Still on my quest for best performance:Antialiasing: Whats the different bettween 2X, 4X, and Quincunx? Whats besT?Whats ansitropic filtering? Whats the best setting?What is the setting in flight simulator called "Filtering" with Bi-linear and tri-linear filtering?

Freeware or payware, whatever is the smartest with most functionalities and a "good and proper" look (no photographs as gauges)Thanks

Hi,I have aparently been wrong in what I was using,or was I?I was told that if I wanted to run a duel monitor set-up then I should but a secondary GF2 PCI card to use my second monitor in FS2002,for example, I use the main monitor a 22"er for the forward/main cockpit view on a GF4Ti4600, I also use a GF2 for the second monitor so I can see FS Nav on the other 21"er whilst flying without having to keep pressing F9 etc, but I thought that if I just used the GF4 Ti4600 and plugged both monitors into it then I would get performance loss and stutters in FS, now I have just been informed that I wouldent get this at all,and that in fact it would probably make it all run better …

Hi,Seems something is going wrong with the downloaded data in FSMETEO. I have ver. 1.51 and applied the latest patch. Did a few flight around Texas last night (coastal areas) in order to get a look at 'Claudette' but all I got was clear skies and no wind gusts and no I wasn't flying in the eye of the hurricane :) Anybody else having the same problems lately with FSMETEO ?Cheers,Smalco

The new Fairchild Dornier is 35MB?? Can anyone tell me if this is worth the download time? For some reason I'm getting only 13.3KB/sec so I have to restart my internet. I hope the speed goes up. But 35MB?

I have downloaded the taxi speed programme off the PAI website but have yet to make any impact on AI speed. Is there a specific location you must put the programme in - its confusing because there was no readme file with the download.

Anyone know where I might find blank textures I can use to repaint a VC-10? I've checked avsim, flights sim, sites and no luck (found VC-10's, no blanks) Rick

All you heli fans, this thing is very nice, and from what I understand it is his first design, talk about a grand entrance!! Hi,i'm experiencing problems in Fs2002 since i upgraded my videocard from a GF2 MX to a Radeon 9600 (non Pro).In Fs2002 the performance is low (no diff with the MX level) and while i know Fs's limitations being CPU-dependant i assumed there would be some improvement.Furthermore, the quality doesn't improve either. Changing the AA and AF settings in ATI's control panel doesn't impact anything, at least not visible. Also, performance is not affected by these changes.For frames, in the default Meigs situation i have about 15-25, it will not stabilize. Also i notice some serious stutters that weren't there before. I just completed a flight through the worst conditions I have set for myself thus far, just to see what it would be like- and wow, what an experience it was.I started out from Culebra, an airstrip on an island of the same name, which is about 17 miles from the eastern shores of Puerto Rico. I might stand corrected, but I believe yesterday was the first time ever in Australia that a Microsoft Flight Simulation product was given a preview on Television. Mum rang me at midday yesterday (Sunday 13th) and told me to quicky change to channel 7. The program was called "Control Freaks" and the show appears to preview upcoming computer games (PC, Gameboy, PS, etc) as well as provide short reviews of newly-released games.The piece they did on FS2004 was quite good considering the mass audience and the limited time of the presentation (a few minutes). I use them in FS2002 all the time, they're great. :)Question: I notice in the store that the box for the latest edition of Tiger Woods PC golf sim says that graphics are in 3D. I am wondering if I buy the Tiger Woods sim, will it play well and look good through these stereo goggles? If so then I'll give it a shot, the British Open puts me in the mood!

Has anyone heard anything about the Flightcraft A330's? Last I heard they were updating the A330 and making a A330v2, but I haven't heard anything from them in awhile and was wondering if they were still working on the A330v2? Also what is the flightcraft web site address?

I just don't get it. I have been stomped down before in the forums for speaking out about this model, and I don't understand why all the "realism lovers" have not jumped aboard this plane and given it its just reward.When it comes to a realistic, super, wonderful, fly it right or get out of the seat plane, the fanda Dash 8 is by far one of, if not the, best planes out there. Sure, I agree the outside model is not the best, but the panel, which Oleskiy Frolov was really trying to build in the first place, is by far the tops. His attention to detail is incredible. I cannot for the life of me find a keystroke combination to change the ND or EICAS modes on the stock 777 or 747 on MSFS 2002. You can certainly click on the screen to do it, but I want to program my GoFlight P8 to make the change. I can program any keystroke combination to change the modes if I KNOW WHAT THEY ARE!!! Hi,Today FS2002 won't start up any longer and hangs in the startup screen. A new window is opened saying the following: "Cannot read FS2002 MagVar data. You will be using 0.0 Magnetic Deviations." When I click OK nothing happens and after a short while FS2002 craches to desktop.Does anybody knows what's going on and can help me fix it? I don't feel like FS2002 installing again! Ok, I was just perusing an alternate Flight Sim site and came across a discussion about saving old manuals and boxes and such.It got me thinking about what I could handle since I USED to do that with boxes and still have TONS of user manuals.I propose the following question to the flight sim community : How many people could ACTUALLY pack up your computer never to use flight sim again?I know that it would take a LARGE LIFE altering experience for me to do it.
