I purchased a copy of a never activated FSX Gold Edition and I am getting the following error . I was wondering if the FSX Disk#2 is bad and need to ask for a refund. It is basically an error 1305 reading 035b2wi7.bmp. I have tried the install turning off the antivirus and installing as well, etc. The vendor gave me this link: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/258496 It says in the article to contact Microsoft for a replacement. Since FSX has been discontinued, I feel I should just ask for a refund. Has anybody had the same error? I really love flying around the caribbean but at the same time I can't do anything but wonder about the depiction of its biggest Island in FSX. Even with UTX TAC installed, its nowhere near the quality of other UTX regions. Here is an example of a strange line/landclass edge a few miles east of havana, also notice a few landclass incorrections where FSX puts fall foilage on a tropical island: The fall landclass gets more evident when viewing baracoa bay in the islands far east, (which also has an interesting airport to fly in.). After an extremely laborious reinstall I get an error message {attempt to call a nil value stack trace back] just when the fsx splash screan appears. The only thing it seems to affect is the A2A maintenance hanger leaving my PA180 and C182 Skylane useless since I can't change the battery, auto start or do anything with the aircraft. All others including PMDG seem to work fine. I feel something is wrong with the FSX program {box] rather then the A2A addon. Any one with any ideas? I am running windows ten. Thanks for any advice. About a month ago, I reformatted my computer and installed 2 new SSDs. One for the OS and one for FSX. Ever since reformatting and installing the new drives, my frames on the ground have been horrible until I reach a higher altitude. I know this might make sense, but I have never had a performance issue with my system. I have always stayed locked at 30 unless I'm pulling through multiple layers of clouds. A clean Windows 7 install was performed without any issues. On the ground, I'm averaging in the low teens as to where I was locked at 30 before. Decided to finally purchase my first addon airport and chose Flightbeam's KSFOHD. Followed all the instructions to the letter and not only do I have no buildings at KSFO I have lost my GSX and Addon Manager from my top menu. Redownloaded everything making sure ALL antivirus software was off. Reloaded and still the same problem. Wouldn't mind just chalking up the Flightbeam purchase to a bad experience and going back to the original but must have my GSX back. Would appreciate any help. I've been using MT2013 since it was launched and have a very good idea how to add, export, import, rebuilt ... I've recently reinstalled my whole FSX and it made all the difference in frame rates etc - but a curious thing happened, some airports have no AI traffic (not even on 100% AI) For example: I've purchased LIMC (Milan) from Sim-Giants and it is a huge airport but with no AI whatsoever. Also noticed it with other airports that I've purchased. Airports that come with AI *.bgl files do not have the problem like EKCH (Fly Tampa) and LIRF (Aerosoft) but a lot of other airports are a ghost-port. Any suggestions will help? Thank you.

Hoping this belongs in the right place.. Below is a screenshot showing the issue, basically at night time the ground texture becomes a mish-mash of green, yellow, and brown squares in no logical order. It mainly affects default airports, and only on the grass parts. It isn't game breaking, it just looks pretty bad. I've looked around to see if someone else has had this issue and a solution, but not found anything, however that could just be because I'm not searching with the correct terms. Thanks in advance for any help with the issue, or pointing me in the right direction.

Seems I deleted some things in my Users folder that had to do with FSX and the XML files. Anyway, after a "repair" that didn't go so well, my FSX installation is screwed up. EZdok, my joystick and so many other things (weather programs) depend on this XML file. It's probably best to do a reinstall of FSX. I really hate to do it, but it seems like the best way. I have so many ORBX programs (sceneries, Global, etc) that I was wondering what the best order for reinstalling my addons would be. I got the instructions for uninstalling FSX and Re-installing it, but I'm just concerned about proper addon sequence. Is there a guide for proper addon sequence installatio…

Hello! So I'm an AVGeek and a software developer, I got bored over the holiday break and decided I wanted to learn the SimConnect API in FSX. I ended up writing a TeamSpeak3 plugin that interfaces with FSX. It allows you to "assign" TeamSpeak3 to either the COM1 or COM2 radio in any aircraft and use it as if TeamSpeak was one of the radios in the aircraft. I am running version 1.016 of the Majestic Dash 8 Q400 in FSX Steam edition. I understood from a post in January that version 1.012 and up is compatible with Steam but I have no engine sounds either inside or outside the cockpit. If I taxi I can hear the rumble and thump of the wheels along the taxiway but absolutely not a whisper from either engine. Has anyone else had this problem? If so what is the solution please? Hi! As the title states, I'm looking for a decent DC9/MD80. I'm looking at getting the Maddog 2010 Pro, but if anyone can provide their thoughts on the Flight1 and CLS MD80s, that would help too. The only thing that worries me is the performance of the Maddog. Is the framerate comparable to the NGX? I'm also looking at the Coolsky DC-9. I assume that you have to navigate using VORs? Any input helps!

Does anyone know if REX has a website where their customers can download purchased programs, besides SPs and updates? I just tried to reinstall my REX softclouds on my newly built PC, with FSX-SE. The file I got when I purchased Softclouds, last year, does not install any longer. The only files I am able to find on their sites are updates, and cannot be used unless softclouds is already installed. I had no problems installing REX 4 Texture Direct, but cannot get Softclouds to install. I tried leaving a message on their support forum, but can't check if my message got posted. Their forums are cryptic and too difficult to navigate to get any timely answers!

Amazingly I am flying the Pole to pole tour and last night just happened to do my firt flight out of the US, from Arizona down to Hermosillo, Mexico. What a coincidence, the storm is just south and I will be heading to Mexico city on my next flight. I have been just using the saved games they give you fr each flight, but if I want to I can load the flight and then turn on my Opus weather update, I wonder what kind of winds Opus would give me and if I should give it a try. Just cool that I would be there in my flight to the south pole right about now. If I were to leave tonight sometime I should run directly in to the hell, I think I will.

I've tried several different folders but on the splash screen it still says cycle 1011? I've got 1511, is the splash screen the place you find out if you have the right AIRAC cycle?

Hey Pilots! Maybe this is a well known hint, but for me it was new and I thought it is really worth it to post it here, maybe someone takes some Profit out of it. You can gain some fps when you just move your mouse cursor out of the screen when not needed. If you are flying in windowed mode you can move it over the upper bar of the window, if you have two monitors move it to the other screen. The results I heard of differ from 5fps to 30fps. And it seems that it have to do with the clickspots. They stay active when the mouse cursor is on the screen and deactivate when moved away. When active, they need resources. Funny but easy. I'd like to convert Xplane scenery to FSX. There is a nice looking GMMX [deleted] but no contact info for the author, Rene. It would be nice to have this high quality terminal in FSX. All I can find for GMMX for FSX are updated afcad files with default buildings. Does anyone know how to transfer xplane scenery to fsx? Tutorials online explain how to do it the other way around, from fsx to xplane. Thank you!

Only in some airliners (non-default) will my VC start to shake violently. It happens when speed reaches around 270 kts and I'm always using EZdok. When I go into EZdok and shut off the effect RND, the shaking stops. However, the motion that EZdok provides stops as well. I love the EZdok cockpit movement, and this effect is the one that must provide it. Is there a way to adjust the RND effect in EZdok or do something to the plane configuration to eliminate the violent VC shake? Thanks, Stan

Recently the upgrade price has slowly been increased to its current $34.95 level.
