Hi,I would like get a good weather program, would active sky be a good buy for me.At the moment I use weathermaker, would active sky be better than this? The only problem is that I do not use downloaded weather, I would prefer to have it randomly generated, I find that getting weather from the internet is a pain as I only have a dial-up connection (and a slow on at that). Thanks in advanceDan.

hi guys I have seen in a web somewhere that a realife Piper ArcherII CAN do a vertical loop so I'm trying that with my Dreamfleet Piper Archer II, and I also use Alert pro to monitor and generate failures. With only 20 pct of fuel onboard, everything went fine I manage to go over the top (elevator trim is up). When I enter downhill and try to pull out of a dive for level flight Alert Pro generated controlsurface damage for overloading the aircraft.(the Archer can widthstand 3 to -3 G) I know I can pull more gently but that would result in staying in a dive too long and over speed my aircraft anyway. I would like to learn to do it in the correct and reailistic w…

I searched all the forums here and I didn't see an answer but I'm sure someone must have tried this before.I'd like to merge the Carenado Piper II visual model with the DreamFleet Piper II panel. Do I simply alias the DreamFleet panel in the configuration file or is it more involved that that? Would I have to edit contact points, etc?

Can you declare emergencies? If anybody knows if it is possible to finally declare emergencies with the new ATC, I would love to hear your thoughts. Thanks. Greg in Asheville

They say a picture is better than words. I whipped this up hastily but it might give an idea of some of the atc system-especially the way I use it to practice approaches at an airport.Go to this link:http://mywebpages.comcast.net/geofa/pages/ms/cap.htmlhttp://mywebpages.comcast.net/geofa/pages/Geofdog2.jpg

There were add-on products that improved elevation data for FS 2002. These products made the mountains look better. How does FS2004 compare to FS2002 in this area? Will we still want to buy add-on products to obtain the improvements, or has FS 2004 already done this for us?Thanks,Jim

For those who read my post a couple a weeks ago I have decided to have one more attempt at this. I have changed some of the rules to make it more flexible. I started last night and the fisrt departure point was Winnipeg. Take a visit to the website where it will be updated daily. I do hope many of you take interest in this idea. Anyway were on Day 2 now so I'm off to update the website now. www.geocities.com/brosite2002/If you wish to fly a leg you may post your results on this thread.

Now that a small amount of testers have a gold copy...has anyone experienced any problems? I mean CF3 went gold and into production and was riddled with problems from what I read (kept me from buying it). So it sounds like the Beta team did a great job for the CoF in keeping the gold bug free.Kilstorm

Anyone know how detailed San Francisco is, both the city and airport? I'm assuming since KSFO was one of the detailed airports in FS2002 that this remains true, and I'm hoping they've added a few more details.

I have been flying FS2002 with a P3/1000, Geforce 2 MX machine - My FPS were never really that great anyway - so I set the slider to 20 and I have enjoyed FS2002 with this machine , even though there has been a bit of "stuttering" etc , at various airports around the world. Now I have built an AMD XP2400, Geforce 4 TI4200 based machine and am getting much higher FPS .Now I know that it is generally accepted convention in these forums that the FPS should be limited to some number --- BUT I am finding with this new machine , that if I leave the FPS set to unlimited , I am getting a much smoother and fluid ride. I have read this before and am now starting to agree with it.It…
