On a flight from EGBB (Birmingham, England) to LGTS (Thessalonika, Greece) today my aircraft passed over the MEDUX waypoint in southern former Yugoslavia. I looked down over the snowy mountains and was disappointed and surprised to see this... I have UTX Europe but I think this area is outside its reach. FTX Global is active together with FS Global Ultimate (Europe). My PC is no slouch (i7 4770K o/c to 4.4, GTX 780 3Gb). Scenery settings are Extremely Dense and mesh is at 5m. FPS is locked at 45. Any ideas why the card is not capable of rendering the landscape better than this?

I have just installed FSX on a new computer on a dedicated SSD. Win 7 Home Premium 64. When checking some default aircraft I see that the Piper Cub only shows as a skeleton. All the other default aircraft are ok as well as some payware addons. Does anyone know why this might be. I noticed that SDK was not installed during the installation, but I remember that the last time I installed FSX on my old computer it was. That seems to be the only difference that I have noticed up to now. Could that be the reason? Bob

Hi All Im re installing FSX-Se and as normal when firing up FSX it asks if I want to run these. I select yes however its asking me every time I start FSX. What would be causing that? In our quest to find that sweet spot for our beloved hobbie, we have to give (loads) and take (less) with the results to get FSX looking and running as best as our machines will handle. We have all tweeked at some point. We have all upgraded at some point and how we are not all bold (no insult meant) by pulling our hair out, is beyond me. Anyway, I found a little trick I'd like to share with you, and I'm guess it's not for most but, if like me you run your computer using a TV and not a dedicated monitor, if you go to the settings on the TV, and set the sharpness to 0, then go to NI and drop what ever you use to reduce jaggies by 1 level, in my case thats SGSS from …

FSX and my rig just don't get along... I tend to get uber stutters especially with payware addons. It could be my lower OC of 4GHz (can't go any further anymore, OC seems to die once in a while). I've tried the usual fps locked to 30 (in places where I'd get 2-4x more than that if unlimited) I've tried unlimited in game but vsync set to 1/2 refresh rate in nvidia inspector Back in the day I think I used the FPS limiter with some success. But I'm wondering if somehow that's outdated now? If not what file should I get and where? Hi all Here i am again looking for your help, After a checking round the net to find if it is posible, to fly a Focker 100/70 on fsx. I have read that the two sites that produce Fockers for FSX say they are not compatable with DX10 Preview setting.and I dont understand what that means. As my GPU shows up at DX11 would I be able to use these aircraft as I was weened on Progject Focker from it birth in 2004. Okay I had FSX-SE running great and showing the correct folder structure however I needed to re install both win7 & FSX-SE However FSX-SE is creating the old FSX folder structure and a fsx.cfg (not fsx_se.cfg) and the old fsx.scenery cfg. I used both F1 & ORBX registry repair and a registry cleaner but it didnt help However before I try to find a fix for this, my question is can I leave it this way? Hi, I have been experimenting recently with AI aircraft and flight schedules in Ultimate Traffic 2, at Aerosoft's Mega Airport Heathrow addon. Indulging in a little plane-spotting and using EZDOK to position myself at a convenient location close to a runway, I find am subjected to a continuous, unbearable noise which in no way represents the level of activity injected into the sim by either the airport addon or the AI aircraft of UT2. Has anybody else experienced this problem, and if so have you found a way to lessen or remove it? It seems a shame that, if this is hard-coded into FSX, it detracts from enjoyment of the general ambience of an airport environment. …

Thank heavens for this Forum' wide tolerance range. Example, if one makes a numerical error quoting a year, one does not get shot at or have a topic locked just for making such a typos error, unlike a Forum elsewhere. One sure way of dissuading potential would-be customers.

Hi all i cant believe im going to ask this but i have tottaly forgot how to do this and my brain drawing a blank. My question is how do i get the autopilot to follow the gps route ive moved the switch from nav to gps and have a flightplan on the gps but i cant get the autopilot to follow the gps and when i go into the autopilot panel it wont let me click the nav button so it will follow the desired route im currently having to use the heading button to follow my gps route what am i doing wrong as i used to be able to click the nav button on the autopilot and it would follow the gps route. thanks in advance hayden

Dell Users - buzzing sound and video stutter/glitch/freeze momentarily every 60 seconds - since Feb 2015 - solved. Note this symptom also occurs on regular video playback - eg DVDs, YouTube and web video on demand etc, not just FSX. Hi I have had the uk version in prepar3d and was very happy with it. Have just installed the new version into prepar3d v2.3 and am flying round Liverpool and the splash lighting is far too orange. Originally it was like the screen shots on the aerosoft site, much more yellow/orange. Now it is really orange. Any ideas why? Regards Chris

Hi there, I have downloaded alacrity PC but I don't see a profile for windows 7, and when I use the vista profile a message telling alacrity stopped working appears, I can't get alacrity to stop programs and launch FSX, any help?

Sure hope there is someone out there that can help. My problem happens in a variety of planes: When in a default aircraft such as the Cessna 172. I go to the view pulldown menu and select Instrument panel, then select either Main stack or GPS. The window pops up very briefly then dissappears. If I move my mouse curser over where it briefly appeared, although invisible, it is there and can be made visible if I undock the window. When in a payware aircraft such as the PMDG NGX737. I click on one of the MFD's, it also briefly appears then dissappears. If I click in the vicinity of the location, then it will not appear but rather pop back into its proper loca…
