I have found some other posts here on this topic, but before I start making changes I would like to understand more about what is happening here. The situation: In this past week my FSX has gone to “slow motion”. This is not an fps issue, nor is a simulation rate (as defined in the FSX menu). Both are unchanged (and 1X in the case of the sim rate). But when I put the NGX into a standard rate turn (360 degrees in 2 minutes), the entire 360 degrees takes much longer- maybe twice as long. Hello guysn'gals! - I'm a newbie. But it didn't take long before I had several add-ons. And today I'm making a fresh install of the entire system. A tedious job. Whilst sitting here, I started to think that if you have more than addon that targets the same area, in this case the environment surrounded by the world, is it something special one should keep in mind when installing? The trim wheel in my default 737 has a very small travel arc.All other planes have full range.The AP is off.Could I have something else activated that is causing this?Thanks,Ron

Hello, I am currently having a problem with FSX and I haven't been able to fix it on my own. I think I did something without knowing and now, I can't fix it. For example, regardless at which ever airport I start with, my elevation seems to be below sea level and the rest of my sceneries show up at about 10 feet above me. Also, when I zoom out from the top view into the global map, a sandy color polygon surrounds my location. Again, this is everywhere. I have tried to see if it had to do with any of my sceneries but since its happening with all of them, I now think the problem is with FSX itself. Flying around the Greek islands, and more recently Indonesia, I've noticed strange coastlines ... he beaches are there and the surf washes onto them, but there is missing land. THe images below are of the Krakatoa island chain, you can see some missing land. The central, circular island, is missing altogether! This kind of missing land is common for me right through Indonesia. Anyone else??????

In the beginning days testing my computer with FSX, I got so bad performance that I decided to spend some money into the new hardwares (new CPU and VGA). However with the help from a friend I got to know about tweaking the fsx.cfg and wow, it DOES boost the performance that I managed to run quite smooth PMDG 777/Aerosoft Airbus with some detailed airports. Of course settings only at dense and normal. Now I'm thinking about not buying new computer parts and use those money into some scenery addons. After days of reading topics and googling, I'm going for Fsglobal Ultimate and FTX Global. From what I've read these 2 shouldn't impact my fps much? So I'm done for mesh and…

Hi I used to fly on the fsxeu sever, I thought I would start flying on there server again after a short break but i cant find the mp server. There is a page for fsxeu http://fsxeu.com/ but no way of connecting. Dose anyone know what happend to them & will the server be back in the future . thanks Tim

Hello guys please no flame wares etc etc lol I just want to have in idea on the frame rate between the fily 737 in fsx and the pmdg 737 ngx with in add-on airport like fsdreamteam or flytampa? just in honest opinon I respect both developers so I'm not talking about which is better just trying to get in idea on frame rates. As never having installed FSX, even though I have owned the boxed version for some time, I decided to try out the SE version and downloaded it on Jan. 2 2015. Then after a few days I uninstalled it. Today I reinstalled SE and want to work with it. So I have a couple (for now) of questions. I'm aware that SE has been updated and I checked the cfg file and it shows an updated file as of todays date. So I believe that all the recent changes by STEAM are now included in this latest download. Correct? Hi! This is in FSX:Steam! Both EZdok camera (1185) and Coutl script for GSX stopped working after installing the newest Active Sky Next update. I had the FSX:Steam ASN SP2 installed before and everything worked just perfectly. Now, all of a sudden, EZCA doesnt start automatically and if I open the Config Manager again and run the configurator I get this message: The ROOT section in EXE.XML file not found EZCA will not start automatically' But this section exists! It havent changed one bit. I have no idea what has happend. Ive tried reinstalling both ASN and EZdok 1.5 and the 1185 beta with no luck. This is how my exe.xml looks like: <?xml version="1.0" enco…

I am installing aircraft to FSX on my new computer. While adding repaints with my old computer I had no issues saving the changes I made to the aircraft.cfg file, it always asked if I wanted to save the changes and I said yes, done deal. Now with my new computer running windows 7 it asked if I want to save the changes I made to the cfg file and then when I hit yes a window pops up that says access denied. There must be something I can change to allow me to make changes to the cfg but I have not got a clue how to do that. Can anybody instruct me? Thanks.

