I've been searching for a payware FSX compatible Hawker 800 XP and came across this: http://www.justflight.com/product/800xp-bizjet I was wondering if anyone has flown this and if so, I would welcome comments/review of the aircraft. Thanks.

Hello, I want to flight-sim fly a plane that might be considered a modern motor-glider; light weight, long wings, small-ish motor preferably Rotax, and I am still looking for steam gauges featuring the standard / classic six-pack of instruments. I have not found a freeware add-on that I am happy with, so now I am looking for a payware add-on. Of the following which is the best choice? H36 Dimona from Aerosoft for $26.95 DA-20 Katana X from Aerosoft for $24.99 Diamond DA20-100 Katana 4X from Aerosoft for $29.95 Diamond Katana DA20-C1 from WS Simulation for $15.00 IRIS - Aviator Series Venture MG.1 [FSX] from Iris for $31.95 "inspired by the Grob 109B" …

According to http://www.airdailyx.net/fsnewsbreaker/2015/2/25/who-wants-a-bac Aeroplane Heaven is working on a BAC 1-11. That is good news, isn´t it! Their recent developments has been marketed under Just Flight (http://www.aeroplaneheaven.com/). That might be the case with 1-11. No idea how long it will take before it is ready for the markets.

Here is a home study simulator course for those who still hunger for the romance and adventure of airline flying. That “Romance and Adventure” will all come back to you if you follow the steps of this “practice trip” at home: 1. Stay out of bed all night. 2. Sit in your most uncomfortable chair, in a closet, for nine or ten hours facing a four foot wide panoramic photo of a flight deck. 3. Have two or three noisy vacuum cleaners on high, out of sight but within hearing distance and operating throughout the night. If a vacuum cleaner fails, do the appropriate restart checklist. 4. Halfway through your nocturnal simulator course, arrange for a bright spo…

Hi All, I am looking at what's out there for the regional aircraft and I was wanting to know what the current opinion is on a couple that I have seen. I know the Majestic Q400 is the Favorite in this category but what are the others like. On the following criteria. I was hoping to find out: How well its modelled, how nice the VC is, the sounds and the ease of use for the following BAE 146/AVRO Series - Looks like a good product but not many around in real life ATR-72 - Very popular here in Europe, not sure what the FSX version is like BAE J4100 - Never heard of it before Is there anything more modern out there? I think I could stretch to the smal…

Hi All, I finally sorted my Carenedo Phenom 100 after having to re-install everything and now my plan for March is to add 2 more planes to my hanger and make the world look prettier. The 3 things I am after are: A) Small Plane- Looking for something with the Luxury feel of my Phenom but with Propellers. I am currently thinking possible the Duke V2 Turbo Prop or something from Carenedo. B) A Small Commercial Plane - No a fan of the big jumbo's as I am more of a city hopper then a Trans-Atlantic type flyer. I have been looking at the Majestic Dash8 and the PMDG BAE planes. C) Make it look pretty - Currently running Vanilla Graphics on a powerful PC, no…

Hi, after getting my new computer I among installed my FSX DeLuxe and both SPs. Now after a couple of days downloading and installing my aad-ons ( FSGlobal, fsg, asn, vector, EuLC, PMDG's etc) and making tweaks ( the normal ones) I've been quite satisfied with both the performance and improved eye-candy. However from the very start when launching fsx there are announcements of missing path to fsx´s SCEN/Cities/ Reno, Istanbul, Berlin, Longleat, Edwards aFB. Every time. I considered it only as nuisance. Today I wanted to check if these areas are really missing and tested Istanbul, Berlin and Reno and all were living cities with nice landmarks. I tried to unche…

A while ago, I watched an FSX video showcasing a fictional 'Palestinian Airlines' or 'Air Palestine', something like that, operating large airliners into "Tel Abib" airport. The scenery that the producer of the video used was similar to the actual Tel Aviv airport, but with slight changes and fictional "Tel Abib" signage. Unfortunately, I can no longer find the video, and a search for "Tel Abib" in the library (or on Google for that matter) yields no results. Has anyone heard of this scenery, and if so can you point me to somewhere I can download it? Also, it's unfortunate that I feel the need to say this, but THIS THREAD IS IN NO WAY, SHAPE, OR FORM ABOUT THE ISRAEL-…

I'm starting a new personal era for myself in FSX. I'm going to start moving away from flying 'Casual', "CTRL+E, Autopilot, CTRL+SHIFT+F1" flights and more into planning and executing flights as realistically as possible. This may help me come to grips with IFR training in the future, but mostly it will be much more fun and satisfying. So far, I own the PMDG Jetstream, the Majestic Q400, and just recently purchased the NGX (which left me absolutely speechless- it's just like flying an actual machine!). Of course, in order to fly realistic flights, I need to start with good way to plan them. TOPCAT and PFPX seem to be the obvious choices. However, having just purchased th…

i just downloaded the nvidia inspector after I installed my Gtx 970. So I started to type in Microsoft flight simulator x. And the only profile that popped up was Microsoft flight simulator 2002. I am not sure what to do? Also I am getting the exact same fps with my 970 as I did with my 460. I don't know why that is. I got 12 gb of ram and my i7 is OCed to 4.0. Should I have fsx make a new cfg file and tweak it myself? I tried the buffer pools and affinity mask. And high memory fix

