Hey guys! I have bought an FSX:SE quite ago, but I haven't yet decided to make a full transfer. So I am still using FSX boxed edition while my FSX:SE waits in my Steam library. And my question is... is it worth transferring yet? Or do you recommend me to wait a little longer? I know that there is some performence increase and overally it is better. However... what is holding me back is Addon compatibility. I know that many addons has their compatibility now... but not all of them. FTX Global or AES for example. When talking about performance... it can be better but I am not suffering from a really low FPS, because I have built PC just for FSX. Therefore I am a…

Good Day, This is a topic which I have had no solution for awhile and noticed maybe why it is happening. I have trees growing in SABE airport. I also noticed it was not listed under the airport codes in FTX airport elevation utility. Could this be the problem? I have all my ORBX products in proper order but this add-on airport has trees as many others do. I have tried exclusion rectangles, Lumberjack, boundaries but to no avail..... Hello everyone! I recently got several GA planes from Carenado (Rockwell Commander, Beech Baron and Cessna 340). With all of those plane i get uncontrollable RPMs at higher altitudes. Means that RPM starts to rise at a certain Altitude (usually around FL100 to 150) and i am only able to change RPM via Manifold pressure settings. Searching the web i came across this forum http://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/threads/constant-speed-recip-uncontrollable-rpm-at-high-speed.325361/ but unfortunately the thread was not continued at some point... So maybe one of the tech-guys has found a solution for this? Best regards, Tom

Please could somebody link me to a tutorial on how to properly fly from Europe to the US and vice versa on FSX? I'm not really familiar with this and I'm aware these routes work differently to European ones.

Hello all. I have to admit, while I love flying all sorts of aircraft, I have always had a love for military heavy lift aircraft. I know years back there was a freeware AN225, but sadly it just is not up to par anymore. With that said, there are a few options out there for aircraft such as the C-5 and C-17, but who makes the best looking, most up to date bird out there? Would love to hear some feedback from current owners. Thanks.

Hello all, following problem I'm dealing with: I have a very nice Logitech USB headset that I want to use when flying, from doors closed until completing the shutdown checklist. Other than that, the sound should come out of the loudspeakers. Now I start FS with the headset unplugged and do the normal pre-flight flows. However, when I plug it in, I am unable to get sound through it despite changing the source in FSX tone menu and in the PMDG 737 sound menu (within the CDU). Only way I've found is to re-load the flight (not an option really). Any remedy to this? Thank you very much in advance.

Hello Pilots, So I installed Ice Traffic V5.0 and set traffic to 50% in FSX, but there is no traffic whatsoever. Anyone have experience with Ice Traffic?? I used to use WOAI which was great, but I wanted to try something else for a change. Any help would be greatly appreciated..thanks

Hello, This problem really bug's me. :mad: When the engines are on with any plane in FSX either in the cockpit or on external view after rolling to a full stop or while parked I notice a constant slight bouncy shaking of all background objects. The plane doesn't shake just the objects around the plane. The shaking is a little more pronounced the father away the objects are. After the engines are turned off everything stops shaking. It's nothing like the notorious plane bounce problem. This is more like an earthquake. Also I notice when the engines are running the plane very, very slowly leaches forward with the parking brake engaged. Does anyone know how to fix thes…

I want Reality-XP integration, and in their forums I think only the B55 has it? I am wondering what is your favorite of the 2 MilViz, the B55 or C310? I'd like a fast high quality twin. Thank you

