Hi Jim, I just downloaded scenery config editor because I have a lot of scenery issues, elevation problems, buildings in the wrong area etc. I have FTX Northern California, New Zealand, and Europe along with numerous add on airports. When I switched regions for the first time, that's when I started to have these issues. The scenery config editor shows approximately 80% of my scenery has errors! and the errors are "path can not be found". Can this be fixed or will I have to completely uninstall FSX and start over? Several days ago, FlyTampa announced Amsterdam, presumably for FSX and P3D. According to their forum, it is planned for a 2015 release. I'm personally very, very excited for this. Hopefully they'll be able to find a way to get around the performance issues that plague AMS (related to the number of taxiways). I have installed carefully these two planes in FSX, with flightplans and textures checked for FSX with AI Flight Planner. hey guyzz i have recently purchased Microsoft flight simulator x (standard) version ... now i have given the cd to my friends for enjoying the game.... meanwhile i have purchased PMDG 747x or something like that for fsx .... the problem arises when i wanted to install that thing it says to update your FLIGHT SIMULATOR to SP1 .. or better ,, I downloaded the FSX_SP1_ENU.exe from microsoft site... it says "This Service pack Requires original release of Flight Simulator X . please install FLIGHT SIMULATOR X and then run the SP1 Installation" the problem arises when the cd is not working at all.... it stops at around 20%... pls help guyz

Hello-. So I want to start recording some of my flights, but I fly in windowed mode. Is there a way to record FSX in windowed mode without showing the icon bar or the border? With ShadowPlay, I can record FSX, but it includes the icon bar and the border (top of frame).

Hi Captains, I did post this topic some minutes back but it did not show up hence once again. This may have already been discussed before but I do not seem to find it. I have done my research on the net and what I see are a mixed results as to the performance and stability of FSx steam against the boxed version. I tend to run it on my laptop like the boxed version even though I have a desktop which I seldom use now. Do not intend to use ORBX or PMDG stuff except Carenado / Alabeo and REX Direct, I would appreciate all reviews from users who are using the steam version so that I can decide if I should purchase it. all help appreciated …

I`ve been told by a few friends that CFG tweaking is key for a better performance in FSX. After doing some research, I`ve read about different tweaks that can be applied. The only thing that I am sure that I will try is the highmefix which seems to be essential. Here are my specs: 2gb RAM Intel Pentium E5500 2.8ghz ATI Radeon HD4350 Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit What other tweaks should I make? Thanks in advance

hi all has anyone had problems with scenery config editor in fsx se it ran ok in boxed fsx but will not even open in steam I have deleted original fsx version and only use fsx steam version I think it will have something to do with registry but if it has I do no how to fix can anyone help please I have uninstalled scenery config editor a number of times and downloaded the latest version it seems to install ok but will not open when clicking the icon jstorey20

Hi all, I have a strange issue when taking screenshots at night. Somehow, it's all black. No lights, nothing. All I can see is (if it's set) the parking brake and the other notifications in red. During daytime, everything is working correctly. Are others having the same issue? Regards Bart

I hear that you must have registered FSUIPC to be able to use the FADEC on the Citation 2.0. But, I've seen many people say that they have been able to not use FSUIPC and still manage to get the FADEC to work. I use the Saitek Pro-Flight Throttle Quadrant, has anyone had any luck getting this to work w/out FSUIPC? -I am asking here because I'm not able to be in the Eaglesoft forums yet. I would like to add one more question, what is the performance like, in comparison to Airbus X Extended and/or PMDG's 737 NGX?

Hi All, Have a strange one and hop you can help I am rubbish at Stars and Sids but that isn't the problem, but I also like to Fly IFR Flight plans as the ATC direct me on take off and line me up for approaches. Up until recently I was Doing this method of flying in My Avro and really enjoyed it. The avro allows you to upload FSX default flight plans so it made things very easy. I then decided to move onto something more modern and after purchasing a nice Airbus add on pack, I spent 4 or 5 days just messing about with it to learn to fly before starting serious flying. Just a little bit curious how many of you still use the taxing On option when taxing for takeoff. Do you get lost with out using the taxing on option on big airport ?

