Aviation using a well modelled version of the plane they flew. Thanks for any pointers : )

I've been playing in a really nice scenery which is fairly heavy on VAS. When I fly away from it, I'd have thought that it would, eventually, free up the VAS for it but it seems to camp out on the memory, holding on to it. Any action I can take to get it to release some of it back?

Hey Guys my hard disk just broke and I was unable to uninstall fsx. can I reinstall it and all other addons with Same product key or will have to buy em again?

when I try to install fsx disk 1 and disk 2 is fine, once it gets to the last bar a new pop up comes up with insert disk, and thats it no disk 1 or disk 2 just disk, please help?
