Hi, I have been using FS since the beginning and have had FSX(boxed) for several years with no issues. Have all the PMDG a/c and all work and look great. But, thought I would give the steam version a go (when it was about $5.00) When I load the steam FSX, the trike on the splash screen is all blurry, like double vision. Looking at the airport scenery the same. The centre line goes off into the distance like a V. Now, when I get inside the basic aircraft 2d screen, all controls are pretty clear and readable, but the scenery outside is blurd. The VC and exterior scenery is all blurred. Hi community, After doing a number of flights, I have found a very weird effect in my sim water. Essentially in some areas, the water appears to be 'split' into different colours, but with very straight lines. I'm running REX4 TD in DX10 mode, but it seems that only the water is affected. Aside from that, I'm also running FTX England, but I would not think that FTX textures could overwrite texture selections in REX4? And why on earth are the lines straight? Finally got my KSNA, thank you LatinVFR. The newer terminal is also there.

It seems these BGLs ruin so many of my airports, and turning them off corrects every airports elevation and bleed through issue. Is there a downside to turning them all off or deleting them? Or is there a way to solve this issue for good?

The first "DLC" addon: Although an old product, it seems "right" to be the first DLC.

AI Traffic Control Utilities. AI Dupe, AI Smooth, AI Cull, AI Traffic Manager, AI Controller, Super Traffic Board and so on. My head is spinning, does anyone know how or when to use these with what? Can they all be used together or only some. What is redundant and what isn't? Is there one that does it all?

If I set ASN to "live", and then start FSX, maybe with a FSX flightplan or maybe with no plan, just flying around, will I have the correct weather/clouds? Or must I enter a flight plan in ASN itself?

I got my new PC yesterday and I am a little underwhelmed so far. Whilst I know it is not a beast, it is still a decent one and I was expecting a little better looking sim to be honest. I have Win 7, FSX is loaded into the default folder but is part of an ADMIN User Account. UAC is off My question is, how do I know REX Soft Clouds has written the textures succesfully as so far, not seeing the sort of clouds I have seen on youtube etc. Is there soemthing in the CFG taht would tell me ? I have set it up as per the manual and i am also using REX Essentials with Overdrive. Thanks Paul

So I've been eyeballing Dreamfactorystudios LIRF scenery that was released last year after failing Aerosofts QC. Dfs released it on their own over at a certain "online sim vendor" and it really got mixed reception with buyers and from the few reviews I've read it seems almost equally split. One totally rejecting it primarily because of performance issues and the other saying it's descent performing but no Flytampa. So I was just wondering if there is anyone out there who have bought it and can give an objective view of it. Cheers!

Hi everyone, Does anyone have an idea as to why the sky in my FSX looks like this? It is a relatively fresh install with not many addon aircraft/scenery installed so I'm not sure what the issue could be. Any help is greatly appreciated

I did post on another newby forum but I think that was wrong. I beleve I bought the wrong Graphic Card for FSX.and would realy apreciate any help to get me back into Flight Simulator. Works fine untill I come into land and the wold outside the cockpit goes into blocks and strips of different colour. Is it Posible for me to sort out the Graphics on FSX with my GPU or should I replace it with a niVda card. Hello All-everything goes great with flight in the Learjet except for a persistent issue. During flight when the autopilot is on, out of curiosity I make the mistake of turning on the radar altimeter and testing it. All of a sudden a tone comes on. I'll turn the altimeter off, but the tone stays on. I start turning all switches on and off, but the tone stays on. It is so irritating that I stop the flight. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? I have some problems with getting the BK117 in the air. As there is no Cold&Dark most switches are already set according to the checklist. But I always have on the annunciator panel a red "ROTOR RPM" warning. N1 always stays at 70%. Also I'm not able to start the engine when coming from a MS Cessna with everything turned off. The manual is not that helpful as you might think. Anyone has an idea or a work around?

Hello all, I just deleted EZCA and then reinstalled it. But during launch of the config tool it tells me to search/config the world camera file. But at the end the wizard is not able to find the world camera file. In the sim I can't use my colie hat and switch the views with the key "S" like I could before. I also can not switch around via the EZCA tool. So at all it's not working. During removal I forgot to use the restore function of the config tool :/ Someone has an idea? Someone maybe has the world cam file? Would like to do my flights Thanks

Maintenance on the NOAA GRIB Server ... The current maintenance on the NOAA GRIB server means the most recent GRIB data cycle is still 0600 Zulu on the 14th January. To all this most recent data cycle to be downloaded we have extended the GRIB download to check back and download the most recent data cycle up to 7 days old. This update has been posted as Betas for both OpusFSX and OpusFSI. Users should download and install the latest OpusFSX Beta Version 3.52.1 or OpusFSI Beta Version 4.43.6. The OpusFSI Beta Version 4.43.6 has been re-posted today to extend the look back period to 7 days. Regards Stephen

Hey- I reinstalled FSX today and after re installing all of my addons, the flight takes a LONG time to load, and once it does load, everything is grey and stays that way for a few minutes until it loads again. If I try to clock, then the sim crashes. Before the re-installation of FSX (I re installed because of this) it loaded fast and perfectly, this is all new, any ideas on what is happening? Thanks.

I've been simming for years, but have been flying FSX with a circa-2008 computer so I've restricted my add-ons to aircraft, plus ASN. That all changed yesterday when I bought a new rig. All of a sudden I went from 7-15 FPS to 70+. So now I'm ready to be greedy and enjoy scenery add-ons. I just don't know where to start and what the difference between them is. Mesh? Textures? Terrain? Someone tell me what I need.

I can't register in their forums because the admin "disabled registration" LOL Anyway - I like the scenery except the horrendous runway edge lights. It's quite odd actually. Near them on takeoff etc they are just silly looking. But on final I can't see them till short short final. Anyone else experience this?

Hello, I am learning about flight plans slowly. I have been flying the PMDG aircraft with flight plans I get from routefinder. Would you guys recommend PFPX for a novice flight simmer like myself? I am just looking for an easier way to create flight plans and get them in to the sim.

Calling all Hughes H1 pilots! Just purchased the Hughes racer. No matter what throttle, mixture, prop settings etc. I use the engine quits and blows black smoke after about 1-2 minutes of flight. Airspeed is only around 150 mph and not pushing the aircraft. Some setting is not right. Help appreciated.

I know this maybe a stupid question, but just wanna check. Do I have to load and run soft clouds everytime before I run fsx? I have Rex anyway and I know that is a one time load until you change something, but just wanted to check? Thanks Paul
