Hi guy, Just installed REX4 texture direct, and I was annoyed with the ugly scattered popcorn like clouds, eventhough all the settings are on max. I dont have a weather engine so I use the default FSX fair weather. Any help will be appreciated, how can I make those clouds look like the real thing, thats the reason I bought REX4. Hi all I have always wondered does locking FPS need to be internal or external for fsx to run smooth ? Also does it make a difference running locked fps as opposed to unlimited FPS Thanks

Hi guys. I'm testing this product out before purchasing and was wondering why I can't get any wind or weather info. I have a altitude and destination filled out. I always get a degree and 0kt wind. I must be doing something wrong. I don't think every location I go to should display same info. Anyways, if anybody could help me out so I can use it a little before purchasing, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Hello everybody, When it comes to optimizing FSX' performance, some of the recommended tweaks are to alter the Fiber Frame Time Fraction in the fsx configuration file. There is also a frequent discussion about whether to limit FPS internally or externally for a smoother flight experience. Some users report that using an external limiter causes more blurries, while many others experience a drop in FPS when using the internal limiter. In my experience, the drop can be quite substantial at busy airports. So Dovetail outbid PMDG and other 3rd party devs for the MS FSX code. What kind of bid was this for? Basically, does Microsoft still own or have any claim or rights to the code whatsoever? If yes, then what is preventing PMDG from bidding with Microsoft again and purchasing the FSX code? And if no, then that means Dovetail can do with the code whatever it wants, including re-selling it to PMDG, correct? My thoughts are this... I have a minor problem regarding FSX's default ATC. I mainly fly the PMDG 737NGX, create my flightplan through PFPX and load it into the Sim and the FMC. The default ATC overlay menu thus always provided me with the option to request IFR clearance for my route prior to getting Taxi clearance. Now, that option is gone and I can only request VFR clearance until I let FSX create its own IFR flight plan through the flightplanning menu, which of course doesn't match the more sophisticated flightplan created by PFPX (which remains in my FMC). In steam you must play a game once before activating it. Of course your installers will not recognize that there is no game if it has not been activated by steam. I've been used to installing FSX, then installing add ons. Thanks to all those who tried to help, apparently I missed a detail someplace.

Hello, I mean no act of any trolling or anything.. but may I ask how Angle of Attack passes off their "Trial", when at the end of the trial, you are forced to be charged with the full price of the product? I really love their videos, but am i reading this correctly? I was thinking of purchasing to learn more about them, but they should really offer like some sample videos instead of a trial that forces you to buy the whole thing at the end?? Hey guys as seen in this picture these buildings are not popping up like they used to. for some reason i cannot get rid of the reject small radius parts or something like that in my FSX.CFG due to FSdreamteams addon manager. anyways i have it set to 1 and i cannot set it to zero. if anybody knows how to fix this please tell me.

Hello, I'm just wondering if it is normal for some PC's to be getting better frame rates in P3D over FSX. I get over 60-70fps in P3D and only about 30-40 in FSX. I have the settings maxed in FSX and the settings set to about 50% in P3D. My PC specs are as follows: Intel i7 4790K Nvidia GTX750TI 8 gigs of ram Additionally, I've tried using the optimizer found here: http://www.venetubo.com/fsx.html

Good morning and happy holidays! I recently uploaded a new AFCAD for CYWG and then made some edits using ADE. I've noticed that if I ask for taxi instructions right from the gate, I get turn by turn instructions and get the option of turning on progressive taxi. However, if I ask for taxi instructions (using the default FSX ATC) after pushback, I just get told to taxi to the runway's holding point with no option for turning on progressive taxi. I'll be told which runway to use, just not how to get there. Is there a way to see the progressive taxi line after pushback? Cheers, Colin

Here is my situation : I bought FSX Deluxe Version last year and activated it on my old computer. The product was activated successfully. Later due to the upgrade of the computer hardware, I uninstalled FSX from my old computer and installed it on my new computer, which is the current PC I'm using now. Now I intend to upgrade my PC from Windows 7 32-bit to Windows 7 64-bit due to the limitation of VAS and RAM usage on the 32-bit OS. I need to uninstall FSX again and install it back on my PC after the upgrade. In such a situation, will my FSX fail to be activated after the upgrade of Windows ? Anyone can tell me how to count FSX activation times …

Hi! i just bought the realair duke v2 as my cristhmas present, really nice plane but I have a problem, everytime when I,m going to land at about 60 ft and 85/90 knots the plane rolls to the right or left violently about 45* degrees, I manage to land it after that, but an unartificial movement, I,m using ftx and last Asn version. If anybody could help. Thank you.

Having a hard time adding a piece of scenery to FSX. I don't think this is specific to the scenery. After installing the scenery, I see its folder in the Addon Scenery directory. So far, so good. From within FSX's Scenery Library GUI, I click on Add Area, navigate to the addon airport's folder and when I click "OK", it opens the folder, instead of adding the area. Has anyone ever seen this? Any idea what might be causing it?

It's finally here, a payware version of John Wayne! For a long time, we only had the freeware John Wayne by MK Scenery, recently fixed by Shez Ansari. It was a great airport, not just for freeware scenery, but just a great scenery by any standard. Latin VFR has given us a truly detailed version however, I purchased it this morning, and am very impressed. I am not sure if this is the right forum to post but since I cannot see anything appropiate I try anyway On many airspeed indicators I notice one or several white arcs ( ex Cessna,Moonet Bravo etc ) . I know it has something to do wirh flap extending speeds,however why are there 2 white arcs.One from 40 to 80 knots, the other one from 90 to 130 knots ( as an example ) Can anybody explain ? Hi All, I grabbed this bird during the sale this weekend. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to change the Vertical Speed in Autopilot. I hit the band on the Left (Plus and Minus sign shows up depending if you are up or down), but when I click it, nothing seem to happen. Am I missing something here? I did a google and found a post here mentioning the issue, but could not find a resolution. Just wondering if anyone else who owns this bird happens to know. ILS landing also didn't work, but I figure this VS problem has something to do with that , since I'm descending too fast.. Always seems to be 2000 up.. and 2000 down.. can't change it.
