Hello, I have been tweaking FSX for quite a while now (or at least trying hah) and I've gotten some pretty good results (with various addons such as Orbx FTX Global, Vector, OpenLC, addon airports and also with the PMDG 777, Active Sky, ect) and it performes very satisfactory, but I have stumbled uppon an issue recently. I have a Intel Core I7 3930k @ 4.5 (used to be at 4.6, but went back to 4.5 so it stays cooler), stable. But I've been doing some testing and it seems that FSX never reaches my OC speed of 4.5 Ghz, but will instead only go up to 4.2Ghz. I measured this with CPU-Z. And yes, my cpu will run at 4.5, when playing other games, or running CPU intensive soft…

I'm using the Concorde X but can be any INS plane. Once it is engaged, what are the easiest immediate ways to tell if the INS system is setup properly and following the proper course? I'm looking for quick ways to determine this. Thanks.

Based on a 727-200ADV with 209500 lbs MTOW and JT8D-17s. All new drag tables, all new engine tables. Plus more precise gauges, a better EPR system, custom EGT equations and maybe more. Can now be flown with the tables from the real deal. Fuel flow at idle is a bit too low, but that's a MSFS limitation. Requires Acceleration, but SP2 users can use it as well at the cost of less precise drag. Hi simmers, I have a question on FSX:SE (I only have FSX:SE installed). I installed some third party executable addons (for example ezca, couatl and ActiveskyNext), and FSX:SE keeps asking for permission to run them EVERY time it starts. Unlike in FSX:MS when I grant permission the first time, it remembers. Hi, I have opus installed on my old PC, have just got a new PC, on which I am using Prepar3d and slowly migrating stuff over. Will probably use the old PC as a networked PC for FSX at some stage. So, I have 2 issues, first, not sure where I purchased opus from to get licence details, second, is the Opus FSI a free upgrade and third, Can I install it into my new P3D install ? I want to get a mesh product for FSX:SE and I'm debating between FSGenesis's 19m North America product and their 10m United States product. Am I going to see much of a difference between 19m and 10m? Is there a notable performance hit between 19m and 10m? Finally, would the "airport on a hill syndrome" (not sure if it has an official name--I'm talking about when the airport elevation doesn't match with the surrounding mesh so it looks like it's at the top of a cliff) that seems to be a side effect of third-party mesh be less pronouced with 10m mesh vs. 19m? I am starting from a new system install. Downloaded F1 purchase wrappers opusfsx and opusfsi upgrade. Opusfsx installs and validates perfectly, however opusfsi does not. From the wrapper I select re-install as usual, browse for key, KEY ACCEPTED. Then I run the opisFSI.msi to install to default location. When I open the installed upgrade and FSISERVER it never validates licence. Hello everyone! I've been using Flight simulators (FS2004, FSX) for more than 10 years, but it always has something new for me. For example, my current installation randomly freezes, for 3-5 minutes, than resumes. It does this usually once or maximum twice in 4-6 hours continuous utilization. That's nearly all I know exactly about the issuse. Some more information: I looked the event viewer when this freezing occured, and at that time the Windows Error Reporting Service entered into the running state, then in two minutes Windows Error Reporting Service entered into the stopped state. I have have issues with the J-11B manual. It's lacking in user friendliness, so it hasn't been a good teaching tool for me. I have managed to get my FSX flight plan working and followed, but for the life of me, haven't figured out how to setup/initiatie Altitude Hold. I'm ridding the heck out of my Trim controller. Can anyone give me a walk through for this? Will be greatly appreciated. Eagle

The problem with REX is its an Manual install and you have to know where to install the file.I have both and flight environment wins for me as its so easy to install not like REX to complex for people who dont know much aboutmanual installing. I spent 6 hours last night trying to get REX working and at 2am i give up! I done what the REX told me to do and still no textures and runway markings just the default weather. I think i will get my money back on REX. My comment to REX make REX easier to install!

Hello all! So recently, I've become a new EZDOK user. Don't get me wrong, it's a great piece of software. So today, I was ready to do a flight with it, but when I plugged my joystick (Logitech Extreme 3D Pro), the joystick was unresponsive and nothing worked... all i really need is the crucial controls- rudder, ailerons, elevators... Please, any help is appreciated.

Very strange one here in that although the area 0303 is active in the scenery config. no airports in that area will load, fsx just freezes. I have reinstalled that area from a back up copy \i always keep for emergencies but still no joy. I cann't figure out what could be causing it. Flying over that area there are no textures but there is a land mass. Anyone have any ideas. I would be grateful . Many Thanks Mjleprix

Hello, I recently purchased the 146-200/300 Jetliner add on from Just Flight. Follwoing the tutorial in the manual I tried to start the engines but without the desired result (running engines). They seem to fire up and oil pressure is OK but then after a few seconds they stop again. Tried it several times but somehow I do not get it to work. Can someone give me a hand on how to get the engines running. Thanks. Paul.

So you know how there is no cloud effect in FSX, when you fly through the clouds since they are not 3D they don't give any realistic experience. So I was thinking the exact thing the other day and I realized that the default jet contrails effect in fsx would be a great cloud effect if "somehow" by being positioned at the front left and right of the aircraft and if somehow it was possible to turn it on(I am willing to turn it on [like smoke system] as you fly through the cloud. The most challenging thing would be synchronizing the "flying into the clouds" and the actual screening of the effect i am guessing, so could it be automated, is it possible for FSX to bring th…

I have ASN and everything and im really impressed with it I think its the most realistic i have ever had the sim, Then i came across this thread from avsim... Hi, Firstly my setup is: I5 3570K @ 3.40ghz GTX 670 2GB 8GB RAM. My question is: Should I use: [bUFFERPOOLS] PoolSize=8388608 RejectThreshold=126976 UsePools=1 or [bUFFERPOOLS] UsePools=0 According my setup? Also should I use: FIBER_FRAME_TIME_FRACTION=0.12? I hear FIBER_FRAME_TIME_FRACTION causes stutters so I decided to remove it. Also tried adaptative Vsync but it gave me some stutters and low fps so I decided to revert back to Standard and set up 1/2 Refresh rate. Thank you.

Hey guys, does anyone know how to popup 2d fmc windows in maddog? Shift+7 doesn't seem to work in FSX, but only in FS2004 version. I partially solved the problem using Ezca focused on cdu but it's very annoing can't display the 2d fmc window. I can't post in maddog official forum because I need my account is activated and still waiting from different months, seems the forum admin didn't follow anymore this forum and support is discontinued. Any help is very appreciated?

Hey guys I use Rex4 Texture Direct w/ Soft Clouds and I've noticed that when I fly my Airbus Extended A320 aircraft, I go from having 20-30 fps on the ground, to about 40-50 fps at 10-15,000 feet, but then when I get up over FL300 my framerates take a nosedive to like 7-10 fps. I currently have the cloud textures set at the second highest level of which escapes me right now at work. I think it's the 2048 HD cloud textures? But I'm still getting bad frames. I'm just curious if some of you have had to turn down those cloud settings to get better frames and if so, what settings work for you? Thanks.
