I swung into Best Buy to get my printer worked on and, just for giggles, checked with the software folks on the availability date for FS2K4. After a search, they said 29 Jul 03, but the date is not firm as Microsoft hasn't announced the firm release date yet. Has anyone out there heard any news on when the real "ship date" is going to be announced? I guess I won't get into "lean forward" mode until I hear this date announced...Thanks,Dave

Lately I've noticed that cab files show up as winzip files instead. Anyone know what I could have done to cause this and/or how to correct it? Windows XP Home..thanks, JamesJ

i know that there's a fix that makes traffic within FS2002 taxi at a higher speed, because earlier. i was holding with three other aircrafts at Munich, while three others, went around just because there it was a lufthansa 737 that was taking it slow at 26L At Munich. but i am not really sure what to look for at Avsim nor Flightsim i tried everything that i can.Best Regards Adib Afraj

Hello to all;I have a question about the setting of the altimeter baro preasure. When I press the "B" to update the preasure in the altimetter over 10,000 to 29.92 it changes to 29.91. I'm using Go-Flight modules, the altimeter is supposed to change to 29.92 using this module. It works ok on some panels but on others it goes to 29.91. In what .cfg can I change some data for this to work ok.Thank you for your time.

Can anyone please tell me how to cause BWIA planes to have the correct call sign. I put BWIA in for the call sign but get just the number portion of the atc call sign. thanks in advance

I use Vatsim quite a bit and am comfortable with SB, RW etc. However, I have recently been trying to use FS Multiplayer to hook up with a friend using him as host. We are having some troubles (he can see me but I can't see him).In an attempt to rectify this, I want to be the host, but as I am unfamiliar with XP, I can't figure out how to find my IP address.Can anyone help? (Yes, I do disable the XP firewall).Cheers.

I use Game Commander 2 to control my aircraft with verbal commands but I never thought of using verbal commands to change views. What a cool show on the uses of Flight simulation tecnologies and some of the coolest teasers of FS2004 from Microsoft (wow the rain drops accutally spread on the windshield!) I was wondering how others felt about the show that had a chance to catch it. I think that it was a very good documentury I learned a thing or two from it!P.S. If anyone got 12Mil for a full motion CAE simulator give me a shout! :-lol Just Kidding! If you did have this kinda a money to blow on a system like this boy are you lucky!

If this topic has been addressed before then provide a link to the original post.How come more addon aircraft developers don't include complex failures (fires and such) in the aircraft they sell? To my knowledge, the only successful addon that includes this is PIC 767 and 320. Is it that much harder to model or people are just not interested?

After buying his Legendary 737 product, I entered the forum he/she controls to see if/why the sound of the chatter between flight deck officers was silent. I like the smoke trail upon landing (airliners). Any way to easily extend the time the smoke appears? Seems like it's way too fast. I'd like to double the time.Thanks for your help!Jeff

Will we have to edit the airlines list for FS2004 like we had to do with FS2002 - i.e. so MSFS uses different airline callsigns. Also are there more airline callsigns for FS9?

Hi guysA small point but does anyone else have the problem of the mouse cursor leaving trails (although its not set up to do so) and the images staying on the screen for approx 10secs before disappearing. Does anyone out there have any idea how to stop this?

gooday all..I downloaded the aerodesigns a340 and i think its a great aircraft. The problem im having i think is with my computer. The framerates are absolutly horrid! ive tried messing with the display sliders and that doesnt seem to be helping. My computer is nothing special.. i have a 32 meg video card, a duron 850, 200 mgs of ram, so its not the best computer for flight simulator.. however i can run IFDG's 757 and 767 smoothly, Meljet's 777 very well. In fact the only airplane i have trouble with is the aerodesigns.. even the flightcraft 340-600 works good. I dont have any sceneries installed its all default microsoft scenery and AI so that cant be the reason for it..…
