Hi All, Have been out of the flight simming loop for quite some time now but the recent pick up and promising future ahead of the series, with FSX now re-invented on Steam, has made me rekindle my hobby and I've been re-installing a lot of my old add ons as well as treating myself to a few new ones over the past weeks. I find it quite remarkable just how much the level of detail and fidelity of these flight sim products has come in the last couple of years. I'm really enjoying the Defaul maule M7 as a STOL aircraft, specially the Ski version. But i wanted to know if there is a freeware/payware version of the Maule. Thanks

Hi All I have a weird issue that i heave searched all over for the answer for to no avail. I am mainly in the VC like most people seem to be, however when in mouse look mode (holding the space) the view always snaps back to the center view on the horizontal axis only, the vertical axis is behaving like normal. This is not the case when the game is paused, If i pause the game us use the mouse look mode, it works fine and stays panned to where i was looking. This should be the normal function as i understand, then hitting backspace would center your view I have checked my Cameras.cfg file, it seems correct concerning the Snap and Pan parameters of the config file.…

Hi Folks: As a recent convert to Steam ( which I do really like by the way), one thing I have noticed is a little green square box, about the size of an icon, in the top left hand corner of the screen . It is also on any other window I open, or the kneeboard etc. What is this little green box, and is there a way to get rid of it? - Roger

I have read that many people have had the same issue as me. I have saved a flight from PFPX and set it as my flight plan in fsx. When I go to put in the saved flight plan in the ES citation x, it finds nothing. I have read the manual and watched the videos but nothing. I would prefer not to input every waypoint in since it is a long flight. Can anybody help?

When flying into and out of large airports for an airline, say Air Canada, how does one know where his airline park? Is there a website where I can find this info for any airport? thanks Paul

Hey guys!I bought this amazing Mesh package. THe problem is that I tried using Prepar3d, and then I lost the scenery.cfg with the correct directions to the FS Global Scenery Folders. I can't find any of my installed addons inside both scenery.cfg files from FSX folder and the User/App/etc folder. I feel stupid, where can I find those? And can anyone with this Mesh installed PLEASE show me your scenery.cfg so that I can use mine without the need of the over 3 hour installation with 6 DVDs that it takes.Thank you guys!

Hi Chris and development team, Firstly congratulations on France V2. There certainly wont be people complaining its not configurable enough that's for sure. I'm eager as will others be, to match my existing regions with the latest version of NE. Im guessing this is going to take time as it wont be a case of just adding them to the new control panel. What will the update involve. Will it be a complete install or a patch as I guess if its all going into one folder and one scenery.cfg entry for each region a lot of file moving around will be required. Do you have a roll out plan and ideas of timescales. I know these are difficult questions and I don't expect …

Does some one knows if there is a tool to create transparent windows inside FSX? This is my idea: I'd like to display my aicrafts checklist (fs2crew voice control) over a transparent window (like default fsx atc) so I haven't to watch my A4 sheet with printed phrases/checklist. Having trackir is very noisy to watch at my desk, so I prefer to display checklist directly inside FSX. The only idea I got is to use PDF Kneeboard to display my A4 as pdf, but would be more confortable use a transparent window, any ideas? Many thanks in advance

Hi Chris and All, Im currently using Base Level + 0 + 2 in the earlier products. Can you recomend settings for a starting point for V2 which will be about the same result as the above. Im currently using sceneryconfigeditor to turn off NE in my earlier products. I see V2 has an on/off switch which will perform this task in future. Will V2 show up as a layer and if so we just ignore it and leave it switched on in the scenery layers and use the V2 control panel for the on/off setting. Is this correct. I guess as we upgrade each country we will just remove entry from sceneryconfigeditor and slowly move this on/off selection over to V2 config panel. Correct. T…

First, apologies if this has been answered before. I'm about 2/3 of the way into a martini and the vodka is kicking in. Recently I had FSX all dialed in when an unknown add-on nuked one of the DLLs associated with the C++ redistributable libraries. In the process of reinstalling those (2005, 2008 and 2013), my PMDG aircraft have subsequently taken a dump to which a reinstallation has not helped. I'm thinking at this point that I need to uninstall and reinstall FSX and all the associated add-ons, but don't want to go through the hassles of rebuilding all my configs. Short of backing up the fsx.cfg file to retain my UI settings, are there any other areas of concern I sh…

Since FSUIPC is, I assume, just the FSUIPC4.DLL and a folder created by the installer named Modules into which the FSUIPC4.DLL is placed and appropriate changes to the DLL.XML, can I manually install FSUIPC4 into FSX:SE? I am disregarding registry entries or anything else the installer does; Only interested in the FSUIPC4.DLL. I can enter my registration data once the sim loads the module. The reason I am asking this is because I installed steam into the root of my local drive and FSUIPC is unable to locate FSX:SE as a result.