With all the add-ons and technology and displays these days, FSX is very immersive but there is one thing that still bothers me and I was curious if anyone else agreed or had a solution. The depth perception to me is what makes FSX the most unrealistic most specifically the height off the ground when on an approach. For those of you that have been in the cockpit during a landing on a real plane, you would likely agree with me that everything seems so much higher from the runway when on approach than in FSX. I feel this has a lot to do with the zoom. For instance if I zoom in to 80-90% on approach instead lf the normal 50% it feels "bigger" and higher from the surface as I…

I bought my FSX Gold Edition DVDs from newegg in 2011 for $28.26. I ran it on a modest machine (AMD 965 black edition). I then upgraded to a more robust machine (mainly because I kept buying high end add ons), and had no trouble reactivating FSX on my intel 3770K Ivy bridge. I recently decided to upgrade again and have collected all the parts and pieces to build a 4920K on an ASUS z97 deluxe motherboard. For some reason, it occurred to me to check on any reactivation issues, and sure enough, MS will only issue 2 activation approvals on 2 different machines. If you try to activate it a 3rd time on a third motherboard, it will not be successful. Being staunchly ant…

Since upgrading to FSI, I notice that every time that I go to external view (F11), the view is always at the tail of the plane, regardless of where I had the view set previously. Previously, I could set a view, return to the cockpit (F9) and the go back (F11) and my last view would be preserved. I do not have Live Camera enabled, since I do not use that feature. Can you help? Thanks ******************************** Forgot to mention, using v4.48.2

Have spent a long several days reinstalling FSX onto new SSD's but not satisfied so I'm starting over..again...I'm a longtime simmer and FS user, but I want to confirm the order of reinstall and see if anyone has any suggestions. I go in the following order 1. FSX 2. SDK (run FSX and exit) 3. FSX Acceleration 4. SDK SP1 5. SDK SP2 (run FSX and exit) (do the usual tweaks and fixes in FSX.cfg) (run FSX and exit) 6. FSUIPC 7. Run FSX and Exit (test wideserver/wide client) 8. Vpilot/Simconnect and test 9. ASN on remote client and test simconnect 10. FTX Global Base (run FSX and exit) 11. FTX Vector (run FSX and Exit) 12. Install Regional sceneries 13. …

Hello- So recently, my sim has started to act up. When the sim would start, it would use 3.9BG out of 4.0GB available. Thus making times for the sim/flights to load spike up to 20 minutes to load the Carenado C340 at FTX's Redding. It used to be fast and take only a few minutes, but now it takes WAY longer. And if it does load, it is laggy and the sim freezes every few seconds, on some occasions, when a flight would load, everything would be grey and the textures would have to load again. It does NOT crash. I have applied the High-Memory fix as in the AVSIM CTD guide, and that has done nothing. I have also taken a look at other things like processor health, GPU healt…

I removed the antilag files from my fsx folder which includes the config file and the d3d9.dll. It wasn't giving me any noticable stability or performance increase so I just deleted them both. However, I just read somewhere that the d3d9.dll was actually created by directX, and the one with antilag was a replacement. Is this true?

I bought the FSGenesis 10m United States terrain mesh and had problems installing it in FSX:SE. I figured out the problem, the FSGenesis installer tried to install to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX However, you need to add a backslash to the end of the path so it looks like this: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\ If you don't do that, it will create a directory in the "common" folder called FSXscenery and install the mesh in there and FSX won't be able to find it. I am using Windows 8.1, I'm not sure if this happens in other versions of Windows. There is a second install error as well, I'm guessing this issue is not FSX:SE excl…

Recently, I had to do a complete uninstall of FSX on my computer. When I tried to reinstall everything was going fine until right at the very end. I got an error message at the very end of the install that said there was a problem with GameuxInstallhelper.dll. I have searched all over trying to find a work-around for this issue. Has anyone else had this problem and if so how can I fix it. I'm concerned that with all the $$$ I've spent on payware add-ons I'm going to be out a BUNCH of money. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Using AS Next and REX4...yet I still get flickering clouds down in the valleys between mountains and in other places. Is there a weather program that has solved this unrealistic cloud activity? I thought I read about it once on this forum, but I can't place that conversation. Stan

Dear FSX and/or FS2004-users, I am happy to announce that v170 of FaceTrackNoIR was released yesterday. The new version contains a number of important improvements, which also benefit many FSX-users (as well as FS2002/2004 and MS Flight). The most important new features: A new filter called Accela, providing great stability and yet maintain response; A new curve-configurator, so response can be tweaked better than before; An IR-tracker called PointTracker. This was translated from the FreeTrack sources and is very useful for users, who already have an IR-headset; A new game-protocol called "FreeTrack 2.0", which supports all FreeTrack and TrackIR enabled games…

I literally have my finger on the trigger over at PCAviator to purchase FSCaptain. Now i like the idea of everything it does (umm something like FSPassengers plus more stuff?) yet i'm wondering if i should. Here's my reason. If i fly mostly fighters/helicopters and sometimes a Cessna type is it really worth it to me? I mean i could buy it and it would sit on my harddrive (ie Cargo pilot/Airshow pilot/EZDok/AirTrafficFX etc etc) and i may actually get around to an Airline flight occasionally. ...or perhaps even i may switch to tube liners permanently? What say you? PS....I have Virtavia's MI-24 sitting next to it which i'm eager to get into. I'm not a button pusher for …