Hello! I have used ezdok for a long time in fsx. I recently reinstalled fsx and all my addons. When i start fsx and ezdok now, it always starts in a 2d cockpit.. When I remove the "2d panel", I can't see anything but the runway. It works if i use the "copilot view" in fsx, but when i try to change the view (A & S), it changes the "copilot view"... I have removed the key commands in settings.. its the same with deffult planes and the ngx.. Software and addons: - Fsx sp1 and sp2 (no acceleration) - ezdok - Active sky - PMDG 737 NGX Can anyone please help me ? :-)

I know about the aerosoft beaver X and think it is ok, just looks a bit dated. I was wondering if there are any other good dhc2 beaver payware/ freeware versions out there? Also i only want an amphibious version as as i fly in the PNW region and do flights with the a2a c172 but sometimes i fly to an airport that says there is a land port but only water is there anyways, if anyone has any recommendations that would be awesome. Also would love it because i fly on fseconomy alot now and need a good bush plane that i can land anywhere with a few more passenger seats so i figure use the beaver for a bit then upgrade to the aersoft twin otter, also if anyone knows if the …

The Alabeo Tomahawk is not working for me in FSX. There are two problems: 1) The fuselage is invisible, both in the external view and virtual cockpit. (I will attempt to post a screenshot below.) 2) The mixture constantly goes to zero (full lean). If I try and move the mixture lever on my Saitek quadrant the mixture lever will rapidly bounce back and forth between where the Saitek lever is and zero. If I don't move the Saitek lever, the mixture goes to zero and stays there until I move the Saitek lever again. This advice applies to FSX / FSX:SE parallel installs only! Firstly, one of the things FSX:SE users may have noticed is that add-on scenery that is installed using the proper installer, never gets automatically added to your Scenery Library and always needs to be added manually within the sim. This is because all scenery installers for FSX, add the scenery by updating the Scenery.cfg file, and in the boxed version of FSX, this file is located at :- C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\FSX\Scenery.cfg So an installer that was intended for the boxed version of FSX, will always update the Scenery.cfg at the above location. Bonjour, On approach with a surface wind of 040/20kts (gust 31 slight wind shear), I do not see the effect of gusts on TAS and wind velocity displayed on the EFIS PMDG 737NGX. The wind velocity is very stable and doesn't reflect the gust effect. If I close the FSI server then the TAS and the wind velocity reflect the gust effect and even if the FSI turbulence are gone, I can feel the effect of wind gust. So there is something related to FSI stabilisation I do not understand, that's why I am asking. The weather is loaded from a saved theme, and I am running 4.48.2 in FSX. Merci Cheers Claude

When I am in the aircraft select mode, I see some AI aircrafts. Yet, when I go into the aircraft folder, I find no folder nor any reference to these AI. I want to remove them, but am puzzled as to where they might be. thanks tony

Hello,I am having some shimmering issues with older FSX scenery - FLYMex comes to mind but their are others.I know individuals apply their own mipmaps to the scenery using image tool.Can some kind individual please explain how to do this?Also, can you just do it for all of the textures in one folder and if so, you do you do it?

I tried to download the Instant Mission Maker on the flight one site and couldn't open the file. Flight one stated that they no longer support it. I tried to get an answer from them , but didn't get a reply yet. I'm just wondering if it could be bought now. Is there another mission maker that is good ? I heard the other mission maker is very difficult . Any ideas ?

Hi all, I would like to practice gliding more as I believe I am more passionate about it than jets or GA single-engines and it is something that I think I will be much more likely to do in reality from a financial point of view. Therefore I would like to train my skills up in gliding. This brings me to which simulator would be best to train gliding? It should be realistic but also visually appealing which is a must for me. I currently run FSX and P3d and have practiced in FSX with the DiscusX add-on and cumulusx/wingex. Also it would be nice to fly online with other gliders live.
