I realize fuel injected planes don't have carb heat but shouldn't the default 172 or the RealAir 172 have it? Also, I've yet to see a twin that has it. Are they all fuel injected (even the older ones)?David

  2. There's another interesting thread here: http://forums.avsim.com/dcboard.php?az=sho...id=107179&page= that refers to simming. In that case, it's that instantaneous jump to flying on auto-pilot that simming offers, rather than the many hours of manual flying we have to do in real flight training. My "phobia" has always been in picking a route to fly something like the B734. We have virtual airlines that dispatch flights- but these often (in emulating real world airline pilot schedules) result in flying to and from the same hub airport. Worse- there's always a return "inbound" flight that's just a mirror of the outbound flight from the hub. And- if we knew real ai…

Was wondering if someone could post a pic of the new panel by Pedro Oliviera in the SS forum - assuming someone who already has it is willing to do so. Also, any other interior views if there are any.Believe it or not, that's over an hour download for me!!Thanks, Adam

I'm wondering if there is a utility simply for picking random airports - What I have in mind is a "virtual charter" type experience but one in which the user can specify starting airports, perhaps, then let the program pick a destination based on something like range and runway length.Any leads appreciated!Andrew

Any chance of an explanation to this apparent mystery?Racartronit means something, but I just can't remember what

Can anyone recommend a frames-friendly Speedbird 767? I check PAI, but their Boeing models are currently inaccessible. Aardvark doesn't do 767's.

The Microsoft website says that the new Sim will allow these actions."Request full procedure approaches." "Request non-precision approaches."Would anybody care to guess exactly what they mean by these -- if it is what I think it might be, will it apply to ALL airports in the world?Barry

Hello all!I have a weird problem that happens when I fly RealAir's C172 and C208: When the ac touches downwith a crosswind component it "slides" on the runway like it was covered with grease (or ice). Has anyone experienced this? Usually I point the ac properly (let's say right rudder and left aileron for left crosswind)... Hope this is not a problem on the interface between the chair and the keyboard... ;-)

Anyone have any word on when these might be released? I know they entered beta testing, and from the screenshots, they've looked largely complete for a while now. Their website hasn't been updated in a while now. If someone has no clue to what I'm referring, here's their link:www.eaglesoftdg1.com-John

Hey guys, just noticed on the file list a complete AI package from Brian Futterman that INCLUDES PAI models. I was under the impression that they are not to be uploaded to any site, can anyone shed some light on this? Has anyone tried this package? I'm using Bill's great ERJ panel with the 2002 update and can't seem to pick up any airplanes on it, is that only for using with squakbox (saw it mentioned in one of the pfds.) Also I'm not getting anything mapped out on the MFD when using either map or plan mode. Thanks again for helping.

I was reminded by Roger Mole's ongoing Kai Tak work and enthusiasm for Hong Kong that I found some good landclass for the area which I had forgotten to list on my website; I've put the link there now as it's great, and it goes well with the exclusive mesh from Raymond Taburet available on my site. So go and have a look see ...Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumonthttp://www.swiremariners.com/newlogo.jpg

I have a GeForce 4 Ti4600 128MB card with latest Omega drivers on a P4 2.0 with 512MB RAM with WinXP Home for the OS. Will I need an additional video card installed or can the one I have handle both? What else do I need to get a second monitor up and running? Does it just plug into the back of the computer via an adapter to run both monitors out of the same port (I have a Dell Dimension 8200 and it only has 1 plug in the rear for a monitor? Sorry for the bloody ingnorance but some detailed help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.

I've got an HP 2.53 GHZ/512MB RAM machine with a GEFORCE 4 MX 420 graphics card. I installed the latest Detonator Driver 6.14.01.4351 and DirectX 9.0a. Now all the lights on the airfields and on the aircraft have little black boxes around them. I uninstalled and reinstalled FS 2002 Pro and still have the boxes. Help.JBear
