After yet another reinstall of Windows 7 and FSX/Acceleration plus all the additions I would like to know the easiest way to do this in the future. It took me 8 hours the last time, there must be an easier way. I have FSX/A on a dedicated drive so allways save it when I have to reinstall W7. Any advice on this will be welcome.

I can't start the engines without hitting control E. I am following the start up procedure but no luck. I removed and reinstalled but same problem.

I was wondering if anyone has bought this addon :- Looks pretty good, and of course there aren't many options for a 400M. I was specifically wondering how complex the autopilot was.... eg whether it has proper Speed (by adjusting pitch) control, or whether it's just using the default FSX autopilot, with V/S only.

Anyone know what is the process for exporting a route out of PFPX so that it can then be loaded into the Eaglesoft Citation X FMC? The flight plans that I have tried to export all seem to appear in XML format and not in the basic text format that the Citation X FMC seems to want. Any help would be appreciated Regards Colin

My god, it cant be real. PMDG 777, active sky next, flytampa copenhagen - 22-24 FPS? I didnt get more than 17-18 FPS with FSX boxed edition standing on rnw 04L looking at the FPS intensive terminal with both the PMDG 777 and Aerosoft A318/319, and that was with nerfed setting like autogen set to normal etc. Also, with the DX10 fixer installed, this scenario took about 2900-3000MB VAS. Now, just for fun, I cranked absolutely all settings + running with 3x DSR. The difference was night and day. Doesnt sound like much gain, but I agree with many, it just feels much smoother. Hello I absolutely love Night Environment British Isles - it has transformed flying over photo scenery for me. Could you tell me if it is possible to disable it for specific regions please? I am thinking mostly about the high detail areas made by Earth Simulations that I have: Isles of Scilly, Isle of Man, Alderney and Guernsey. ES provide a very nice night lighting for their areas and the lights from NE don't fit well with it. They don't appear to cause a ground effect and the amount of light glow effects seem too many for these areas. Hi Guys, I know this is a pretty old product, but as I was doing a bit of research on cloud shadows, I came across CumulusX, which apparently does just that, and more! Now I'm not a glider pilot, but I like the little effects that CumulusX promises to give. So, my questions for anyone who's used/using this product is; 1. How does this work with Active Sky Next? Does it still read the weather data from ASN but just inject it's own clouds in? 2. What happens to my REX Soft Clouds? Does CumulusX replace those? And if so, how are the textures on them? 3. How is it on FPS? 4. All in all, worth it or not? Cheers, Randev

The default Grumman Goose has an HD download. I downloaded it and when I open it, there is no sound. Do any of you have this problem, and if so, how do you fix it? Stan

what do you guys use to auto save your flights. I have been seeing a bunch of them out there. But do they work well with the Pmdg ngx and also saving the panel states? Thanks guys

I have FS Commander 9.6 for FSX. Aerosoft Airbus 318/319 for FSX requires flight plans in the FPL format. When I create a flight plan using FS Commander 9.6 for FSX, the plan is in the PLN format. When I load the plan in the MCDU of Aerosoft A318/319 I get the message NOT IN DATABASE. I know the plan is in the correct Flight Plan folder which is found in Windows 7 C:\user\my name\my documents\Aerosoft\Airbus\Flight Planss. In this folder are other flight plans created by Aerosoft PFPX, and these are all in the correct FPL format. However, the plan in this folder created by FC Commander is in the PLN format. How can I create a flight plan in the FPL…

I'm looking for a Embraer Phenom VLJ for FSX. The Carenado version of this aircraft looks nice but it does not have a working FLC (Flight Level Change)mode (it has an FLC button on the autopilot but it functions like an autothrottle-not realistic) nor does it utilize FADEC, which the real Phenom does. I was looking at the Wilco Feelthere version of this aircraft and IT DOES have a working FADEC system. But I could not find any information as to whether or not it has a functioning FLC mode. Can anyone who has this aircraft advise if it does have a realistic FLC mode and otherwise, what your opinion is regarding this aircraft. Thanks very much for any infor…

Can anyone suggest a fix for this problem? I am running FSX on a Windows 7 pc. Everything was fine, but now the "Zoom In" ( = ) control function has stopped working; doesn't do anything. "Zoom Out" ( - ) continues to work. Similarly, the "Backspace" function is working fine, returning the view to the base position. I have searched various strings and tried fixes; Backspace key (to "reset"); "Ctrl and =" keys; "spacebar" (again to reset), but no change. Finally, I have looked in the fsx.cfg file but can't see anything obvious that might be causing the problem -- but I don't really know what to look for. Any advice? Thank you, Brian

Im trying the free demo of FSGRW. I have a question: how i set the weather in small airports if these arent listed ? For example if im doing bush flying over idaho, is there a way to get a generic weather of the area? Thanks!

Trying to use the FSX Beech Baron G58 (Steam/Windows 8.1): how can I set the MFD map to North Up?

Even while flying over small lakes, I see waves crashing on the bank of the lake. They are very pronounced and fast. I have REX 4 and Overdrive and am wondering if there's something I can do to minimize the effect and make it more realistic ?

After installing version 2.1 of Flight 1's Ultimate Terrain X USA, FSX goes black after a few minutes. The program is still running except the screen is completely black. It doesn't freeze my computer and I can just escape out of it. First time ever for this type of error. Version 2.0 didn't have this problem and was just curious if any one here had the same thing happen after installing version 2.1. Thanks, jime

I am wondering if when a service pack is released or a version update do I need to download each one or the most recent? Will the most recent have updates from the previous. EX: FS2crew PMDG 777 v1.3 now there is a 1.4. Would it be okay to just do the 1.4 update?

Hi All, Had an interesting flight last night, luckily it was virtual of would have been front page news today LOL. My Flight was the return leg from LEBL Barcelona to EGGD Bristol. I was flying high level airways at FL340. About 10 miles from TOD as I could not get EDDG ATIS on my radio I looked at the map and saw the wind was in a SW direction. Based on this I input on my MCD ILS9 as my landing runway and as my flightplan star was Berryhead, I input BRI2D as my Approach via BRI. Checked everything was correct. I was Flying Managed Speed, and Managed Altitude so at TOD I selected 1800 into my Altitude (My Final Height to Intecept ILS) and clicked for a man…

Hi All, I currently use a Phenom 100 as my personal FSX transport to go with my work Airbus and Avro's, but I want "something for the weekend". I want something 2 seater and very fast, but not military. Basically a Ferrari for the Sky's What's my options? regards

I gotta say that since the release of the A320 Extended it has become my favorite airplane and this is coming from a Boeing guy who also pegs himself as a "hardcore simmer"! Even having the PMDG NGX and the LDS 767, I'm simply loving the A320! I love the fact the the Aerosoft's rendition of the Bus is totally foreign to us Boeing guys. The depth of the simulation is enough that it must be flown like an Airbus and not a Boeing. Also the depth of the FBW system makes the A320 a joy to fly with a joystick (gasp - my poor yoke is feeling pretty neglected). I'm amazed how the A320 is "managed" and "programmed" rather than it is "flown" as opposed to the Boeings which m…

I really enjoy the Aerosoft Beaver,but when alongside other planes it is much larger.I put the Cessna 182,Beech Baron,Spartan exec etc in the same location and they look the proper size.Is this normal or am I hallucinating?Thanks,Ron
