I've been having great results after installing FSDT CYVR in FSX and P3D v2.x until recently... P3D works fine, with no issues at all. However, in FSX, I am getting such transparent issues: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/7596209/FSX%20Glitch.png I have the highmemfix = 1 in my config and have restarted my PC over and over - it just does not load! Any suggestions?

Have FSGlobal and Orbx Australia amongst my add-ons. Installed the new FlyTampa Sydney airport. However when I fly in or out in the surrounding Orbx scenery I am getting square/rectangular patches of black and blue textures which can take more than a couple minute before they disappear. If If disable Sydney this problem does not show. Never had this before with FlyTampa. Posted a message with photo's on the FlyTampa forum, this was the reply. I know there have been many posts however, I am not interested in something as in depth as the A2A products right now. I usually fly pmdg NGX and Turbine Duke but I want something to fly around low and slow that I can just jump in do a quick checklist, start and depart. I'd fly it in regions like Pacific Northwest and Tennessee/North Carolina Appalachians and maybe SoCal. I want something quicker than a C172 I believe maybe a C182, C206, C210, but not too quick to where I can't enjoy the scenery. I am eyeing Carenado aircraft but I am not sure if it would be better to stick with the Prepar3d default Carenado Bonanza, Lionheart Mooney Acclaim, or if there is a be…

I recently installed this freeware addon. I have Orbx Global with underlying FS Genesis Mesh. I have an elevated airport and objects. Can someone please advise me on the easiest fix to bring the elevation back to ground level? cheers Bryan

My new PC will have 2, maybe 3 hard drives (depending on the condition of one), a couple with the size to easily handle FSX and all of it's addons that I have, and my question is, should I give FSX it's own drive? What would be the most efficient way of handling FSX on a brand new PC?

Hi, I recently started flying jet fighters and helicopters, in addition to airliners in fsx and cannot find the right buttons for the afterburner on the fighter jets. I've tried shift+4, shift+4+I and no luck. I know the aircraft have to have the afterburner effect file. At least one of them has it but it just does not work. Also, can the effects file be transferred to some other fighter jet? Even Concord has an afterburner. Some help here? I take this opportunity to once again, underline the greatness of FSX. All types of planes, boats, aircraft carriers, futuristic planes, scenery, airports, bombs, spacecraft, etc, etc. Thanks in advance. john

hello people i have a weird problem with my airbus x extended and dx10 scenery fixer. when i check " HD Jet Shadows "in dx10 scenery fixer i have great shadows in Virtual cockpit and it's great but when i pass to wing view i don't see shadow of the aircraft :( and when i uncheck " HD Jet Shadows " i have bad shadow ( pixelated shadow) in Virtual cockpit and i have my shadow on wing view. I recently heard about a new freeware AI traffic addon, ### AI Traffic, and I decided to give it a try. I was using World of AI, but it was starting to show its age. So as usual, I tried to uninstall WOA. They recommended to delete airlines one by one. Unfortunately I had installed many airlines, and did not have the time, so I clicked the 'Remove WOAI packages' button. I did make a backup of the files, just in case. After the uninstall, I fired up FSX to see if the uninstall worked. I have seen videos like this where you get this texture conversion tool and it increases fps by 300% my CPU is already have a below system requirements CPU (its 1.8ghz Lord knows how fsx can work on it) with the frame rate limiter to 25, I am trying to get it to 30 will this program help my CPU use less and better frames?

Hi, I cannot get Voice Commands to work with FSFS. I have been in the forum with FSFS support, and they have tried to help with this issue. However, they could not rssolve the problem. Can not figure out why Voice Command is not working for me when it so obviously works on so many other systems. I just hate to give it up, cause I would really like to have this work. Hey everyone, I'm looking for current feedback on this aircraft. The cockpit looks great in the screenshots but I imagine it's not on par with A2A (understandably)... That in itself is no big deal, as I'm looking to simulate a RW aircraft I'll be checking out in soon, though the RW aircraft is actually an Arrow II. (I realize there are handling differences and this is primarily in interest of having a similar layout in a complex aircraft with a 430.) Hello! When i installed EFB on my computer, and tried to import a flightplan from pfpx, it said it couldn't find ICAO code in FSX. What can i do? Do i need to fix the folders within EFB, or something else? I have the fsx-steam edition..

I've been thinking about this for a while. There are some airplanes that I really do think could be made (even) better. I put planes into the survey based on what I hear most talked about or that get at least some screenshots. I'm sure there are many more but these are the ones that keep turning up. (Note that I left out airplanes that are currently developing a version 2 such as those nice looking Eaglesoft birds.) Carenado, obviously, appears in the survey a lot since they are talked about a lot, appear in screenshots a lot and crank out airplanes faster than my kids eat ice cream. Who knows, maybe, by some miracle, we'll see one or two. Gregg

I posted this in the wrong place (Tips) and can't edit or delete so I'll post it here. I just got the Quest Kodiak. Great plane ,but I have the 'rocket' effect on startup with both the land and the water model . Parking brakes are on (except water); I have tried setting the prop to 0, fuel to 30%. I tried setting the beta min to 0.5. When I fire up the turbine, away she goes. I have to hit F2 and the brakes to stop. By then I'm either half way down the runway, crashed into a building or beached. Sometimes when I hit F2 it will flip backwards and crash. Any other ideas to get this stallion calmed down? I don't have any starting problems with any other turbin…

Hi all, does anyone know the file location of AFX or equivalent files for default airports? I have installed Aerosoft's La Palma airport scenery but cannot get AI traffic to appear. The manual says this is probably due to duplicate AFX files and says to remove any others including defaults ones. Iain Smith
