Hello, I'm locking for freeware taxi and-runway textures for every airport in FSX. Does anyone know where I can find them ?

Hello pilots! I've been experimenting with OpenGl lately and used my VfrFlight (http://vfrflight.org) flight planner as a playground. Results are visible in screenshots below. So I have a new computer and re-installed FSX and most of my add-ons. However I don't think I am going to re-install my Captain Sim 727 or my Level D 767. My thoughts are that I should get something newer and take advantage of what my new computer can do, plus I'm sure the newer airliners are more aesthetically pleasing. I should mention I have the iFly 737 which I re-installed and with the newest updates, I'm pretty happy with it. Here are my thoughts: PMDG 747 = it's liklely dated like my LD 767, so not sure much point in that one iFly 747 = not a lot of info on it, but it sounds like it needs a SP1 to fix it, and not sure when that will be. Lately I have been having an issue with fuel in the Turbine Duke in Prepar3d. I have not noticed it in FSX but it may be because I've been primarily flying it in Prepar3d lately. For example if I depart and set my tank to 100 gallons each, fly an hour and land, the fuel resets to 130 gallons each tank on shutdown (full). I recreated it in a test as well. I have also seen the fuel decrease during flight while monitoring I may notice 25 gallons each tank, then look down 2 minutes later to see 9 gallons each tank. Has anyone else had any issues like this? I sent a support email earlier, hopefully I find a solution.

I just realized that my max weight and empty weight values for virtually all of my AI planes are way too light. For instance, my Fruit Stand A330-300 has an empty weight value of only 103,170 pounds. Could this error be the reason AI planes seem to have such incredible stopping and takeoff power? I want to go in and change all the planes to the correct RW weights, but will changing the values cause any harm to their behavior? I just looked at the A380 and its empty weight is only 287,500lbs.

There is a section on winds on Ed Williams' "Aviation Formulary" page which provides various formulae to find wind correction angle (WCA). One of the variables used is wind direction (from). I know that usually the direction of winds aloft is given in true degrees while the surface winds are given in magnetic to help pilots determine the proper runway. However, I couldn't understand which wind direction (true or magnetic) Ed uses for his WCA formulae. Hello all I am a long time FSX pilot but I usually don't fly online as my schedule keeps me from knowing if I can sit for a full flight. That said I am trying to use Topcat with FSCaptain to keep things a little interesting. I typically fly the PMDG 737-800. I have been having some trouble for quite some time with the weights FSCaptain gives me and then getting Topcat to accept those wights. I have tried to follow some of the posts regarding this kind of setup but I seem to either be missing something or my base configuration for Topcat and FSCaptain are not matching. The EXECUTIVE SPARTAN from Milton Shupe and other collaborators for FSX! I can't express how much I absolutely love this airplane. It's so realistic to me, and the cockpit is superb....looking out over that long nose. I sounds spectacularly in all views and I especially love the sound in the spot view. WOW. I would like to get the RUSTY version of this plane in FSX. I've only seen it for 2004, but it may work. The Stainless Steel polished fuselage is a joy to look at and to fly. Lately I'm mostly flying A2A planes and PMDG 737NGX. We all know that NGX is a FPS eater, and it will eat around 50% of cpu cycles, equals 50% lower frame rates. In my tests, on LSZH I have around 65fps with a trike and UT2 traffic, in NGX around 32, exactly 50% lower. So literally out of boredom I unchecked High-resolution 3-D virtual cockpit, and on my surprise FPS went up from around 32 to 40, without even a slightest loss of detail in VC textures, no difference! Even I see now less stutters and blurries now with NGX, but I'll take that with a grain of salt, must test further. I am looking for a introductory guide to the Garmin G1000 PFD / MFD set that addresses the 20% of the features that are used 80% of the time. (I am not ready for an 800 page manual). Especially for use with default Cessna-172 and Mooney-Bravo. Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance JD

Today i was flying a default 737 repaint from honolulu to fiji. A total of 2700 nm. The default 737 has a range of 3000 nm so what is going on. I ran out of fuel and crashed about 1000 nm away from nadi. Someone explain this to me.

I wrote this topic in PMDG 737NGX forum, since I think it only affects the PMDG 737NGX cockpit, but I didn't get any answers, so I'm writing here instead. I have always used PanelAsTexture=0 with my FS, it stops Anti ALiasing Settings to Blur the 2d Panel. But with PMDG 737NGX that setting stops the VC Textures from loading, the 2D works fine. Does anyone know any other solution I can use? I hate the look of the FMC with all that blur. Thanks!

Looking for payware airports that come with a HUGE area of land around the airport. Preferably with hand placed autogen. I'm thinking Taxi2gate's MMMX is the largest out there. Is there anything with more area?

Hi all: I have a problem here that I really didn't know where to take it so I brought it here. In FSX I've been flying various bizjets and settled in on the ESDG Citation X. Well, something has gotten corrupted along the way which results in the center fuel tank not feeding automatically as it is supposed to, and used to at one time in this aircraft. Similar to the B737 the center tank is supposed to feed automatically until close to empty, then fuel is drawn from the wing tanks. Right now with this aircraft in my system, the ESDG Citation X, the fuel is feeding from the wing tanks only. In order to cause the center tank to feed I must turn on the switches that override …

I have a fully functional VC but when I swith to outside view during flight (on ground, it's ok), my 777 looks like a ghost airplane, only some black parts like windows and tires are visible. Should be some setting problem I guess?! Help pleasee! Bulent Bidk

Lets say I want to fly a flight where both the DEP and ARR airports are 3rd party airports that I have installed - as an example: DEP airport: FlightBeams' KIAD ARR airport: FSDreamTeams' PHNL ACFT: PMDG T7 I have the above airports "checked" in SCE I also have all the FSX Base entries "checked" in SCE I have all other payware and FSX specific airports "unchecked" in SCE.
