Hello allWhat i'm actualy trying to do is: use the king airpanel and virtual cockpit with the fs2002 dash 8-100i can use the panel itself by placing the panel folderinto the dash8 folder but wont have the VC.I heard that the answer is in the MDl file, is it possible to use that Vc on another airplane ?Help appreciated....Louis

In my FS2002 settings (in the display section) I have 2 choices for a graphic card to choose from. One is listed as NVDIA GeForce2 MX/MX400 the other is listed as NVDIA GeForce2 MX/MX400 (.Display1U0) Is there a difference between those 2 choices? If there is a difference which one is a better choice? Right now I have it set on NVDIA GeForce2 MX/MX400

Does anyone know of a really good freeware (or a great shareware) Gauge Cleaner for FS2K2?I have more unused gauges in my GAUGES folder than I want to think about.There were a few under development some months ago. I wonder if any came to fruition.

I'm looking at getting a Surecheck TPAS unit for traffic avoidance (real world, not simming) but the few reviews online have essentially said it doesn't work. For $600 maybe it is too good to be true. If any of you have experience with it would you please give me your impressions. Thanks!David

Hi all,Im having several doubts about my problem...when Im at 1280X1024 all planes looks exactly as they should be (in size) and FPS arent high...but when I change to 1024X768 Project Airbus A320 looks kinda a A318 , samething with all other planes (too short)...and my FPS are like in 40 vs 25 in 1280X1024.I've tried several new and old drivers...nothing changed with this.Please help with this...any comments, or this is common

Hi People,I am just getting onto the AI traffic bus and have downloaded 'kit' posted recently to add worldwide traffic. Everything gone OK, but it mentions AFCAD files for increasing gates etc. Fine and dandy - I have downloaded and installed a few with AFCADinstaller.Question - there are LOADS of these files posted.Has anyone a zip of all the current AFCAD files, or even a chunck of them?Anyone very correct and saved all there download afcads and could zip them up?Very grateful if possible.email to [email protected]

I tried the Garmin stuff... anyway, that was before I uninstalled FS, defragged, and reinstalled FS.Each time I start FS now I get two messages warning about the possible incompatibility of FSGarmin(something), which I didn't konw I still had.Also, a bunch of aircraft I added on are still there. I'd like to "wipe it clean" and start over.Looked in fs2002.cfg but didn't see anything and don't know enough about the rest to safely goof around, I think.Any help appreciated,Andrew

Flying in a beautiful half-rainy morning out of Miegs (gasp...) it hit me once again that rain on the canopy of a 172 can be REALLY loud.. like bb's... Is there a way to make the rain louder?Thanks,Andrew

I've been substituting default sound files with some of the excellent jet engine sound files available. Many of the accompanying "readme" files suggest a utility called "FS Sound." Anybody know what this is, and where to get it?I did a search here and came up with zero.I have noticed that some of the sound files do wreak some havoc with my sound card sometimes. I'm just wondering if "FS Sound" can give me some control over this.Thanks a million, folks!Rick

Here's the scenario. My current computer is of a 1.2 gHz processor with a 40 GB hard running under Windows XP. Although its relatively low-end by today's standards it works well for me because I tend to keep it optimized; which means cleaning my hard drive regularly.Recently I've been noticing a relatively puzzling problem; which I'm sure may appear a bit obsessive to others....the free space on my C drive has suddenly dropped from 2.61 GB to 2.35 GB free.What is puzzling is that my C:drive - my boot drive - is a 5 GB partition that only contains Windows XP and the "Shared" files that some software like Norton Antivirus installs there. How can I get the old lay-out of this Forum? I mean the one, where several lines of the first contribution could be read. Now, the column of the Topic is so narrow, that I can read only a few words, whereas other columns (Author, Last updated date) are much broader than necessary. Not even "Choose Classic View" gives med the format I want. The FS2002 Forum at Flightsim.com is still in the same way it used to be here at Avsim.com. Is the old lay-out possible to get?Roland

I am sure there has been some posts but I just had to say something to somebody. I cannot believe the quality put into this A/C. The VC is as clear as the 2d in all views. Up down and sideways. Ive only spent 30 minutes but this plane has got to win top honors. If you dont have it you are really missing out on a wonderful experience. It does put the pressure on the CPU and probably not for lower end machines. Absolutely a piece of Art. The hours put into this must be incredible.Bob G

I did an IFR flight into a non-ILS airport yesterday with the weather set to overcast down to a base of 1000 feet. The ATC told me to expect a visual approach , vectored me to an approximate entry point , took me down to 2000 feet and then asked me if I had the airport visual. Of course, I didn't -- so there my flight had to end IFR as the ATC would not allow me to go any lower and kept on asking me if I had visual everytime I told them that I didn't.Barry

HiThere is something going on with searching for files on XP. I searched everywhere on the drive for files stamped for today that are of jpeg or bmp and nothing shows up. Can someone tell me where they FS2002 snapshots get stored? I even created a notepad file and then searched for it and it didnt show up. I had shut of indexing for a while and wonder if something got hosed. Thanks for your helpBob G
