Hello! Using FSX deluxe edition (not -SE) I have recently had some issues with soma "anty" textures on my terrain. It doesn't seem to affect addon scenery, but on the normal terrain there appears some boxes like those in the images. I can post my .cfg if necessary, just let me know in that case. (on approach) (top down)

Strange post this one, but thought I’d check out views or ideas on this… Although it’s due to reasons I’d prefer didn’t exist, I have a lot of spare time to use FSX and other sims and games. I’m also reasonably fortunate, in that I’m able to afford ‘most’ of the addons that I choose. This means that: a I have a very large number of mostly high end addons b That my FSX installation tends to be large, and so sometimes more unstable than it otherwise might be. Sadly, the more addons that you pile onto FSX, the more unwieldy it tends to get. Anyway, to my point… There must be others out there with all these complex addons installed. Do you guys end up like me…

I'm using OpusFSI 4.47.3 with P3D 2.5.12944.0. When calling up the show Metar, Crib, Flight Plan, SID and STAR reports from the Add-ons menu they always come up behind the P3D screen so I have to minimise P3D to see them. Is this what's supposed to happen? The Weather Reports come up on top of P3D where they can be seen. Thanks, gb.

Hey, like it´s says in the title I´m looking for good FSX AI traffic. It should be payware. I hope you can give me some recommendation. It can be good looking models because my PC should handle it.

Not a major prob but just wondered?due to the age of FSX,many runways have been renamed, re their magnetic heading,for example the sim directed me to runway 9L, Ft Lauderdale Florida,which is now 10L,my home airport Waterloo Regional Ontario Canada,runway 7 is now runway 8,I use Simplates Ultra & Active Sky,fortunately not many frequencies have changed, & its easy to figure which runway plate, to use,is there a fix for this? Hei, I've tweaked and tested my fsx.cfg and I'm rather happy with it at the moment, so I don't want to mess it up. I read once that one istn't supposed to change the settings in FSX itself, otherwise the tweaks done to the fsx.cfg get lost. Is this realy the case? Supposed I want to change the autogen density, can I do that by changing the FSX gui sliders without loosing any of the other settings/tweaks? Or should i do the via a text editor in the fsx.cfg itself? cheers, Rafael

There has to be some way to see the Aircraft dimensions so that one can easily place Shockwave lighting in the aircraft.cfg. So far I have about 20% of the AI Aircraft done for Landing and Taxi lights, it's just taking forever with no real reference. I have found some on A2A forum but they don't work for UT2 Aircraft, the dimensions are too far off. I guess I could work off of bleedair.de's Navi Lights config and work backwards. :unsure: I also can not find actual real aircraft lighting placement dimensions. :mad:

Hello all. I have a quick question for everyone. After installing GSX from FSdreamteam, and EZdok, each time I start FSX-SE, I am prompted to manually start couatl.exe and EZCA.exe. Is there a workaround for this so that they will automatically launch? Thanks in advance for any assistance.

This was my case until a couple of minutes ago when I finally found the culprit. I haven't had an issue with FSX for a looong time now and out of the blue I was no longer able to load my last saved flight in FSX...it would stop at 7% loading terrain data. I was very puzzled since I used FSX without any issues only a couple of days ago and again haven't had any issues for ages. After doing some troubleshooting including removing fsx.cfg (which did let FSX successfully load the default free flight) I first thought it was my previously saved flight that got corrupted somehow. I saved my new flight and then tried restarting FSX to reload this newly saved situation and…

