Does some of you have hear or know how to use an old radio stack (taken from an AST-300 hawk simulator) with FSX?. I purchase a full radio stack from eBay…The seller indicates that those modules (NAV/COM radios-ADF-DME-Transponder) are not FSX or X-Plane plug & play…That is completely understanding for me and I know that many modules require manual configuration with FSUIPC and others…But the problem is…That AST has their own proprietary Flight Simulator Software and never was used with FS9 or FSX or X-Planes. I knew that after a hard research…And I think that I was tricked by this seller… I spend a lot of money and I will try to save this investment…Please if some …

Anyone know of any apps (freeware or payware) or web source that I can QUICKLY use to find the appropriate SID during departure, or STAR during arrival, depending on which runway I was directed to use by control? Sometimes, I find myself ready to taxi only to be told by ground control to takeoff on a different runway than the one I've already programmed in the FMC, or I'm coming in on an approach via a STAR already programmed into my flight plan, and approach will instruct me a different landing runway. All, Recently I noticed that scenery around my aircraft is displaying as blank light blue tiles. (See images in this post). This occurs outside of a short radius from the aircraft. ie The immediate area around the aircraft, say 2 miles, is ok, then surrounded by a ring of blue as well as some random missing tiles further afield. It occurs in all global locations and airports - US, Australia etc. (Even in the default Friday Harbor flight now has the issue). I re-installed FSDT KLAX due to performance issues, and it installed an older version of GSX. So now I have to download an updated addon manager, especially if I ever want to see the deicing trucks again. Problem is that it's taking an ridculous amount of time just to download 16.5mb. The Media Fire site, due to advertising and requests for "paid membership" seems like an unprofessional place for an established retail operation like FSDT to host files. Most developers rely on dedicated servers or online stores. However, MediaFire doesn't appear to be down, so I'm not sure where the problem is exactly. I'm having some problems with FSX:SE texture behaviour. The main view is fine, but the second view is very pale, it's like there's greyish layer over everything. The other problem is with the airport ground textures. I've got Zinertek HD airport textures installed and I install the REX4 airport ground textures and such over it. Now when I start FSX:SE I get the REX4 textures, but when I adjust the time and season settings, I'm getting the Zinertek textures and what's more, I'm getting the Zinertek winter textures, while I set the season to summer and all textures around are summer textures. Anyone know what the problem can be and how to fix this?

Hi guys, I'm having a maddening problem with my 747 and 747-8i developed by PMDG. The problem is that the airplan cannot keep the crz altitude. For example, if the crz altitude is 35000ft, the plane starts to climb and descend around the 35000ft. It goes between 600 and 1200 fts up (35600-36200) and the descend very fast to around 34000ft. If there is something I can do, please me let me now so I can star flying again this beauty. Thanks!!

About an hour in to every flight the sound starts crackling. Even if I go to youtube when it happens and try a video, that sound is also crackling. Anybody else have this or know where to start?

I remember there being a certain Windows Update that caused problems or compatibility issues with FSX or some addon(s) in FSX. Does anyone remember what update number that was? I've searched and be darned if I can find it.

Hi everyone, Since moving to P3D I can't stop the ident morse coming through on my main speakers. Its turned down on radio stack so I'm not sure if the sound is coming from P3D or from the Q400. Anyone experienced this? Many thanks

Don't know how long it's been out, but the latest release (1.3.2) of FSX Fiber Accelerator now works with FSX-SE.

I am having a problem with the Majestic Q400 where I am using the FMS, and it suddenly freezes. The buttons become un-clickable and the FMS is stuck on a certain page. Any ideas?

This software is great and has no FPS impact at all and makes great looking weather. I replaced the REX 4 cirrus clouds with the HDRV2 and it looks great way better than the rex textures. I recommend giving this and the HDRV2 cirrus clouds a try. http://www.plane-pics.de/fsxwx/home.htm

Hello! I would like to kindly ask if somebody knows an ATC addon (pay or free) that can be installed and controlled from a networked client. I have Radar Contact and ATCPRO-X, but they both shows on the main FSX pc and can be controlled only from the main FSX pc. I just would like to read and answer/control the ATC from the client pc. I am curious to know if the Instant Replay feature of the Flight simming is important and how many folks use this feature? I use it almost all the time..after a long flight and after I have done a decent job I put this in a loop and watch it for a long time. How about you guys? And I find it annoying when my some of my airport scenery disappears when I do this. I really want to know if I am one of the few who laments about this..or are there others like me?

Hello all, after installing P3D 2.5 and then Maj q400, I seem to have lost all interior sounds (announcements, music, flaps, gear etc) but can hear all external sounds perfectly - no problems with PMDG 777 or Milviz B350i by the way, just as a reference). I see there were a few sound issues on these forums but could not find the same kind of problem I am having. Any ideas anyone?

Hi to all, I have recently acquired the a2a C172 with the intention of using it in FSX with a package of vfr scenery for real flying practice...the aim is to use the E6B Flight Computer together with the navigation plotter for some navigation exercises. I know that there will be limitations as to FSX vs real flying but at least I would be able to practice more the routines of plotting the flight on a sectional chart, find heading and distances and monitoring speed and recalculating headings and speeds as the flight progresses. I seriously need help with my LOD, and I don't understand how to fix it with other people's computer setups... So here are my specs... Intel i3-3220T @2.80 ghz 4 gigs of RAM Windows 8.1 x64 And Intel 4000 graphics The specs run well in rural areas and smaller airports averaging about 20 fps (locked at 20) Bigger airports/cities like KJFK will drop my frames until everything loads (about 5 minutes or so once I get in the sim) I average about 12 frames in bigger airports. But I don't really care much about the frames here, I really want to increase my LOD because whenever I look out the window, I hate seeing blurry textures and then they all randomly load in...…

Hello everyone, I have an ongoing thread in the CTD forum and Jim Young has been helping me a lot and I am quite grateful for it - thanks Jim! I'm posting here to see if anyone else can help me as my problems have escalated with FSX. I have done a fresh install of the sim (FSX + Acceleration), and in my winsxs folder, I only find one simconnect folder/dll. There are then 3 manifest files that have each name of the update (60905, 61242, 61259). The folder is 61259, the most updated one. I have not installed anything from the sdk or simconnect.msi since the fresh install. After installing Ezdok, I find that it does not connect to my simulator when it loads up,…

Look around with no luck to find any replacement for snow effects on fsx exept precipitfx but is not working for FSX SE at this time. Snow looks to bright while in flight at nigh and its really annoying on long ftrip... It should be way more dark. Though by buying AS2012 and REX will resolved my problem but nope.. Anyone knows how to tweak it!? Thanks

Hi! I've Wilco HJJ. I wonder why it has only 6 basic versions armed ones are missing, I browsed Internet and found pics. of armed Wilco HJJ. Full ground set is missing too. Must I buy these separately. I've try to get contact to Wilco, in vain. Is it possible to add attachments on topic and how.
