Hi,I have searched and can't find an answer to this - sorry if someone has.I have loads of sceneries, aircraft and add-ons installed. Does FS2004 give the option of upgrading the install from 2002 - this would save having to add back in all of the sceneries etc?Thanks,Matt

Beta Testers,Just wondering has the Poles bug been fixed in this version??? I remember there was a problem flying across the Poles in FS2k2. It seems your aircraft would go into warp speed and the sim would crash. Can you guys send some pictures of your flights there as well (maybe some northern lights can be seen)???

I don't know if this has been posted already, but in the FS2004 forum at Flightsim.com I spotted a thread about AI aircraft being able to use specific gates at airports.According to the message, you can add multiple preferences in the .cfg file to tell an aircraft to use for example Air France gates first, and Delta gates next. You can even use this to direct UPS planes to UPS gates, and to cargo gates next.Hope this is true because it would be a great feature, and more than I expected.**edit**Just saw it was posted already.

Hi Guys,Well we finally got the final word from Microsoft about being out from under the Non-Disclosure Agreement for FS2004. We can speak about anything we see in the Gold version (ie the version you will see in a few weeks) but not about the beta process So here is the real inside scoop..Does Ultimate Traffic work with FS2004?Yes, currently about 85% fully functional. When I first flew FS2002, I had quite a problem with pitch sensitivity with the default aircraft, i.e. way too sensitive. And adjusting the sliders seemed to make very little difference. Of course, subsequent add-on aircraft from Dreamfleet, the Dassault Falcon and others alleviated this problem.I'm wondering if any of the beta testers have noticed an improvement in FS2004 regarding this issue. I just keep coming back to this. When I don't want to push buttons. When I don't want to cruise. When I don't want to watch other acft. When I don't want to shoot something down (*grin*). When I just want to fly, and do loops, hammerheads, low passes, skywriting (okay, not real good at that *grin*)... it's Eckert's Stearman for me!It's just plain fun to fly for flying's sake... and a damn fine model to boot!

Hey guys... I have been chatting with a payware FS developer recently helping him decide what his next project should be. My suggestion was to do a corporate jet, perhaps a Gulfstream V with a full FMC. He is concerned that many flight simmers wouldn't fly the Gulfstream V because it is corporate and many people favor the commercial airliners. He thinks that flight simmers would favor perhaps a DC-10 with a INS unit. So here are the two parts to the survey:1.) What would you rather see developed? MS say that FS2004 will have "Improved support for 3D graphics hardware acceleration in multiple windows and across multiple monitors".Does this mean that using a dual head graphics card and/or additional PCI graphics cards we should be able to run with multiple outside views without the drastic frame rate drop that is experienced in current versions of FS?And if so, will this also work under Win98 as well as under XP?I haven't noticed any discussion about this, and I would have thought that cockpit builders would be quite excited about it. I know about Wideview, but have been put off by the need to smuggle more computers into the house:) - this could be the solution.

I'm interested to get Radar contact3 for ultimate realism in flying experiance, but since FS2004 with it's "enhanced ATC system" is on the horizon, so I doubt is the FS2004 ATC be as good as radar contact?As far as I know Radar contact can not communicate with AI aircrafts (and vice versa) yet, so I thought IF I buy it now maybe I have to pay for their upgrade later to make it FS2004 compatible, or yet for their addition features mentioned above. Hi everyone! I'm a big fan of having wing views from the cabin (ariane 737 and 757 for example)...does anyone know where I can find some regional jets (crj, erj) that have the same capabilities? I prefer to stay in the normal cockpit view, and just adjust the eyepoint settings, because I have no clue how to use active camera.Thanks for the info...ps..I'm using fs2002 (at least for another month or so)

hi I fly with IVAO using squawkbox2.3 but I wonder what is the correct procedure to reconnect to the network in the case of internet disconnect. Do I have to exit sb, cancle fs multiplay and start all over (because my IP has change) I always do this but think it is a burden. Or I can just right click on sb and select connect right away? I have try the later method and found that it work ok, only it won't display chat text in FS, but I can check it in sb anyway, is this ok?

I turned on my TV set and tuned to the Discovery Wings channel, and there was a show starting called Learning To Fly. I started watching it, and in between the real teaching scenes in the airplane, were the same scenes from the Microsoft Flight Simulator.This episode was teaching steep turns, and the whole series looks really interesting, especially for us FS fans. If you have satellite or cable you will really enjoy this program. And with wide screen and surround sound it is wonderful.