I'm reading reviews on both versions of the Tri star ls1011 and I'm fairly undecided into which one to choose? I've heard the Jf's version also features a FMC is that case with Captain sims too? Overall any 1011 pilots have any thoughts on the aircraft?

First I should state what I already have. This is in my A2A hangar Piper Cherokee 180 C172 C182 Stratocruiser B377 Civ P51 Mustang (only civ) Spitfire I'm considering either the P47 or the P40. As important as features is also the personality of the plane. I want it to be different to what I already have in addition to good features and being an advanced simulation (plane). My impression so far is what speaks most for each plane The P40 Since it's the most recent released plane it can be expected to have most and best implemented features. Hey folks, not sure were to post this thread. I have a LUA script that Pete Dawson is assisting me on recently. Essentialy, I'm trying to limit my torque to a certain range on my throttle quadrant. When past that range, the power would increase normally. I've tried all of Pete's suggestions, nothing is working correctly. The throttle travel is not limited at all. I know Bob Scott is good with LUA. He wrote the dynamicfriction.lua Does he still get on the forum? If anyone can help, greatly appreciated. We can work via PM/Email if easier. Thanks for any help. I have been thinking about this quite a bit lately. Having been into flight simulation since the days of black and white, I've been around for a while. One aircraft that never seems to be developed to a high level is the ubiquitous Lear 35. Just curious how the aircraft that most people call every business jet, has been looked over? Am I the only one that pines for an A2A, or PMDG level Lear 35? Lionheart put out the Lear 24B, and it is nice. I really like flying it, but it only makes me want a 35 more. I am really curious what the community has to say. Let's hear your opinions.

When I see the waves crashing on the beach, they just don't look realistic. They're coming in too fast and too pronounced. I even see waves on smaller bodies of water. I have both Overdrive and REX 4. Is there a way to fix this ? Thanks

Hi Can anyone comment about new release of A320 from Aerosoft? Is it worth to upgrade from extended? I used the aircraft in conjucton with fs2crew. are the new features justifying 20 euro extra or is it just repackage with small add ons and it's better to invest in some other plane? I fly 737 ngx from PMDG but sometimes I want to try fbw system. 777 is not for me, 1. It's expensive with fs2crew 2. I prefer 2-3 hour flights

Despite being a simmer for many years, this is a real *newb* question :smile: I saw a FS video today where someone was using FSX's built in ATC ATIS - but there was sound only, no annoying green text info bar, running along the top of the screen. I looked in the FSX "General" options but couldn't find an option that gets rid of the info bar... is it done via the FSX.CFG, and can anyone tell me how it's removed? Thanks in advance.

I am trying to run CrgSim to allow me to display a PFD and other instruments on a monitor run by a computer networked to the computer that's running FSX. Do any simmers here have experience with the software? I'm having trouble getting the PFD to display. I have an email in to the developers, but I'm asking here as it may be a simple, common problem that others have already dealt with.

I recently bought the A2A Piper Cherokee and am still getting use to how realistic it feels to fly. No doubt I'll need practice. One thing I can't seem to understand, which someone hopefully can explain, is that on take off and initial climb, the plane always want to roll left regardless of the wind direction, even in calm winds. I find myself wrestling with the yoke to keep it level. Is this realistic for this plane? What's the proper procedure then? era

I am currently using Pro Flight Emulator but I am looking for something a bit more realistic and I have narrowed it down to either Pro Atc X or Radar Contact. I am wondering if I could have some help in being able to choose the right one. I mainly fly the PMDG 737 but I am just looking for a bit more realism with good quality ATC chatter. I am looking into a payware Learjet. I have looked into the Lionheart Learjet. It looks like a nice aircraft. I don't really care for the end of the wings, but I could look past that if there is nothing better out there. Any suggestions?
