Recently I've been experiencing an issue with my Carenado and Microsoft C-172's where I suffer a loss of power and the Airspeed Indicator drops to zero, usually shortly after takeoff. Turning on the carb or pitot heat sometimes help. I'm a bit confused why this is happening because I don't have failures turned on and it just seems to have started occuring for no reason. Any thoughts as to what might be causing it? Thanks, Ernie

Hi, After an extended "layoff" after a major back op I restarted FSFX. At my age (80 this year) there are many cobwebs and I have to delve deep i a shallow pond (mind). My first long flight revealed a problem: my Simulator rate (R on the keyboard) isn't working. I tried deactivating an reactivating, even to a nother key, bur all in vain. Any ideas???

I'm back flying MSFX after an extensive layoff, mostly due to a major back op. I did pick up a problem, probably due to cobwebs in my upperstory. I can't engage higher simulator rates (Pressing R om my keyboard). I tried errasing and reapplying R and even allocating NUM + but to no avail. All other keyboard commands that I tried, worked perfectly. Can somebody please advise??

Probably another false alarm, but Norton halted the update process with Trojan.Gen2 find. How about rest of you, any alarms? I´ll wait until further information is available.

Just purchased the RealAir Turbine Duke V2. Any feedback on what to fit it with. Either the RPX guages or the GTN 750. Sounds like both do an amazing job. Does one do an overall better job than the other? Just want to see what the overall consensus is. I've read the last few posts regarding the release of the Duke in this forum with all sorts of feedback regarding the plane itself. Bert Pieke quotes "I would purchase the Flight1 GTN 750 just for this aircraft alone. You are not going to regret it." Got an email this morning from simMarket indicating that LatinVFR has released KSAN v1.2, but I can't seem to find any information on either simMarket or LatinVFR's site as to what was changed/fixed/etc. in this update. I'm sure I'm missing something obvious somewhere, but... anyone know? Scott

Hi All, I bought Orbx Global during the Xmas sale and saw my FPS drop to the single digits.. I was thinking of trying out the Steam version to see if it helps.. I thought reading a thread last week, I saw that FSDT needs to be deactivated prior to uninstall.. Are there other companies that also require Deactivation? Hello, I am running FSX with UT2 and Pro ATC X. As Pro ATC controls my flight, UT2 AI flights are controlled by default FSX ATC. Is there a way/software that would do it integrally? Thank you, JFV.

In Ezdok...Is there a quick way of exporting all of the cameras which appear in the PMDG NGX 737-800 into the NGX 737-700 PMDG? I used the EZCA Config.exe, but the cameras are not appearing in the 737-700? Also there is an update for Ezdok with version 1.17 (I am on 1.15) but my virus scanner thinks that the installer is a virus. :/ Is there a Ezdok section on AVSIM? Thanks for your help Julian

Dovetail purchased the Microsoft product Valve, Steam care of product distribution, to the point things seem clear, appear. I have not seen an official forum to take care of some bugs. One of the problems we can not say if it's a bug or a normal thing, the fact FSX SE does not work with Steam offline, like other Steam games, the installer backup does not work ... Anyone know the way to reach Dovetail or Steam for support, or is it a matter of luck? João Alfredo

Hi, I've just been compiling traffic plans using the Carenado 208 Caravan, and it appears correctly at the right time, but everyone is tipped over. Why? When used as a flyable plane, it works fine ... ???? I hope you can see, in the background:

Strange thing just started happening. I'm on the runway sitting behind the 2d cockpit in the C172.Everything looks fine. The runway is directly out the window to the front. I check the MAP to get a VOR heading to fly to. Coming back from the map,the 2d panel is visible and ok,but the view out the window is totally black. Switching to the "spot view" shows ok,but there is a black square over the tail that is flashing. The only way to cure this I have found is a restart of FSX. Happens with ALL aircraft..... I have no new add-ons. Running Rex Ess;UTX;GEX; any help would be grateful. Skip D

Several years ago I purchased a lifetime membership with FS GENESIS at a reduced price which I know is no longer valid. At that time I purchased the mesh disks for both FS9 & FSX. I never installed X even though I owned it. I bought the STEAM version today for $5.00 & installed it. I now want to install mesh. So is the FS GENESIS mesh the best way to go or is there something better now. Also, what about LC? Any suggestions, or UT still top of the line. Thanks for your input. Jim D..

Hello Gang! As many of you may have noticed, the look out of the cockpit in FSX looks "fish-bowly" - in other words, it does not look natural - there is a fish bowl look to it. I remember years ago when FSX first came out that this issue was addressed but I cannot remember, or find, to save my life how to address this. Any hints would be appreciated. Thanks! Dennis

Hi Guys, I recently noticed that my lens flare doesn't work. I just get a bright glare when I look towards the sun, but the lens flare effect is not there. Not in spot view or VC. I'm running FSX in DX10 but it doesn't work in DX9 either. Bloom and Lens Flare are both on. When I deselect Bloom I don't get the Glare or the Flare! Here's what it looks like! The 'flare.bmp' files are in the Texture folder, and they also get called up in the 'suneffect.cfg' so I'm not sure what the problem is! :huh:

When I undock it and drag to a second touchscreen (not network) I get a 50% drop in frames, typically from 30 down to 15 FPS . Is anyone else having similar issues?

My computer certainly isn't the best, performance wise, but I am still interested in a weather engine for Flight Simulator X: Steam Edition. Hello all, I recently purchased the Razbam Metroliner, and I am currently experiencing an issue with the engines on takeoff. When I advance to full throtle, the engines produce power for about 5 seconds and then quit. I looked in the FSX failure options page, and it both checkboxes for "Complete engine failure" were selected. When I deselect this option and start the engines again, the same thing happens. I have read the documentation and numorus tutorial videos; but to no avail. Happy New Year ~John M

Hi, I have installed the ed cox reverser spray in PMDG 747 and it works very well. Now i have installed the same way in the 737ngx but it doesn't work. Does anyone know if the reverser is fairly compatible with ngx too? Thanks to all, Jason

As it draws to the end of the year, I always think about the 'highs' and 'lows' of aircraft addon releases during the year. But then I got to thinking about the last 5 years; back to 2009. ......that brings in things such as the Flight 1 Citation Mustang, the Eaglesoft Citation X 2.0, the original RealAir Duke, and the A2A Cub, all of which hailed from the far end of this '5 year view'; right up to the latest Aerosoft Airbus releases and A2A marvels in 2014, via things like the NGX in 2011, the Majestic Q400 in early 2013, etc. So what do you reckon? If you were to give the accolade of "Best Aircraft Add-on from the last 5 years", what would you give it to? …

Hi all, currently I purchased a sound spliter from Argos, which allows me to use my headset & headphones and my speakers at the same time. However, I'm having problems setting it up, I want the VATSIM ATC sound to come out of my headphones and my aircraft sound (e.g. engines) to come out of my speakers. Any ideas on how to set this up? Thanks.

Having used Steam now for a few years with the Train Simulator series, I've often encountered problems after RSC or DTG (the companies that have written the Train Simulator series) have decided to send updates via steam when logging in or running the above mentioned. We as a community have made many changes and mods to FSX over the years and so have 3rd party developers. What's left to be seen is if these mods and changes will get damaged forcing a complete install or at least a "file verify" as Steam calls it. Third party Train Sim developers have run into this and usually run "offline" when using the sim. When that first update comes, we'll all know! Just my though…
