Hello all!I am considering purchasing the new PMDG 737 but was wondering about the model shape. I have seen screenshots of the aircraft but the nose looks off IMO....of course it could be the angle of the shots! TThe Ariane model looks to be pretty darn close to reality and since I have that one it is a lot easier to compare to the model shape.So, for those of you that have both models which one is more accurate externally?? I am MOST concerned about the nose shape since obviously the 737s from Ariane and the 737s from PMDG are different aircraft...but as far as I know the noses on the 737 series never really changed.PLEASE, post your observations AND if possible, can som…

Hi I recently upgraded my traffic to version 3. And since doing so fs 2002 will load up fine, and I am able to select my planes in the drop down box but as soon as I click OK, FS crashes back to desktop. This does not matter what plane whether addon or default the same happens. The only way I can get to fly is sticking with the default flight. I have tried swapping planes both inflight and in multiplayer mode, but the same happens. I have removed the update and to no avail. I have also deleted my fs2002.cfg and swapped my traffic.bgl with a working one, as well as removing all addon planes and module from the fs directory

Anyone know if there's any good scenery for Long Island, NY, or if there's any in the works? Thanks!

I have G-MAX aircraft and I just wanted to know if the 2d panels and gauges that work in FS 2002 will work in FS 2004?Eddie

Ok, I understand there will be skeptics who read this, but it works for me. And, I have seen almost 300% improvement in some scenarios. First, the background:I have a Tyan 1854S mother board with a P3 1gig Intel processor. My video card is a GeForce Ti 4200 and I have 512 megs of ram. It is, in short, a fairly conventional, and by today's standards an outdated machine. I had been getting in the upper single digits, mid teens in most cases. Some aircraft, notably, Geoffa's Debonair were simply unflyable with an exterior view frame rate of about 4 to 5. I have asked this earlier. Will we hear the traffic in the pattern at the uncontrolled airports? Like reporting positions? And is there traffic at all airports? Thanks for any information.

On some of my planes the instrument panel I use does not have the world/map icon to click so I can get the ILS frequency for the airports. Is there a hot key I can press to bring up the map? Or is there a place on the web that gives those frequency numbers for airports around the world?

This is my personal view about the Active Camera 2002 V1 or 1.1 I think it is an over-kill. I feel the earlier pro version is much better. I have unistalled the latest version and put back the pro verion. I miss the spot plane view which I can view in all positions and distances which I cannot do with the latest versions of 2002.I am not sure whether I am missing something but feel if not that the Active Camera is an over-KillShri

Here is a pic I took of a few model errors/texture errors with the IFDG 767-300. The livery I used was the UPS New Colors but it appears to occue on every IFDG 767 aircraft..not sure about the center issue but the 2 flashing model errors on the wing undersides and topsides do exist on all IFDG 767's.*NOTE* This issue also appears on the top area of the wings only to not as great an extent (same area on top)http://forums.avsim.com/user_files/21144.jpgHope this pic helps for when you create the patch!!:)

Hi friends,when i change view, for example, when i go to spot view and then revert to 2D panel forward view, cannot stick the angle of view i selected before and have to use again SHIFT-ENTER to watch down for feeding my needs.Now i ask, is there a way to stick a view editing panel.cfg?I know there is a line to insert but i have never done such kind of job :-(VIEW_FORWARD_WINDOWS=MAIN_PANEL,20, 21,...VIEW_FORWARD_DIR=0.0, 0.0, 000Should this be correct?What do numbers represent? i need to watch down.Thanks in advanceLuigi ;-)

I downloaded the 767-300F in UPS colors. The main gear doors dont work, the left one opens up into the gear bay and the right one doesn't do anything, the gear goes right through it.

I have a problem with the installation of the new MB339 aircraft. It seems to install OK, however, FS2002 reports the following on startup:File; GaugeSound.DLL -3rd party software that may not be compatible with this version of flight simulator.Trying to skip loading this file results in failure to run FS2002. Loading the file also cause FS2002 to fail (abort).Any ideas on what is going on here? Is there a work-a-round?Thanks,jim b

no matter what a/c i have even defualt, when i change to set up flight number and tail numbers etc, that works, i can change those but the atc callsign is ghosted out, i cant select the drop down box to choose which callsign i have, does anyone know what wrong and how to solve it?thanksciao!Brian S

I've been running ActiveSky 1.5 for quite a while and have had good luck and fun with it. Recently, my FS2k2 started not registering surface winds anymore. I get winds above 2000 feet or so, but not below.Can someone tell me what the deal is or if you experiance the same?SP

Everytime im flying i always get the stupid Messnger Service Popups and when i click on them to go off my Flight Sim Minimises, this is really annoying when im on multiplayers, landings and bush flying between the hills. Hi As far as I can remember I think an armed spoiler (speed breaks) never extend apon wheels touchdown? Has anyone manage to get it work as it should? In my case, the armed spoilers is kind of slave to thrust reversers, but never work apon wheel depress on touchdown.

I have just found this out especially when using the PSS A320 at Manchester at night that disabling sound by pressing by default "Q". It really does improve framerates i have had boosts of about fps 8 and without sound a +10 increase.
