I only recently noticed that I sometimes leave tire marks at touchdown on the landing runway with my new 737NG.. does anyone know if this only happens when you fly the "big iron"? Most of my flying is in GA aircraft, and I simply do not recall having seen this before..Pretty neat feature!

Just a few lines for enjoyment.Aarmin :D1. Takeoffs are optional. Landings are mandatory.2. If you push the stick forward, the houses get bigger. If you pull the stick back, they get smaller.3. Flying isn't dangerous. Crashing is dangerous.4. It's always better to be down here wishing you were up there than, up there wishing you were down here.5. The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire.6. The propeller is just a big fan in front of the plane used to keep the pilot cool. When it stops, you can actually watch the pilot start sweating.7. When in doubt, hold on to your altitude. No one has ever collided with the sky.8. A "good" landing is one …

To all of the FS2k4 beta-testers...Can you guys comment on the training and flight lessons in FS2004/ Have they been improved since FS2002? I think my biggest problem w/ 2002 was the lack of sufficient documentation, i couldn't even get past the Private pilot checride in FS2002 like I did in 2000. Also have they added a multi-engine rating in the lessons etc.? Any comments would be appreciatedThanks in advanceNickPilot737

Hi friends, while waiting behind an Alitalia A320 for LIML tower to give me clearance for takeoff i noticed this very odd things:1)Volare Airlines A320 on short final 4 nm offRwy 36R got its landing clearance and when only a few meters from touchdown pilot told: "Volare XXX is going missed" and did a step climb! WWWHHHAATTTTTT does this means? He only had to touch down and brake. What about souls on board???2)Alitalia A320 was holding short at Rwy36R and 2-3 min. later disappeared so i could receive my takeoff clearance and took off right away. What do you think? Is that normal (for 2k2)? Has this been fixed in 2k4?Thanks in advanceLuigi ;-)

I was wondering if there still is the option to select which region can be installed? I remember with FS2K2 I was able to pick only the areas I was interested to install, will it be the same with FS2K4?Thank you in advanceRegardsJohn

Hi!I'm just curious how (if!) the flight dynamics has improved much in 2004? Especially if the learjet has improved, (the wobbly space rocket thing going on in 2002 wasn't quite as real as it got :-) )/fredrik

Just wondering, but with all my addon aircraft, scenery, Ultimate Traffic, customizations, etc. when I install FS2004, will we have to do separate instalations for each addon or is it possible to use the same installation for both 02 and 04? For example, will my current installation of the Dreamfleet 737 also work for 04, or will it have to be installed again? Thanks.

Hello to all!Question; What is the procedure for me to add a new panel into FS2002, using one of the original aircraft, keeping the sounds, the gauges, and all the things related to the new panel out of the original FS2002 folder. Can I create a folder and tell FS2002 to use the original aircraft but to look for the sounds, gauges, paints and all the new things of this panel in this new folder.Thank you for your time!

I have started running a new machine I just assembled, but I am having problems with my joystick. It was working normally in Windows 98SE, but the behaviour now is disastrous.First, I used the drivers that came with XP. The problem is that the force would change suddenly. Then I installed the driver that I received with the joystick and the patch for the VIA controller. The result is different but still very bad: very often the force seems to be exactly opposite to what you expect: e.g., when rolling to the right the force to move the stick also to the right.Has anyone experienced similar problems? I hope someone can help.Regards,DomingosAsus A7V8X-X, XP2600+, 512MB, GF 48…

Hi,Does anyone know if FS 2004 and 2002 can be run from the same computer. Not simultaniously, but where I can choose to run either one or the other at different times? Reason I want to do this is I don't want to give up sims like PIC 767 but would also like to use the features of the newer sims that will operate with 2004 737NG, C-310, etcSystem: WinXP SP1, Intel 845PE, P4 2.54, 1GB Ram, ATI9700Pro, 160GB RAID 0 array from which game applications are run.If push comes to shove, and 2002 & 2004 won't work because of DLL conflicts or whatever, then I guess I'll just stick with 2002Thanks folks,Barry"Try to avoid ejecting over an area you just bombed."

I was wondering through Hovercontrol (http://www.hovercontrol.com) and downloaded a video. FS2004 now supports gear rectraction on helos....no more pausing as you had to do in FS2002.

Somehow FS2002 has got screwed up and all my planes have black smoke coming from the engines at startup. I can't turn it off with the "I" key or any other way that i can see. This happens with all my planes, not just jets. It must have started after installing an addon plane but I don't know which one it is and don't know how to fix the problem. Can anybody give me some advice? Thanks,Dave Alfstad, CFI

Do the taxiway signs look cheezy or do they look right? You dont need a photo unless you feel like it. Thanks

Hi I don't buy PMDG737NG so I won't post personal openiun here, but to answer your question I think it is better wait and see. Wait till the reviews come out and better yet, wait to download their manual and see weather it has what you're looking for. That is if you are budget concious. Goodluck with your dicision.

2002 scenery add-ons won't work in COF unless diddled with.Aircraft won't work in COF unless schmoozed.2002 meshes won't work unless ported because the prior install folder doesn't exist in COF. Most payware will need to be hammered. The Captain Sim Legendary I bought won't work, FSNavigator I bought is dead, flight1 Ultimate traffic I paid US$29 won't work, My legally purchased Lago Emma, Lago Ultralights, Lago Flight Scenery Enhancer, and Lago Flight Sound won't work, My Flight1 Meridian won't fly, My $39 FS Architect won't work, my $79 designer's Abacus package has just hit the half-price shelves two days after laying down my Visa, and I'll skip the other stuff. And I b…

Does anyone know if the T-38 in the new files is a new version or is it just a re-release of the same plane (which is great BTW).

I normaly fly the smaller jets (757's and smaller) but yesterday I decided to fly one of my POSKY 747-400's (Sydney-Fiji). Everything went fine except for the landing, the plane would not capture the ILS and I had to declared a miss 6 times before I gave up.I got the ILS freq and tuned the Freq on the NAV1 radio, turned on NAV1 about 10 miles out, Then I set the NAV/GPS switch to NAV My altitude was 2100 ft (ATC told me to desend to 2100 ft til established on the localizer), then I pressed the APR button as I entered the glideslope. But the plane never caught the ILS, what am I doing wrong with the 747? Going to slow maybe? Not trimming the plane enough maybe? (Im using a…
