Can you please explain why I get such a massive hit on FPS when flying at night? Then maybe I could look at finding a way to sorting it out. I just assumed that textures are textures whether they show a bright part or dark part? So why do I get anything upto a 70% hit on FPS? It is worse over default scenery compared to my ORBX England. Hello, ive recently downloaded flight1's text o matic program but when ever I try to use it the template button doesn't work...? I'm on Windows 7 64 bit FSX. Any help or advice would be much appreciated, thanks :smile:

I have been trying to get fsx se to work for about 2 weeks. Everytime I open fsx I get the title screen the a box appears that reads, "Flight simulator cannot run without a valid scenery.cfg. Please uninstall and reinstall flight simulator. Click abort to exit flight simulator". I have installed and reinstalled 6 times and nothing ever changes. I have contacted dovetail support and after about a week they replied with the following steps to fix the problem,"In order to resolve this issue you will need to: a) Disable UAC and run the FSXSEConfig.exe tool as follows: FSXSEConfig.exe /FORCEFIRSTTIME (b) Manually create the folders: C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\FSX (or FSX-SE …

Can you please give me an idea on why the lighting on the ground looks so pixelated? I have the settings at 2048 for Textures, using REX and most of my Graphics are set at least high. I have turned ASN off incase it was a fog effect but no change and is the same at all airports. I also see poor clouds at night with a similar effect Thanks for any help Paul

Hi all, I liked the Airline2sim paint and found out that you can download it from there Facebook site, although I found the download part down on Facebook down, with some searching I found the file to download. I have done a couple of self installations of paints on the aerosoft F16, the Belgium and Netherlands, in the past but I don't seem to be able to figure out how to get this paint to work. Any help would be much appreciated.

I am building a new high end computer primarily for Flight Simulator. Initially, I prefer to install just one version. So the sixty-four-thousand dollar question is: does it make more sense to buy and install FSX:SE or reinstall by FS:Boxed version that is on my current computer? I am assuming that ASN will successfully get converted over, as this is a must have for me. If this is of any help, I primarily fly GA and have most of the normal FSX add-ons including lots of Orbx stuff. Any thoughts are welcomed. Thanks, PDX.

I would like to turn off Programs or anything else that is not needed prior to fireing up FSX so it will run better, but some of it looks Greek to me. Can someone tell me what I can safely turn off ? Try to make it as simple as possable. Thanks

From my reading at various forums the recently released C172 isn't the only plane with this issue. Other planes like the Lotus L39, F1 king air, a2a mustang, and the PMDG 777 are exhibiting this behavior. I've never had this happen to me but I watched it happen on my friends PC while he flew the king air. I wonder if we could create a list of similarities between systems that have these issues... For instance I run win7 on basic mode, and Aero is disabled. I also have single monitor.. I sometimes wonder if me running basic mode (read running basic as in no aero themes I own Professional) is the reason why I don't have the clickspots issue. Also I hav…

Hi, Its very difficult for me to do nice landings in FSX because anywhere from 100 ft to touch down I get these stutters which makes me over compensate on the controls which lead to lousy landings. I dont get stutters usually anywhere else and definitely not as bad as when landing. It happens on every landing I use PMDG 77W Active Sky Next No AI Traffic Mostly Add-on Scenery (FSDT, Flightbeam, Flytampa) My Sliders are on the lower end ExternalFrame limiter (cant think of the name of it now) I7 860 GTX 750 Win 7 Saitek pedals, yoke and throttles Dont use any other external programs to enhance visuals Any advice would be great

I'm assuming that just copying the aircraft folder from the old computer, putting that folder onto a temporary flash drive and then placing that folder back into the appropriate place within the new clean install on the new computer is all that's needed, correct? Or are there going to be hidden files like purchase or license keys that will prohibit the aircraft from working?

Bonjour, I love DHM/Bump effects but with heavy crosswind and gusts, I often finish in the grass..... :( So I wonder if it would not possible for LWE to calm the effects of the wind during the last phase of approach (below xxx feets AGL). It could be progressive. (for all the cameras) I know there is a toggle shortcut to disable/enable DHM but in my case it doesn't work, and it's too radical. What do you think ? For the moment I have duplicated my view with less DHM/BUMP and switch during final approach..... Best regards Claude.

I am torn on getting a few different aircraft. I own the A2A C182 and I am still learning the aircraft and I own the RA Turbine Duke, but I keep seeing the A2A cherokee and the Turbine Duke V2 and I can't decide if I should purchase or not. I know it's personal preference, but I would like input if possible. Thank you

For a while I've just been aimlessly flying around the U.S. in the pmdg 737 and now the Realair Duke, to airfields that I have enhanced scenery for which is constantly growing. It has gotten to the point where it takes 15 minutes to decide where I want to fly because there's so much to choose from and so many places I haven't flown. I've looked into FSCaptain but that doesn't seem to be for me. Hi, I am part of a group and i have been asked to create a mod that would allow FSX radios to communicate with TS3. For example , when you join the frequency 125.550 MHz for ground, it would move you to the group channel on TS3. Does anyone have any help on how we could do this? Thanks very much.
