Could someone please tell me what I should have in these two files found in App Data/ Microsoft/ FSX/ In the EXE.xml I have a couple of entries but in the DLL.xml I have quite a list.The reason I ask is that when I try to install certain programs (the latest being IVAP) I get an error which informs me of a problem in this area.From what I have read elsewhere it would seem that the problem may have arisen from an install of ASE. Prepar3d v2.5 is running fine. Opus ( not FSI ) is gving me an error message when I start it up : System.TypeInitializationEcxeption System.IO.FileNotFoundException Exception : HRESULT : 0x8007007E Can you help me ? Thanks

I am wondering how long it takes to get to fly airliners. I would like to use the crew announcments etc.. but I am just starting so I have to fly little single prop GA aircraft which will take a long time to make substantial money. I am just curious to see how long it will take. Thanks

There was a discussion on these a few years back and some users (me included) posted almost (almost!) all of his airfiles because Alex' website is gone and the files are unretrievable now. I've just stumbled upon the entire collection neatly tucked away in an obscure archive on my hard drive. Has anyone experienced through the addition of add-ons a point in time where your FSX boot-up has significantly started to take longer? MY FSX start-up times have gone from about 1-2 minutes to 4 minutes and I can't figure out why.

I recently started using FsPassengers demo and I seem to have a problem with landing. I am not sure if it is caused by FsPassengers and I am unable to register on the FsPassengers forum because I keep getting a forbidden access on the server error so here I am. I am on approach with my A2A cherokee or C172. All is fine I am about 500 feet from the runway and then all of a sudden the plan just drops and starts turning left and right and nose up for no reason. I obviously crash every time because its almost like a glitch or lag because it becomes a robotic like movement. I have a Saitek yoke and I know its not the yoke itself because if flys just fine until that area. …

The default ATC in FSX not only controlled AI ground movement, holding at intersections, but overall, pretty decent ground control (in flight less to be desired). This is from a program released in 2006. So almost 10 years later after all the other add-ons to FSX why is there not a fully functional standalone ATC that I can find? I'm not interested in online programs that I have wait for someone on the other end. I already have RC4 and ProAtc. I like RC4 but no ground control and there are no future releases. ProAtc, is... well... good in concept but updates are too slow coming and are too buggy. Does anyone know of another ATC program that is not required to be online, …

I've checked all my settings, and there is nothing checked that refers to the ATC MENU popping up at startup. When I start FSX, the ATC MENU box pops up requesting a #1 or a #2 choice for tuning in the proper communication channel. How do I eliminate this window popping up at FSX startup? Stan

Hi, I'm having a problem in FSX currently. Everytime I try to fly, after about an hour or some time passed since I've departed, I have these random textures popping up as I pan around the cockpit and trhe outside view, and it basically blocks my view from anything else in the sim. I've tried researching this issue and have tried multiple solutions but none have worked. I am currently running DX10 with SteveFX's scenery fixer. I'm also running ORBX Global, Vector, FS Global 2010 mesh, along with most ORBX terrain regions. after installing kjfkv2 near the end of the install I received a message that my dll.xml and exe.xml are corrupt and it asks to correct it? why? is this a bug? my fsx before the kjfk install ran great with no errors.

My ssd with fsx boxed installed broke so I removed the ssd and added another ssd with a different drive letter and installed fsx steam on it. However I tried installing a few payware Taxi2Gate airports but it seems to be trying to find the ssd that I removed. Upon installation the folder to install always comes up as the one I removed which was the broken ssd. I change it to the fsx steam folder and procede then an error pops up about set up was unable to create the directory M:\FSX which is the the ssd I removed. I deleted all my fsx files from pc prior to installing steam but Im lost on this one.Any help is appreciated.

When I'm in the cockpit , I barely move my head and the view changes quickly. I'm using the TrackHat and FaceTracknoir and if I move the hat about two inches I'm looking behind me. The way it's set up now I know I will get airsick. My smoothing is turn way down to number 1. Everything else seems to be ok.

I Use OpenClouds for weather, and i got 13 days remaining, when the program its opening, i got a message who tells: "THE SERVER COMMITED A PROTOCOL VIOLATION. SECTION=RESPONSE HEADER DETAIL=CR MUST BE FOLLOWED BY LF". after that: "SYSTEM.INDEXOUTOFRANGEEXCEPTION: INDEX WAS OUTSIDE THE BOUNDS OF THE ARRAY. The water is no longer blue. :( It appears brown as though flying over sand. Have tried deleting add on scenery to no avail. Any suggestions as to how to recover ? Thanks

How do you determine the most efficient star based on where you are going for example I'm heading to lax From the east and I want to know which star to take? Is there a map or anything? Also how do I know how to choose appropriate SIDS?

I'm new to this software, and I like it! But I wondered what people were doing with it? I have a ground up, rookie pilot in a start-up air taxi firm in the Caribbean, and I'm looking forward to qualifying for twin props and buying a Britten Norman Islander. I've also set up easyJet for my A321 flights around Europe. No economics with that one, just turn up and fly. I like to fly all over the world too, and I wonder if I could set up a global charter business, so I can fly C-130s for crisis relief, or Learjets on executive transport ... Howdy all. The Maddog has always been one of my personal favorites. I know there are a handful of products out there for us to choose from, so I wanted to ask here for advice. I am running FSX SE, and am admittedly spoiled with PMDG aircraft. So in your opinion, who has the best mix of visual and systems detail, that is compatable with FSX SE? Thanks guys.

Hi. I was happily fliying from Dublin to Paris tonight when I realized a pitch black line in the sky. Went to investigate but found nothing like it on the web. I've already replaced the sky textures, cleaned the shaders cache and restored fsx.cfg but it didn't work out. Funny thing is that when I enable DirectX 10 it fades a little, allowing me to see the sky behind it. Any help would be extremely appreciated.

Hello I am having this trouble since today. I always fly on window mode and I always minimize the FSX when I want to do other things, but today something got crazy on my FSX because I minimize the FSX window and I cannot open it again Regards Ivan
