Hi all... I'll start by saying that I'm very familiar with the Vnav function on the Q400... not just in the Majestic version, but in real life too... It's my day job With that said, I'm having an issue with VNAV during approaches. Doesn't matter if I use a RNAV LPV approach, or a RNP approach... I set up both FMS to the apporach, enter it through the IAF, I have the field elevation set in the alerter with no ALT SEL, flying in NAV mode with FMS set as nav source... All as it should be. I even see the correct sequence of altitudes in the flight plan, all correct as per the IAP. Now for the issue... As soon as I hit the IAF, my vertical guidance becomes "PITCH …

Every time I try to make an ILS landing, at the last part of the approach, when AP is already turned off for landing, the Pitch Hold turns on and I cant decent any further. The aircraft levels off and keeps flying straight on. I cant find how to turn the Pitch Hold off and this prevents me from landing. I read about this being a known problem, but that are old posts, from 2 years ago, about version 1.07, so I expect this problem should have been solved by now. Can it be I'm doing something wrong, or is it something I can fix in an ini or cfg file? I'd appreciate some help with this.

I just made a flight from EKAH to ENZV and during the RIVEX1T STAR I first got problems with my left engine, I got a #1PEC caution warning and the left engine power started to jump up and fall down. When, after a few minutes, the engine power stabilized again the prop RPM was still about 200RPM too high, at the top of the yellow arc, but the aircraft seemed to fly properly. Up until ZV732 descent seemed to go as planned and the aircraft went down to 7000ft, but when it had to descent to 3000ft for ZV731, the aircraft dived down with 4000ft/min and didnt pull up to level off at 3000ft with a Pitch Hold on the MFD and dived straight into the ground. Hi. I have an issue with my taxiways, as you can notice it on the pic below. When I'm quite far, they appear brown. They go grey when approaching and it does the same with high clouds, which are looking blue from the ground but normal once I'm getting near them. I'm not sure where this comes from, I'm currently using REX and DX10 preview is enabled, just as usual before. Tried to repair FSX but it done nothing, I would be really happy to fix this without having to reinstall FSX. Thanks for any help.

hello, i just got myselfe the Aerosoft Airbus X A320 and the A321. but after installing it i got some problems with the autopilot panel. and BARO panel. they are black as shown in the picture ( http://imgur.com/F7omRzK ). also the right MCDU is black (not grayed out). but i can still click on it. really like this plane and would like to fly it. does anyone know what the problem is with it? thank you Teodor Porojnicu

I recently had to reinstall FSX and now have a problem with the Saitek throttle quadrant (3 lever). I'm finding that even after ensuring max sensitivity and zero null zone in the settings, there's no 'graduation' between nil power and full power. It's "all or nothing". I've tested the quadrant successfully (i.e. on calibration screen, bar goes up and down correctly and stays in the mid position when the actual lever is in the mid position etc.). I also have the CH Flightsim yoke set up and when I set the lever on the yoke to be 'throttle' (and disable the Saitek), the 'graduation' between no power and full power (and everything inbetween) works fine. Hi there! I recently un- and reinstalled my complete FSX. I only installed the addons I really use, and my FSX.cfg only contains the HIGHMEMFIX=1 and the AFFINITYMASK tweaks. I never had a faster booting, performing and better looking FSX! I also use it in DX9 mode. The performance is really great! With frames set to unlimited, I get a framerate of well above 30 most of the time, with drops down to low twenties at dense airport sceneries, Only at some airports and over cities like London (FTX Global, FTX Vector, FTX Open LC Europe and FTX Trees HD), my fps go down to 15-19. If i go to VIEWS and select a Instrument Panel and select a 737NGX panel like the Radio or overhead, but when i right click it to undock the panel it changes to a view! Basically its now like having 2 view windows open now

Hi guys can someone help me with this two aircrafts? - I own CS 757 (last installer 4.6, buyed as long time ago for FSX) but I can't understand if is it compatible with FSX:SE, I prefer to know if someone has already get it wotking before "harm" my FSX:SE installation. I only have Steam, no FSX boxed installed. - I was considering to buy also QW 757, does it woth it? Is it compatible with Steam? Is it a bit beter than CS? On the QW site seems to be compatible with FSX:SE, but under specs it's not reported. Again is this 757 less simulated that CS counterpart or are they equivalent? I own FSX Gold (FSX Deluxe + Acceleration) but wanted to install FSX on more PCs but can't find FSX Gold at a sensible price anywhere (not interested in FSX SE right now). Is FSX Acceleration required for modern addons or would FSX Deluxe + SP2 do just as good a job? I understand that the SDKs for SP2 and Acceleration are different.

Hello: Today I was flying to FQQL landing RWY 36. RWY 36 does not have an instrument approach and there are no STARs for the ARPT. After I attempt to enter FQQL as the arrival airport in the FMS on the menu page and select RWY 36, I select both “FPL” &/or “enter”. However, the FMS does not seem recognize the ARPT or the RWY unless there is an associated instrument approach or STAR. Am I doing something wrong? Also, from inside the airplane, is there a way to switch between QNH and inches on the altimeter? Thanks.

Hi, Has anyone had any experience adding the original Microsoft version of FSX to their Steam library. Does it clash with the Steam Edition? The reason I ask is because I've read that if you add a non-steam title to your Steam library you can still use the in-home streaming feature where you can play a game hosted on your PC on a different machine (like a laptop or tablet) over your home wifi. I've done this with Train simulator which is a Steam title, and it works extremely well. I'd like to have a go with FSX but don't fancy migrating everything to a fresh install of Steam Edition just yet!

Hi I just installed this little bird in FSX after a long while years without using it. (It never got installed on my newish PC) Its still a sweet little flyer with nice flying dynamics etc. It just has one serious letdown and that is the slightly darkish unclear VC glass texture. Its a petty because it makes the outside look dull and less interesting. I know that Lionheart has made clear glass textures for other AC like the Super Pacer, so I looked at the website and couldnt find anything there. So is there something I´m missing or is there just no clear glass option?

Hi pilots! I have 3 monitors and using Surround view. My problem was that in virtual cockpit the instruments was very big and I needed to zoom out. The FSX let me unzoom to 0.30 but was not enaugh. I try many things like WideViewAspect=True in fsx.cfg but that disfigures the view. Then I get very lacky and I found a litle program that changing the zoom. I'll tell you how this program working and hope you help me to find it again because after a format on my PC I lost it (how stupid I am???). So first openning the FSX and the view of virtual cockpit. Anyone can share experience flying B17 ? What kind of experience is to switch from "magenta liners" to 2WW beast ? Is it fps heavy ?