Hi everyone. I got a small problem I hope someone might give me some ideas on. I am running REX Essentials plus overdrive with FSX. I have GTN750 installed. It doesn’t matter sometimes how long you are flying but tonight about 1.5 hours into the flight with the Carenado PC12, FSX minimized into the taskbar and nothing will happen. This usually happens with multi-leg flights. If I shut down FSX and start over again after every landing it doesn’t happen. I can go to the task bar and maximize or minimize REX but when I try to maximize FSX and fly again I get a message saying FSX is already running. The only option I have is to close all the programs. I haven't seen this posted anywhere, so apologise if it has and I missed it. It seems that FSX-SE is coming to a box near you. Sort of. Mad catz (Saitek) have announced that as part of a deal with dovetail to sell boxed versions of FSX-SE. There's no actual disc though. Instead as I've seen with a few other games recently, you get a serial key or download the sim from Steam. Either way, it's nice see fsx back on sale in boxed form, and regardless of how old the platform is, it could act as a gateway for a new generation of simmers, some of whom will look at other sims in the future. Hello, I'm having some minor issues with this addon and was wondering if anyone could help. First and most annoying problem: The altitude bug does not move. The numbers change but the bug remains fixed. Second: is it possible to display the % of power on the left side of the PFD? I have read through the documentation and followed it to the dot but still haveing issues. I have loaded the flight plan into the aircraft. Everything is set and once I reached 1000 ft I engaged the autopilot. I selected hit the alitude button, engaged NAV to follow the flight plan. It does not follow. I tried setting my VS to 1400ft and it climbs to like 4000ft. It is out of control. I tried setting the heading on the aircraft and and pressed the heading button and the aircraft does nothing but continues on the heading it is currently flying. I have been hand flying my flights which I shouldn't have to be doing. Anybody have any help they can share? This aircra…

I've noticed that since my PC is under my desk, that my wireless connection is affected easily by something as simple as putting my keyboard on my desk, or putting my joystick on my desk, or simply moving in the direction of wherever the wireless component of my PC happens to beam from, some things affect it greatly (keyboard/joystick) others just slightly (me sitting in front of the PC.) I can't move it from where it is, is there another alternative? I do not fly online, but I'd like to not have REX cut out on me every 30 minutes or so because there is "no connection."

Greetings.... Trying to edit an add-on airport to remove unwanted and inaccurate 3d scenery that I think is related to FTX I have downloaded ADE and find that I cant open up my add-on airport. I understand that by doing this I could modify the affected area to remove these pesky item that grow in the middle of the taxiways. Need help since the airport is my hometown International airport that I do my flight training with.. both sim and real... Thanks! Flyboy53

I am sure someone can assist me with an issue I have just come across. Usually when using FSX I can click on panels and undock them to another display. Recently after installing the aero soft A320/321 extended I lost the ability to do this! I can still undock the panel or gauge, in my case the FMC but now when undocked it displays a view of the cockpit rather than the FMC I want? I have unloaded the A320 and repaired FSX Gold and then reinstalled FSX Accelleration. So far this has not fixed my issue so I am asking my fellow FSX simmers if you have had this issue and how to fix it? Intercepting the localiser on ILS runway approach. With correct Nav1 set and at designated approach altitude the aircraft intercepts at the localiser but immediately veers off the approach track. So far as I can see indications in the autopilot screen are as they should be. This only occurs in the A2Akylane and not the bog standard C182. I have a printout of the relevant sections for the KAP 140 TWO AXIS Autopilot instrument which I believe is that featured in the A2A C182 AIRCRAFT. A manual approach is all ok! I have noticed recently that, while getting really good frame rates on the ground and up to about 17000 feet, including detailed payware scenery like Copenhagen (typically 20+ FPS and smooth) as soon as I hit the threshold of about 17000 feet my FPS drops dramatically to 9 or 10 from inside and outside views which is reversible upon descending below 17000 feet? Any ideas welcome as I am not sure where to go after trying disabling ASN, Ultimate Traffic 2, changing aircraft type all with no impact on this. Since both of the JF Tristar pro and cs L-1011 are on a same price now, I'm simply confused about which one to get. As a new release I 've never doubt about the level of simulation of the JF Pro version, but so do captainsim. For the captainsim one we know they've always got a problem of unmodified super fast engine start problem which shouldn't be there on the just flight Tristar as they mentioned about customized engine start in the description. But for the cs L1011 they've used CIVA INS as always and which is the best INS simulation as we know, JF also seems to have completely simulated the INS according to description but it shouldn't be as complete as CIVA right ? …
