I'm starting to collect all of the UKSCENERY AIRPORTS but worried i'll get that OOM? Will this happen even if i'm not near those airports? I use the 737 NGX ASN UTX REX4D

I've spent the last few months playing around with VSync on my FSX. I noticed I get much better performance with Vsync disabled. Everything is so much smoother. The tearing is not bad at all. I notice it the most when panning. When just looking straight ahead or sideways, the tearing is very minimal. Did Aces disable Vsync in Acceleration for performance gain? I'm thinking about just leaving Vsync off. Anybody else fly this way? I'm in DX10, but I noticed the same thing in DX9.

Never noticed them before but there are literally hundreds of .agn files in my doc folder. Can I delete them without consequence? I understand they are supposedly "autogen" files. I am using ORBX Global and FSDT. Would appreciate more information. Jeff Even Rocklin, CA, USA

I just downloaded ver 6.3.1 of this but I cannot register it as the authors web page is no longer there. Does anyone know if this is freeware? Tks John

I have FS Global Ultimate installed for Prepar3d. So, it is sitting on the Harddrive and i want to add it to FSX:SE Pilot`s announced a SE installer is coming but in the meantime it should be possible to manually add the existing files. What is the correct way to add it to the Scenery Library manually? Didnt work when i try. Thanks!

Sometimes it really doesn't start. THIS JUST HAPPENED SINCE YESTERDAY. EVERYTHING WAS FINE BEFORE THAT. I downloaded and installed the A2A upgrades, and really nothing else. What I do notice is this? If I start Task Manager, I see a process running called Microsoft Flight Simulator Security Warning. When I delete that from Task Manager, FSX starts right up. HOW DO I STOP THAT SECURITY WARNING FROM RUNNING. I cannot even do a restore that works from the past. Only today's restore works. Please help.....I know one of you knows how to fix this. Stan

Why did my logbook stop logging my flights? I installed FSX and all the entries were made for about the first ten flights. Now they have stopped being logged. I don't see any way to manually start, or stop, FSX from entering flights. Bob

I would like to move the cockpit graphics from my main screens and place them on a separate screen. The idea is that my three main screens will only display scenery in Nvidia surround (I use surround now but the cockpit is displayed on those screens), and the fourth screen will have the instrument panel. I have seen that this is possible, but I don't know how to do it. Is it possible to undock the instrument panel on let's say the base 737 move it around? I have all the equipment in place, and I can click on the PFD, MFD, and EICAS and drag them, but what if I want the entire panel? I am looking for a reliable, if necessary 'paid', service to install and setup FSX. I have, what was a hi-spec PC, bought a year ago primarily to run FSX. But have always had little problems with the set-up. Now at almost every turn I find FSX goes wrong or crashes and I am getting very frustrated. I have tried the 'instant fix' apps and also run through a couple of comprehensive set-up procedures (and re-installed 3 times!). But still I have some basic problems and as I say almost every time I try to run it something goes wrong! Its not mine but its good viewing and apart from the VAS testing its interesting to see how the steam overlay acts as a chart viewer as well, a nice solution for those with 1 screen

I hope it is me and not FSX, flying IFR in the PMDG 737 NGX, FSX ATC is behaving itself quite well. Then out of the blue it vectors me so far of course that; either I have to disconnect LNAV or am I suppose to make the change in the FMC. Would a kind soul please enlighten me as to the difference(s) between OpusFSX and OpusFSI.... I PM'ed Opus directly and they gave me the scoop before anyone could reply to this thread. (Talking about fast response time!) OpusFSI is the successor to OpusFSX. While you can still download the OpusFSX Flight1 wrapped program (and ostensibly purchase it too), this is primarily to support OpusFSX customers who need to reinstall their purchase. I currently own FSX Deluxe and have added SP1 and SP2. I usually fly civil aircraft and belong to several VA's. I have e ton of add on aircraft and scenery, along with ASN. Recently, I saw the VRS F18 Superbug and it intrigued me. I am thinking of joining a virtual navy organization with that aircraft. I want to be able to take off and land on carriers and do carrier ops. I saw on one of the military VA sites that you need FSX Acceleration to do this. I hope that this is the right forum for me to post this puzzling event. If not, someone, please set me straight. I have relatively few aircraft in Fsx but most are payware and would have complex panels etc to load. It takes me around 17 seconds to get the list of ac once I hit the "aircraft" menu item within Fsx. This may not seem like an unreasonable amount of time, I know but it seems to me that it used to be a matter of 3 or 4 seconds earlier and I suspected a newly installed aircraft may be the reason for this delay. Picked back up FSX on Steam after a long time away from FS9 I am looking to get into airliners something I never played with before mostly sticking with GA So there are a bunch of options available, I've heard I should start with an Airbus as its more forgiving to learn in. I see there is something called project airbus is this better than any of the others out there or should i go with one, not to concerned about the price vs free here just looking for the best choice. PMDG looks intimidating are there better solutions that can act as a trainer to PMDG on the dash 8 and 7x7 side of things?

Hi I'm trying to install the V2 Turbine Duke but I keep getting the same error regarding lack of internet connection. I've downloaded a new installer but this does not make a difference. Never purchased anything from Steam before, however considering purchasing FSX-SE after all the good reports it is receiving. Can anyone tell me if I make a purchase can I download the full install files (and save a copy for future install) or do I need to connect to Steam and install 'online'? Can anyone also advise what the size of the download is? Thanks Ian

Customer service is not dead!!!! :rolleyes: I have purchased many add ons for FSX some better than others but I want to give a shout out to the Reed and the team at REX. I have a had some issues with installing 2 products from them ( more my computer issues and not REX issue) both times the support was amazing. They always are quick to respond and never place blame on the buyer. They are very professional and really care that the install goes well.
