From my observations ZoomOut (~0.38 usually)/WideViewAspect=False give some better FPS compared to WideViewAspect=True (ZoomOut ~0.75) What are your observations and thoughts on this setting? Thanks, Dirk

Hi, This is a first for me after doing this for 110 years. OK the problem is if I try to change airplanes from the default FSX freezes. Have to use task manager to get out. The only thing I have done I uninstalled VoxAtc Help please. Ken.

Hi, Just uninstall my old FSX with PMDG 777, and decided to buy the FSX-SE, downloaded and installed completely, the FSX is working well, after running FSX-SE I installed the PMDG 777-200 with the new package from my account in PMDG. There is a note to download the 777-300 but I can not find a button to start download the note says I need to download the PMDG eCommerce again, just did it and still I have no access to the new 777-300 expansion. My actual version in the Operations Center is: PMDG 777 - FSX:SE v.1.14 Any help is much appreciated.

Just recently started having a problem with the pop-up window of the RXP GNS 430/530. For some reason, it's completely blank/see through when using the pop-up window. Also, the RXP mounted in the panel is black and won't turn on. I don't believe this is an RXP problem because it happens with the SimFlyer KLN 94 pop-up as well that I've installed in some aircraft. And when using any Carenado airplanes that use the G500, the PFD softkeys are unresponsive. It was working fine a few weeks ago and I've installed a number of add-on's since so it's not easy figuring out what caused it. Is there a known issue with pop-ups that I don't know about and how can I fix this?

Does anyone know why the PMDG 747 with PrecipitFX installed is still showing the default contrails. The -800 model is showing the nice ones but not the 400. I've reinstalled tons of times but it does not fix the issue. Any ideas? Thanks everyone! John V

I would apprecaite hearing inputs on the accuracy of the default CRJ-700 flight model, especially from any FSXers who happen to have real world CRJ-700 expereince. Is the handling realistic, and if not, what seems to be the major areas of discrepency? I know there is a POSky CRJ-700, and a Wilco CRJ-700, but just don't have the RW expereince to evaluate the flight accuracy of any of these a/c. For me, aircraft "realism", such a provided by PMDG, A2A, and others, is an important part of the flight sim experience. Thx, Al

Let me preface this post with - I love this product and its visuals. I put it in order of importance right up there with ASN and EZCA for enhancements. I spent a couple frustrating nights trying to figure out why FSX was stuttering and 7 - 10 FPS slower than usual during the day. I said "day" because I eventually found the culprit, I had forgotten to turn off NE California (I turn it off because I am wasn't sure it created problems during the day) and when I flew out of LAX at 16:00 hrs I couldn't believe the hit. As soon as I disabled NE, everything was back to normal. I don't even get that kind of hit when using NE at night. I thought NE doesn't come on during the …

I know this is an old problem that for many users is now a dead issue but being new to FSX I'm struggling with it. I am using World of AI for my AI and in most cases the models work fine. But props appear as black discs. There are hundreds of posts and threads on various sites addressing this issue but that's the problem - there are so many! Wading through them all and following links that in many cases are now dead is really frustrating. I would be grateful for any help in resolving this - including a payware program if it will do the necessary conversions. I am currently looking at getting a high end system, however for the moment I am stuck with a HP Laptop, but FSX seems to run okay providing I don't have too many third party programs running. I have REX Essential Plus OverDrive and wondered what the FPS impact is likely to be, say with the PMDG 777 and no third party scenery?

Hi guys, i get a bit bored of aircraft, i want to try helicopters. I know that the FSX FDE are crap, but i already have the Hovercontrol module. I want to know which freeware helicopter is the best. I want something civilian, like a B206 or the R-22 (with better graphics and more working buttons than the stock FSX). I came across the Eaglesoft ones, but if there is something better... I dont want to invest in payware, like the dodosim or milviz, as i don't have rudder pedals yet :( i use my keyboard Regards

Hello, I am looking for a GA single piston FSX aircraft to practice my IFR and medium / long cross country flights. So far I used Carenado Bonanza F33A with Reality XP gauges FLT, FLN and GNS 430. Very nice, indeed. Now I see that A2A came out with a beautiful simulation of Cessna 182. I know it is a bit slower than the Bonanza and does not have retractable gears (the two things are correlated, I believe...), but both are "complex" aircraft in the sense that have constant prop speed control. What is better, especially for IFR? I see that I could use my XP GNS 430 and an HSI on Cessna 182 as well, but I don't know how good is the autopilot Bendix King KAP 140 that …

In the upper right hand corner, I used to get window titles. They are not currently showing up. Did I accidentally turn them off, and how do I get them back. Also, when I apply the brakes (and other such commands), the title doesn't show in the lower right hand corner.

I have just tried "Reshade" (in FSX:SE DX9 mode), and although I am very impressed with the effects, it seems to have introduced excessive shimmering in the trees etc. I use Orbx HD trees, and have antialiasing 8x and Anisotropic 16x. Is there anyway to reduce this? Stuart

This is my take on a user who did a graph a few years back. He called it the Petraeus Index. Basically this graph shows the performance loss against the default C172 VC. All test were done with fresh reboots, FSX settings no AI traffic, no weather, daytime at noon, vsync disabled, unlimited FPS. Once the aircraft is loaded I spun around the cockpit once and made sure all the avionics were on, and also spun around the external view once. Mouse cursor moved off the screen as well. Tests are all done at KEDW Ry 4, sitting on the runway. It doesn't show FPS, but it could be used to determine what sort of FPS loss one might get if you paired up your addon vs your …
