Hey Pilots! A week ago I purchased a license for FSCaptain (maybe too spontanously). I installed (as admin) it and figured out how to set up aircrafts and a own airline and so on. I was able to do some flights with my Aerosoft Twin Otter and two of my Alabeo aircrafts. All worked good. But than I wanted to trie it with the bigger planes, the newest Aerosoft A320 and the PMDG 737-800. But the FSCaptain FCDU dont want to show me my pre-booked flights. I always get only the preflight page where I could set up a flight in sim. But I want it with pre-booking. Hello, my vPilot doesn't connect properly to the controllers voice server. This is really weird, sometimes it works, sometimes is doesn't. When I ask the controller, he tells me, I am not in his voice server list. Then I figured out, when I go to vPilot setting and change my Input/Output device from Wave to DirectSound, I can connect to the server. But even I was approaching ans airfield with TWR online, haven't been able to speak to him due to no connection to server. Is there a replacement night sky background available somewhere? The galaxy arm painting looks really bad sometimes. I have Active Sky 2012 and it replaces some textures but not this.

Suddenly having massive problem with aircraft (many) and airports (any) failing to find glidescope on ILS approach. I have followed all the usual rules, interception from below, ils Appr on, confirmed nav on. The ILS picks up the center line approach perfectly and completely ignores the glideslope diamond as it slides by. Have REX and just installed ORBX FT Global. Any suggestions appreciated.

Hello, Every time I open up fsx its always an hour ahead of what the time should really be(ex. Chicago Midway(MDW) FSX time 10:02 A.M real time 9:02 A.M)ive tried fs real time and all it does is slow FSX down and makes it stop responding. so is there like a .DLL fix out there. With how scenery and FSX fixes are popping out like opening presents on Christmas eve there has to be something out there.

What's up with these guys? I bought the DC-9 Cargo Expansion pack from their website 4 days ago. Big mistake. Their download link is broken, their forum inactive and I received only one email from tech support the day after asking me the details of my purchase (which they should know as I quoted my purchase ID number). Further enquiries have brought a deafening silence. Meanwhile I'm out $35 Cdn. Definitely One unhappy customer.

Just looking for opinions/observations. I've watched videos of both planes, and they both seem to be very high quality, but really, I don't have a clue as to which would be better for a beginner in turboprops. I fly "low and slow", and guess that these airplanes would be "medium and medium"?

Are Horizon VFR photo scenery and UK airfields compatible with Steam Edition?

Hello everybody, I am having a problem which is very disturbing, I set in the FSX configuration, my global texture resolution to MEDIUM, but when I am in flight and I go to settings I see that my global texture resolution is at VERY HIGH, any help? HELP PLEASE!!!

I have my AMD Phenom X6 1100T clocked at 3.88 GHZ. I can't figure out why I am only getting 3-5 FPS at FlightBeam KSFO with ORBX NA and PNW scenery.I am also flying the PMDG 737NGX. I know that PMDG has some FPS drops but I wouldn't think it would be this low. I also have ASN. Here are my settings. I even downgraded from what ORBX said to use for settings. Hello everyone. I'd like to have real time in FSX with correct Time Zones and with no bugs in VATSIM and PMDG aircrafts. Are there any utilities for real time in FSX?

I currently have FSX on my old computer. During the last 3 years, I have tweaked the fsx.cfg file such that it runs really good on my system. On my new computer which I plan on installing FSX steam (no boxed version). Other than load radius, are there any other parameters I should also change, or has steam already done so in an optimized fashion? Also, other changes I have made in the panel and other cfg files, does this same option exist in steam? Thank You in advance. PDX

Does anyone know if a fix or an add-on BGL file is available to get AI to follow the River Visual into KDCA for the Tropical Sim DCA scenery? If not any way to adjust the AFCAD for this? Thanks in advance. JT

Hello! I tried to research this problem and I was wondering if, in 2015, with all the new enhancements to the FSX program, has anyone come across and fixed this problem? So far I noticed it in some aircrafts. Some have suggested turning off Tool Tips or changing .cfg panel configuration. Any newer suggestions out there?

So I was on an ok short final for 19L at KSFO, then all of a sudden and unseen hand pushes me into the dirt just before the runway. I'm guessing it's an issue with the bgls, AFCAD or elevation because it was just as i crossed over onto the reclaimed land. I have FTX NCA installed but I never went to vanilla KSFO on this install, and I also have ASN installed so I also thought it could be some sort of wind shear bug, doesn't seem likely though, especially given how mild the weather was. In the sim, flying the in house 737,I always set the auto brake to max when landing on short runways,& use RTO setting on takeoff, does it actually increase braking in the sim? FSX BobG

Hi is it true that fsx steam takes advantage of more gpu power than the classic fsx which is notoriously cpu intensive thx lee

I tried with the default keys to open the doors, but do not work. Use Windows 8.1 and Prepar3d 2.4, last version q400. The q400 open only 1 doors, with Shift + E. why? how can I open other doors ?

I sincerely hope somebody would be able to help me. I have a problem with the landing lights on my AI aircraft. Instead of seeing a ball of light in its correct place on the model, there are two balls of light - one above the wing and one below it. The one below the wing also has a weaker intensity. I never used to have this problem, but one it suddenly appeared and now I can't fix it. I suspect some add-on caused this. I went into the aircraft.cfg files of my AI aircraft, to see what effects files they use for lights, and then went and replaced all of those files with a program called "GaugeRecovery" but it didn't solve the problem. Hiya I Installed the demo yesterday on FSX and went through the tutorial and all went as planned, or atleast as planned as it can be with a plane i have never flown before. However, I thought I would try with my favorite the Aerosoft Airbus A320. I seem to have trouble with loading PAX but most annoying is the absolute lack of sound from crew and Heidi. I have tried announcements and there is nothing I can hear the clicking when I press buttons on the FCDU. It loads fuel, so all seems pretty good apart from sound. I thought I read somewhere that Microsoft was no longer supporting the original, non-Steam version of FSX, and I took that to mean that it is no longer possible to activate non-Steam FSX installed from discs. However, I was able to activate my own non-Steam FSX after a reinstallation last week. (It had previously been installed on the same computer, so not sure what to make of that.) So, is Microsoft still activating non-Steam FSX versions or not? And if they are, have they announced a date after which they no longer will continue to do so?

Has anyone noticed that any executable defined in the exe.xml file (Like Courtl.exe or ezca.exe) will not load automatically, even if the ManualLoad line is set to False? The dll's in the dll.xml files work fine When FSX-SE is run it does ask to run it and works fine if answered yes. Does anyone know if there is a fix for this? Thank You
