I have downloaded the taxi speed programme off the PAI website but have yet to make any impact on AI speed. Is there a specific location you must put the programme in - its confusing because there was no readme file with the download.

You should put the taxispeed.exe file in the root FS2002 folder and run it from there, it will work :)

Thanks guys, its working now. Not quite what I expected since some of the aircraft still seem slow and only move fast at certain times (i.e. in a straight line??).
