So I think its becoming clear to me the more I try and fix minor annoyances the more I seem to be "breaking" the sim. Last night I did a flight from KSFO-FSDT KDFW at dusk and by the time I landed it was dark so I dunno if that will play a part in this or not. Anyway takeoff-climb-cruise-descent all just fine FPS wise. It wasn't until I got into the approach that the FPS went in the tank. Like it bogged down to 8-10 FPS something I haven't even seen before at that airport. Now I have autogen at normal, water 2.xmid. I was flying the PMDG 737 so I know thats a fairly big drain on FPS. Hello all, I am having big problems in relation to FSX time. When I clock 1 minute on my stopwatch, the FSX program gives me 52 seconds! Thats 8 seconds less than 1 minute as you noticed! This is very annoying because I have to use FSUIPC time sync, and it requires the ''load 100%'' popup to appear every time again. Anyone who had the same problem? Thank you! Best regards

Hi all, I am currently using REX Essential plus Overdrive as a replacement texture tool for my clouds, water and other stuff, together with FS Global Real Weather. Now I wondered, if the newly released REX soft clouds would 1. work without problems together with my REX Essential plus Overdrive and 2. give me any performance increase in heavy weather conditions. I ask this, because I still see a quiet remarkable performace impact when flying through heavy weather, although I already ticked the DX10 box within the REX menue, I already use the smallest possible texture resolution for clouds (512x512) and although I use a properly configured DX10 Fixer (with c…

anyway I can get it to work because, the loading is super fast but after 5 min of flying it goes from 30 fps to like 2 running windows 8.1

I have Eaglesoft Citation X 2.0 in FSX, on a Windows 8.1 computer that is way above the required specs. It seems the aircraft works flawlessly at random times after taking 20 minutes plus to load. otherwise it wont load in FSX. I have read through what people have said, and have excluded it from my virus/firewall program. but there is no change. With eaglesoft not supporting Windows 8, anyone have any ideas?

I have the key F1 programed for . cut thrust . The key R programed for Thrust ( reduce quickly ). This has worked successfully on the PMDG 737 and the Carenado King Air and Pilantis 12. It's not working on the Eaglesoft Citation X for some reason. Does anyone have an idea what the problem can be ?

Trying to load my FSX discs onto a new computer. Install program just hangs. Is the STEAM download version the same as FSX professional plus the service packs?

I have just installed FSX on a partition running Windows 7-64 bit. I transferred all the Traffic_xxx.bgl files from the FSX installation on my Win 7-32 bit disk to FSX\Scenery\World\Scenery on the 64-bit FSX installation, but no AI aircraft show up. Hi all, I have been away from simming for over a year now due to building work being carried on the house and my PC room being demolished. Next month, my new study will be finished and I am treating myself to a new beast of a PC and will get all my kit out of the boxes where it has been gathering dust..... Hello everyone First of all I want to thank you for reading my post. I have flown in fsx for some time now and I have some addons (aerosoft a319 and asn). My frames are mostly around 30 when I start the sim. But when I fly for 10 mins, my frames drop and fluctuate around 5-25. I know my system is not the best. (see settings below) I would be very gratefull if somebody could help me find the right settings/tweaks. I know this sounds lazy but I realy tried everything. I finally finished my customized FSX_SE installation after a FSX box uninstall. Now I have a small problem - nothing serious though: every time I click on the FSX:SE icon to start the program, Steam shows a window with "Performing First Time Setup" and installs (or tries to) the Simconnect libraries. That is a little odd, because every time is...first time! Am I doing something wrong? Has anyone seen this behaviour? Thanks

I'm sure there are a million reasons for this considering the complexity of the program, but about 8 out of 10 times, when I esc back out to the FXS free flight screen, then hit the X to close FSX, it won't do a clean quit of the program. It gives me a crash dialogue and then says FXS is restarting. Below I have listed the basic setup and add ons I am running with FSX.. A week or two ago, I was on an Emirates 777-300ER flight from Dubai(OMDB) to the UK. I was keenly following the track out of Rwy30R as we climbed out which was shown on the in-seat map follower. And I noticed it just flew straight on into the Persian Gulf before flying above Iran. My question is this, when I use AivlaSoft's EFB flight planner which gets it route from Route Finder, it shows several SIDs. I know it did not take DARA3F, and I did not see it take the small dog-leg that is MUVL2F. So, I'm intrigued as to which one it'd have taken. Anyone with any ideas? Thanks.

Don't buy it, still a mess. SP1 is a joke. Simply it does not work.

I use Navigraph nDac for airport charts, which I really like, but it's annoying to have to keep switching between FSX and the application to look at charts, unless I print them. Is there an easy way to get them on an iPad? The only way I've thought of so far is to "Print" to PDF and then move the PDF's onto the iPad, which should work fine but will be time consuming. Thanks

This has been my experience of PDMG 777-200R on FSX:SE I have the usual Orbx global, OpenLC scenery. Just outside of EGKK. Outside view spot : 48fps Virtual Cockpit view : ~21fps It sure looks pretty but it's sure is draining my fps away.

Please tell me how I can couple the GPS to the auto pilot in FSX? And how do I enter a flight plan into the GPS from FSX? Thanks

Been using EZDOC for a while with PMDG 737NG without problems. Just recently installed Aerosoft AirbusX EX. When setting up inside cockpit it works OK but when I switch to outside views (Aircraft) all I see is just the cockpit part of the airplane. If I keep switching back and forth from inside to outside views sometimes the whole aircraft appears. Even with camera views imported from the Aerosoft website the same thing happens. Its probably something simple that I am missing, but what? Any help would be much appreciated. Bob

After getting many OOM problems with long 777 flights I have done some vas testing with fsx and the pmdg 777 over the past week. Before I could not complete any long hauls but now I am able to do 14 hr + flights with no issue. Ive been monitoring fsx vas usage with fsuipc and noticed that on some flights the vas usage slowly climbs higher until the sim crashes, all while at cruise altitude. This is with or without addon airports enabled. This is a memory leak situation. Other flights would complete with no issue. After some testing It was found that If the flight was started and scenery was then activated in the library, the sim would consume vas throught the cruise…

Hi All, Well after many years with FS9 I finally decided to take the plunge and update my system to accommodate FSX, now she's purring like a warm Ferrari and ready to go..But..I had awful problems finding a copy of FSX gold, eventually I ordered one from a friend Australia, 5 weeks later it arrived, yesterday in fact, BUT after an evening of frustrations I find that disc #1 is corrupt and can't be used!!. there's NO way I'm prepared to return it..at that rate it will be summer before I start an engine!!.
