There is definitely something broken with the way IE6 caches pages. With many pages (but not all) at AVSIM, when I click on "Back" , instead of instantly going back to the previously viewed page, IE6 redownloads the page. This also occurs when saving a page.I downloaded the page about the RCS/MAAM dispute -- which took a long time to dowwnload. So I saved it to read later while offline. It didn't exactly redownload ALL of the content -- but it still took quite a long time to save it and the lights on my external modem indicated that it was downloading something.The OPERA browser doesn't do this -- it goes back to the previous page instantly . Hi,After falling in love with the detail of Phoenix PSS Airbus A319/320/321 add-on, I have been looking for the same type of add-on simulation, but with A-330's and A-340's. I wrote a brief letter to Phoenix Software asking if there was any plans on the development of such add-on. To my dissappoinment they said "no plans my friend"So, after extensive research, I came across Apollo Software, who is releasing "Airbus- fly by wire". Looks to be very detailed and the most realistic add-on so far.My Problem is that I can't find out when they are going to release it for international orders. Lately I've been noticing a bit of slow-down in FS performance and today it got really bad. I run XP and checked my active processes (Ctrl-Alt-Del then Processes tab) and found that something called CTHelper.exe was drawing roughly 98% of my CPU activity. No wonder everything was crawling. I did a bit of research and found that CTHelper.exe is related to Creative and its audio drivers. I went typed 'msconfig' in the 'Run' option under the start menu, went to 'Startup' and unchecked CTHelper.exe. Whammo, things are smokin again. Hi,I have downloaded some Tasmanian scenery, which have come with AFCAd files.When I try to import them I get this problem,First it says unknown place name, and you can select the region, country and town form the drop downs, it seem ok, but I keeps says unknown, so I hit cancel and it says this."Installing YCAE Campbell Town, Campbell Town, TasmaniaThe correct place names for facility import file YCAE1.txt cannot be determined.This facility file was not installed.Installation Finished. In the past few days, there have been people uploading aircraft, and they are arriving in the library with the label "FS2002 Original Aircraft". Two have appeared in the library today by Joe Mann. One, a 727, is actually an FFX 727, although no credit is given to the authors in the description. The other is a 757, which mentions three authors, but not their names in the description.People, come on! Don't claim an aircraft as "my aircraft" when you are either compiling someone else's work, and/or not giving credit to the authors. I just ordered through the avsim store for the first time. I thought the B-25 Briefing time was for download, but I have yet to receive any confirmation or instructions on where to download the product from.Avsim needs to take a look at their checkout process - it's very unprofessional looking. And I should be able to download the package and get a key in the mail but I guess that's not how this works.Anybody else purchase briefing time and have to wait for the confirmation email? Did it contain the instructions to actually get the plane?

I've reached an empasse.I have been the owner of all versions of Flight Sim since version 4, with the exception of FSW95. All this time, I have been cheating myself out of about 85% of what this sim has to offer. In all these 11-plus years of simming, I have yet to really approach it in the spirit which it was designed (IMHO, of course). For me, it's been a case of fly from point A to point B using my own means of "getting there". I've never taken the time to really learn the art of navigating with VORs or NDBs. And when I have used instruments, it's been as a crutch with coupled approaches in heavy iron, because I couldn't shoot a visual in an airliner if someone paid me…

I used to have a small program that scanned my list of aircraft and let me use them as ai aircraft in ttools at just one click of the mouse or two, but i have since reinstalled fs2k2 and cant remember what it was called or anything else about it. can anyone help from this vague description.thanks andy y

hello Just bought the Ariane analogue 737 cockpit and merge it with a freeware Gmax FFX737-200 and I say it's a perfect combination. Althought Ariane didn't provide a complete panel operation (yeah, I know it's on it's way and said to be 200 pages long) I could manage to start her up from cold dark then bring her back to cold dark again, with the help of background knowledge from 767 PIC. One think bother me though, after the shutdown process APU OFF, APU BLEED OFF but still if I try placing the starter to GND the N2 indicates engine spool up!!!??!! I'm quite certain I've cut the bleed from APU and already shutdown the APU itself. What did I do wrong here. …