Hello, After making a recent flight in to Birmingham UK (EGBB) within FSX I noticed that the Honiley VOR DME (Freq. 113.65) is showing a very odd DME reference when tuned. The VOR can be tracked with both Nav 1 and Nav 2 but the DME for Honiley VOR shows 127 NM DME when directly over the Nav Aid? When you try to follow the DME tracking the miles down, they disappear at 116 NM DME when Honiley drops out of range and the actual Nav 1 and Nav 2 Bearing needles drops out at the same time (if both tuned to 113.65). Hello, I have recently upgraded my system because of low performance issues. My new specs are: i7-3770k @ 4.0ghz, GTX 970 4gb and 8gb Ram, Windows 7 Ultimate My config I've been playing with to work out whats gone wrong and I'm still very unsure as my fps can be as low as 8-9 fps in the sky. It also has lag spikes. Before you ask I use 3 monitors 1920x1200 on surround of a resolution of 5760 x 1200 on the gtx 970 (Running the flight). And a smaller monitor on a gtx 610 @ 1280x1024 (This for maps)... I have just used NVidia inspector for locking frames and other various things around on internet in there recommendations. I have UT2 which is brilliant for scheduled traffic and GA. I have downloaded lots of freeware GA planes to really add some interest and diversity in the planes spotted at airfields. What I miss is the touch and go. I can create these at specific airfields with AITraffic Planner, but never seen a UT2 plane perform one. Is there any utility out there that replicates GA planes performing touch and goes at smal airfields ... or am I asking too much? Is there something in UT2 that I've missed? There are various GA categories in UT2 including Trainer, which I assumed would be aircraft perfoming TNGs. But, as I said, never seen one outside of AIFP.

I have installed FSX Gold only for my PMDG 777, besides T7 i only have installed FTX Global and updated AFCAD from AVSIM Library, I don't have installed third party airports. I have very bad stutters with the above setup, no AI traffic, no ground traffic, minimum settings, modiffied cfg from Kostas site, nothings working for me!

I have always noticed slight changes in camera viewpoint when flying , but lately it has gotten really extreme, to a point where i tried a complete clean install of Opus and completely deleted all of my camera def files and started fresh. Still this problem persist's. It wasn't that noticable until i busted my Traclip Pro and have been flying with my camera views that i have set up on my Razer mouse through my keyboard (also how I re-centre TIR). Everything starts out fine with all my view points exactly as set up in my camera control, but by the time I'm up at my cruise altitude, i have shifted forward by a simulated distance of about a foot. Can anyone explain why even though I have 'use system time' checked FSX is ignoring it? i.e its dark during my day and vice versa?

I am an old flight simmer who has not been active and is returning to the hobby after an absence of about 6 years. I keep hearing about FSX Steam but cannot seem to get my head around it. Is it a new edition of FSX or an add-on? Could someone take the time to explain it to me ... it would be appreciated. Regards Dave

I also know that it is virtually unheard of for any flight simulator rig to have NO stuttering whatsoever. Have been using SweetFX for a while now and on certain occasions I've used Bandicam to record some flights, however noticed with some disappoinment that Bandicam doesn't seem to capture the vivid colour and brightness that SweetFX produces, the end result being just a plain recording as you would get if you were to turn off SweetFX. Does anybody know if there is any way to solve this issue? Regards

I was looking at the units I think I may go with the 650 as I think it will fit into almost every cockpit of my GA planes and since it's touch screen I shouldn't have to worry about the buttons on some of the VC's not working correct? My worry is that it's too large and will look weird if it's installed into let's sat the Carenado C340. Any input on this before I spend $70

Hi all As I only Fly around the UK usually below 3,000ft so eye candy is very important to me. but back in the days when i used to use FS2002/4/and FSX I seem to remember there was a way to cut down on the Terrain data load time . Although it only takes about 15 seconds It would be nice to speed it up. Is it posible in windows 7 64bit or would you recomend me to be more patient :blush: Regards Rex.

hi all having lots of problems with my pmdg 747 sound i cant hear the engines in the cockpit i have posted a long and detailed post in the omdg 747 section.i have just reinstalled the pmdg 747 and it never asked me to accept any of the options.DLL and sound.DLL im thinking this could be the cause of the problemi have done this before but cant remember what to pressi know if you hold certain buttons on the fsx main screen it makes u accept all the dll files again and you have to click yes throught all of them again the only problem is i cant remember what keys u press do do this it ages since i done itso could you give me a hand to see if it is a sound.DLL issue or not.if …
