Hi All: Does anyone know of a utility out there that will read my lengthy add on scenery file and give me a graphic display of where all the airports are? I have done a reasonable, but not great, job of grouping them by state but I would like to have a quick look at where I have airports for flight planning and debugging scenery issues. Thanks

I've downloaded the 1.014 update, but I'm not certain how to apply it to my FSX installation. Do I uninstall the current 1.013 version first, or do I simply execute the 1.014 update over my current FSX install? Once I've updated, I believe that I could install to my Prepare3D that I have running on the same computer. Is that so???

I'm trying to get back into flying, and nearly have everything installed that I want this go around. My problem is essentially what I described, I use Orbx sceneries, and that may be part of the issue, I have the last update I downloaded, which is apparently not the last update available. Is there something else going on here? FSX never took this long to load ground textures while in the air before. I took a quick jaunt around LIRA, if that helps. I was testing out the OpenLC/Global.

When flying the RealAir Legacy, ATC refers to it as type "blank". By that I mean that ATC says nothing after type. Is there a code that can be added to the .cfg file that will cause ATC to refer to the aircraft as either Lancair or Legacy without the use of Editvoicepack? If not will EditVoicepack correct the problem without my having to create something manually?

Hello Krosswynd, and Majestic, Since, I think version 1.002 while using FSX, I have suffered an issue with the MJC Q400, concerning sound. It is not the same issue as other people report (full loss of sound), so please take a look ;- The aircraft intiates fine and I have sound; no problems. I can use ATC windows etc, and don't lose sound (as some did); no problems. If my flight is very short (<20mins), I can land, shut down, and have no sound problems. However, anything longer than 20 mins, and the sound freezes, usually when on approach. By 'freezes' I mean that the sim still runs fine (it's not a full 'hang' or lock up), just that the RPM of the engines 'fr…

Just started to try and do these approaches and have a few questions. I set up for the approach, say I am doing a Vor DME, I go to the FMC arrivals and select the required VOR DME approach, my radios are tuned and both courses set to the VOR inbound course. The deviation pointers LNAV AND VNAV are there as I approach in to the final approach fix I still see no Approach Reference being annunciated on the PFD (white writing on the top left which i am expecting) but It says only LOC/VNAV in white, not runway information/course and distance to MAP as it should before hitting APP...wondering how to get it to show me this before i press APP (approach) because as soon as I do …

G'day all I have Pilatus Porter files purchased from FSD and can use them on here, the online PC. I have put a copy of FSX on here, purely to prove I have the files and they work. When I try to transfer them to my Offline FSX ONLY PC I am told it is an illegal copy. I generally don't have any issues, having a number of aircraft in 'Simobjects' from several software labels, using both downloaded and CD based material. I have tried to get FSD to explain but they say read the manual. I am not trying to avoid paying. They do not post CD,s outside the US or I would have bought one. I want to either be able to use it on the FSX PC and delete the online PC files, or if not just…

All the airports I had downloaded UK2000 for are missing. The airport building and even the tracks on the runway are missing. I had them before but when I downloaded the EGKK UK2000 I must've done something wrong.

I have been using FSX ("box" edition) for a few years now. I've added FS Global 2010 mesh (19 GB), SceneryTech landclass (60 MB), FTX Global textures and FTX Global Vector vectors (13 GB), as well as a few add-on airports (a few I made myself, a few freeware offerrings, and Aerosoft's Approaching Innsbruck and US Cities X - San Francisco; 1.6 GB). I have recently installed FTX Steam Edition (62608), primarily because of the reported performance increases. Hi, guys: I just transferred FSX to a new, dedicated SSD. Consequently, I went into FSI Server configuration to change the installation folder from C:\FSX to E:\FSX. When I exit the configuration page, I got the message, "Configuration Details Changed. . .", so I figured all had gone well and then exited FSI and restarted. However, when I went back to check, FSI configuration still showed C:\FSX. It did not save the change that I made. I tried this several times, both using the browse button and manually entering the new location, but neither method worked. I also tried it in FX Opus. It made and saved the change with no problem. I understand about prioirty and that if you have multiple AFCADs for the same airport then the the one with highest priority wins. What I'm curious about is the "degree". I have the FSX default airport (KDPA) and KDPA as supplied by MyTraffic. The MyTraffic AFCAD provides parking only. No buildings, etc. The FSX default provides both buildings and parking. So, I'm thinking that the MyTraffic AFCAD simply "overlays" the default airport and adds the additional parking, etc. My question then becomes; If there were a third KDPA AFCAD, with a highter priorty than MyTraffic, which added cars, or static aircarft in positions that neither MyTraffic or FSX used, t…

I end up hitting 'Control C' on half my flights in this aircraft when ASN weather includes clouds. It is the only aircraft I fly that cuts my frame rates in half with ASN. Is it poor optimization by Aerosoft or something else? I have trimmed back settings in ASN which does not help. I would like to fly it in other than clear skies but not that does not appear achievable. Bob

Back in FS2004, there is a gauge called ATN, which allow me to use arrow keys on the keyboard to steer the aircraft during pushback. (Also, allow me to tow the aircraft too!) Is there any equivalent to this? Regards, Sarun Intaralawan

I have a copy of Caranado's Malibu Mirage that I bought some time ago, and it is zipped, and I need to reinstall it. My problem is I try to unzip it and it asks for a password? I looked in the zipped file, it contains nothing. I got it from FS Pilot shop, and am wondering who do I contact about this? I've downloaded it again from FS Pilot shop with the same result.

Hi all. Just saw a video of a pmdg 747 startup manual and saw that this person was using some kind of switch toolbar to switch between views and panels. I`ve googled some time now, but am unable to find out what the menu switcher bar is called. It`s displayed in : It`s just beneath the fsx menu bar, and it has shortcuts to capt f/o fmc thr eicas misc. Does anybody know where you can buy, or download this and what the name is ? Hi Stephen, I moved P3D cam file from old computer to the new one. Created a default view for the plane but the P3D cam file will not work. How do I get the old P3Dserver.cam from FSI to work in the FSI on the new computer? I also install the TrackIR and shortcut cams to. Thanks Reece

I would love some feedback and frame rate reports from others. I was getting 50 FPS in a moderately detailed Mooney with G1000 GPS support. I was around 30 in the big tube liners. I learned a lot while making this photoreal airport and I am eager to tackle my next one which is going to be much more of a challenge but I want to make sure I am on the right track. Any feedback will be appreciated and helpful.

Strange, I'm pretty sure this airport existed in FSX before.It's (BKK) – Suvarnabhumi Airport (New Bangkok International Airport) – Samut Prakan (near Bangkok). It's not showing up for me at all, anyone else? How to fix this.
