Hello,I am very interested in hearing from one of the members if the a/c will be released. I am patiently waiting for it, if it doesn't come out oh well, but this a/c was great and I would love to be able to fly it, I still have the early release version and love it to death, even though some people were childish, It shouldn't have to mean it ruins it for the rest of us. We all support you guys on your hard work. Thank you very [email protected]

I just plunked down my $5.00 to reserve my copy at the local store and am as giddy as a schoolboy waiting for it to arrive. I just have to have that tin....But anyway, besides the really cool planes that are included. I want to ask the beta testers, which features cause the biggest frame rate loss.I am running a Celeron 600 with a 64MB Nvidea Geforce 4 video card and 320 Megs of Ram.I am running FS2002 pretty satisfactorily with the Frame Rate counter locked on 15,The biggest hits I have are Reflections and T and L.AI TrafficAutogen Scenery.Cloud density. What I would like to know is this. I am running a very modest system. Have any of the beta testers tested on a mode…

Ok, people. I have one request for this one. No negatives on this post please (We've had enough for a while :)). In other words, after you list your feature, don't follow it up with stuff like "ALTHOUGH THEY COULD'VE DONE THIS BETTER" or something like that :)What features are you looking forward to in FS2004 (for those that are going to get it)?My list:1) More "realistic" ATC2) AI Aircraft going to non-towered airports.3) Simultaneous approaches (kind of neat to watch, I think).4) Taxiway signs (and I think gate/ramp numbers).Steve

I noticed I am losing about 15-20% off my framefrate in FS2002 when I hit 'Q' and have the sound enabled. As soon as I hit 'Q' again and turn off sound, my fps goes up 15-20%.I have experimented with low sound quality and other sound settings in both FS2002 and DirectSound to no avail. I assumed that the SB Audigy would take some load off the CPU; I think the 15-20% fps drop is excessive. I have a SoundBlaster Audigy MP3, WinXP, on a homebuilt rig (1800 mhz, 512 Corsair RDRAM, etc.) I have the latest WHQL drivers from Creative; (new ones are pending I believe, the beta driver link posted on Tom's Hardware has been removed). Is this 15-20% frame drop with sound normal…

Hello to all;Question, I have the CH Joke with three levers on top. In the ATR 42-72 when I'm climbing the speed of the aircraft begin to decrease. What is the procedure for propeller aircraft in relation to the three levers on my CH joke and the altitud of the aircraft. When to adjust what, how this levers affects the aircraft speed in relation to the altitude. I hope someone can help me here.Thank you.

Ok, I picked a great time to get back into Flight Simulator right when a new version is coming out! My computer is needing an upgrade anyway and I figure I'll have to do something to get the new version to run. I know I meet the minimum system requirements but in the past those minimum requirements have not meant the sim will run like I would want it to. So, some of you have tested the beta version and have the gold version...my question is will I be able to run the sim on my computer setup as listed below and what upgrade would be best for me out of my listed options? Thanks very much!!!AMD 1 GHz512 RAMNVIDIA G-FORCE 2I'm looking at the following upgrades:Either the …

Did Nick Botamer and Bill Grabowski change the address for project-erj.com? For 3 days I have not been able to get to the web site.

Hi John,You may have missed my question that I tagged onto a previous topic regarding taxiways. I was just wondering if the scenery density slider needs to be set to a particular minimum density value in order for the taxiway signs to display (ie "sparse", "normal", etc). Or do they work like the windsocks did in FS2002 - that is they appear regardless of density settings? Thanks.

FS2004 has still not been officially released to the public, and will not be for another 2-3 weeks. Unfortunately, illegal copies of this software have already been made available. Avsim.com does not condone or allow pirated software on its servers or forums, no matter who makes it or it is freeware or not.Until FS2004 has officially been released to the General Public, the following rules are in effect:1) Statements about the behavior/features of FS2004 are only allowed by bona fide beta testers or Gold owners. Any posts by users not known to the avsim.com staff as beta/Gold owners will be locked and/or removed.2) Screen Shots of FS2004 are only allowed by bona fide beta…

I've read so many Q&As and seen so many screenshots of FS COF that I just thought I HAD to ask mine. So here they are:1) One of the most obvious things I thought could be improved upon in FS2002 and FS2000 was that ground shadows appeared crisp and bright, as if in the Floridian sun, even when it was overcast or raining! Does FS9 address this? I'd have hoped that the improved weather engine deals more accurately with light/visibility levels.2) It's a long shot, this one; but when zooming in virtual cockpit (usually to identify passing AI traffic), it always frustrated me that the pan increments, even when set to small steps, became huge steps when zoomed toa distant o…

Anyone know If excessive taxi thrust has been addressed? Thanks From Jim

Can someone advise me please about controlling better the taxi speed on FS2002.It's very difficult to keep it down to a controllable level such that increasing the throttle a little doesn't send the aircraft into a mad rush forward.Perhaps some tweaking of the aircraft file or some piece of freeware?Thank you.Carlo F.

What type of final approach do larger commercial aircraft (757, a320, etc...) most frequently conduct. ILS or Visual? How long is there final approach (5, 10, 15 miles...?)?Do they use ILS until they clearly see the runway then go visual?

Hi all,Changed from a Geforce4 MX440 to an FX5600, and my flight sim is broken! I can't see the 2D panels. I can only get them to show up by running in window mode and selecting to 'undock window'. Otherwise I just get black squares where the panels are. The click spots on them work fine when they are 'invisible', so they are loading.I've tried a bunch of different drivers too.Plug the MX440 back in and they are fine.Any ideas? Thanks,Gareth Evans

Does anyone have teh latest Ryanair flight plans that include Blackpool to Dublin and Stanstead? If so, can you please e-mail me at [email protected]

I've recently downloaded and installed a couple of panels for fs2002pro, but on firing up the program, I've been presented with the message "Flight Simulator cannot load gauge ---" in relation to a particular gauge.A search for information on the web only resulted in a tutorial by Dai Griffiths of Dragonflight Design which is way over my head. Apparently, the problem is only restricted to FS2K2 running under Windows XP and is related to "compiler switches and and final version type" according to Dai. A solution is given, using Microsoft Visual C++, but is only understandable if you have C++ programming knowledge.Anybody out there have an understandable solution to this …

I'd like to test a few freeware landclass files but before I do so I'd like to have some clarification. If I installed FSGenesis US National Landclass beta would it conflict with a more localized landclass version such as the Florida landclass by Bob Brown and Joe Wilson?I suppose the general question is whether it is possible to install various landclass files directly to the Scenery folder and have them co-exist. In the case of a national and local landclass file; how is it determined which one takes precedence? Thanks.

I was messing around with my settings today *:-* and I noticed a little issue with FSAA.When I enable FSAA, whether it be 2x, 4x, or 6x, I get a line that runs around the center of the fuselage...almost like you can see where two halves have been joined. Now, when I disable FSAA the line "showing the two halves" disappears. I have noticed this on a quite a few aircraft 99.9% being airliners. To see what I mean, enable FSAA in your video card settings (try the max FSAA setting)and load an airliner with a long cylendrical fuselage (ok, any airliner I guess, lol) and take a close look at it in the aircraft menu. You will see the line I am speaking of. Now, exit out of flight …