After flying an assortment of aircraft in FSX I decided to try some military aircraft , I am so glad I did. After a little of research I discovered a company called VRS. They are the PMDG of the military. The F/A18E Super Hornet is as real as it gets. They also have the Tack Pack which enables you to bomb ground targets and all aircraft flying around in FSX , complete with smoke and flames. Up to this point I never thought it was even possible in FSX. The Hornet is a real challenge, almost everything works. This just adds another level of flying to FSX. I thought I would post this for those who are looking for a real as it gets experience.

Hello all, On my past two visits to St Maarten, I noticed that most of the ramps are packed with business jets. When I got back home, I was inspired to fly to SXM in FSX. When I did, I was disappointed because there were not nearly as many business jets parked. I found a picture online (posted by Daniel Fall) which shows almost exactly what it looks like in real life in FSX. Hey all, I recently picked up this scenery, and it seems its got a serious issue with the elevation of the runway and taxi-ways. The new runway seems to hover about 3 feet over the default on, and When I land, I pass right through it. Does anybody have this problem, and know how to fix it? There is nothing about a update or patch on the LVFR website, and nothing on their forums.

Hello i'm seriously considering a REX product but i need some help on which one. *i have low-end PC* What i don't want I don't want cloud textures from REX unless the fps are better than world environment 2012 I certainly don't want the weather program because i have FS Global Real Weather ( Can i disable this ) ? What i do want from REX New water textures Lighting New runway textures if possible? QUESTION I don't want REX weather to interfere with FS Real weather - is it possible to disable this? Is REX worth adding with Fs Global real weather and World environment 2012? Thanks , Nathan

I'm trying to do a re-install of Ultimate Traffic 2. I have the key number and had the download activated . I tried option one and two. Option one was too complicated for me since I have a hard time with files. Option two has been tried a number of times and shouldn't be a problem since I have a high end computer and it's very fast. I always shut off Windows Firewall, Advance System Care Pro and Node 32. I get the " Ultimate Traffic 2_2.exe, in my (E) Drive where FSX is and after compatibility mode changing it to Windows 7 which I have and typing " everyone " and checking all boxes it just won't open. Hello Is anyone else seeing a discrepancy between the FPS reading from FRAPS v the reading from FSPS Fiber Accelerator? If FSPS Fiber Accelerator is indicating 30fps on Middle Frames Per Second selected, I get FRAPS showing 16fps at the same time. Why the difference / which is correct? Thanks in anticipation Andrew

Installed the latest OpusFSX and noticed that "aircraft camera" external view shows skeleton frame on the PMDG 737NGX. I'm running FSX-SE version. Other aircraft are OK. Wonder if anyone can help.

I posted this at ASN and it stumped Damian (he asked that I open a ticket), so I thought someone here might have an idea of what could have gone wrong: I installed ASN SP2 with my FSX:MS install and now ATC menu commands are ignored completely, e.g. when I select to request taxi to runway nothing at all happens, though I can switch to different ATC menus without problem. I uninstalled ASN and reinstalled with SP1B and the ATC commands came back. I then reinstalled SP2 with the same results as the first time. Any suggestions? Thanks for reading.

I have some ORBX regions which have mesh included. I also have some Mega scenery Earth photo scenery and UTX Europe. So I'm looking for some good mesh for use in areas outside my Orbx regions that will work fine with UTX and MSE. What options are there ? I'm aware of FSGenesis mesh but I did have some issues in FS9 with it not working well with UTX. I want a product that can be installed in both FSX, FSX-SE and P3DV2.

OK - I have tried all the solutions proposed in these forums, but am still having the "reactivation" problem. I believe I have had it for several years since I tried to install Acceleration, but ignored it then as I did not think I really needed Acceleration. Now, after messing around with my FSX program, it has reoccurred and will keep telling me my "trial period" is over, and shutting down. Is there any final, good way to solve this problem ??? I have not tried contacting Microsoft, as I understand they do not support FSX any more. I could uninstall and reinstall the program, but would like to find some simpler way to fix this. Thanks for any help.
