Hi All, Ive been playing Flight sim's over the last 15 years or so and I've loved every single one. recently I found myself in a position to build a new machine dedicated to FSX.. After £1200 of my hard earned money and help from a few friends I built my first PC from scratch.. Hi guys. I have an ongoing problem with Antialiasing with FSX that i just can't get rid of. The thing is, i have constant Shimmering with the exterior aircraft, VC, taxiways, runways, it almost appears the screen is crawling even though the screen is stationary. I may also add, when using the PMDG T7 the N1 gauge looks jagged and wrong (https://ctrlv.cz/en/w8Im). Here's also my Nvidia inspector settings (http://img.techpowerup.org/150910/nvidia_20150910_221249.png). I believed I had solved this shimmering problem once before by enabling Transperency Supersampling -2x spare grid or higher but for some reason it isn't working even though its on. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong during take offs now, but I get a long beep until I reach VCLMB speed according to the speed card. I'm not in a stall situation as the speedo keeps moving in the right direction, I've checked my trim and everything else I can think of but don't know what I'm missing. Does anyone know what the long beep during take off with nothing on the annunciator means?

I'm planning on installing FSX:SE, and would like some feedback about add-ons and/or tweaks, if necessary. I posted in PMDG since I'm wanting my MD-11 back (had FS9 version) but wanted some ideas on smaller but faster aircraft. I used to love the Flight 1 A36 for example. It flew high and fast. I also enjoyed the RXP GPS. Unfortunately it seems that the RXP gauges are a no-go in FSX:SE so I need to look at other aircraft. I've been away for 9 years. I'm rebuilding from scratch. Flying the A2A Comanche, the Quest Kodiak or the default aircraft, FSXse paused itself frequently. If I am in full screen mode, It take me to the Windows screen. Although,Task Manager has the sim still running. If I hit Ctrl+Alt+Del a second time, I go back to the sim. Running FSX in a window just pauses the sim and hitting "P" gets it going again. I have been using FSXse for half a year and never had this problem till this week. Paul Thorpe thought it would be caused by another application running in the background. I did go to W7 help and they said that I could see any applications running in the background by going to Task Manager and clicking the application…

I recently reinstalled my flight1 super 80 pro and the text on the screen of the FMC is all jumbled to the left I never had this problem before can someone please help with this. Thanks

Hi, On some SID/STAR procedures I can see that such target altitude exist. They are displayed in FPL pages with an up or down arrow prefix, and as far as I know, they are correctly handled by the VNAV autopilot function. Question is: how can I set one myself to a waypoint from the FPL pages and menus? Thanks and sorry if it has been already asked.

Hi folks To cut a long story short airlines such as Ryanair and Jet2 in the UK are the default dalaedus (sp) paint. How can I change these to the proper liveries? Is it an easy process? Also how would I update schedules? Many thanks!

Hello all, Just wanted tio ask, and maybe ther is a real commercila pilot out there, what would be the most realistic cloud setting in ASn to select for Airline operation. Obviously we are governed by how much we can set in the sim due to processing power but what I would like to know is what is seen from a cockpit in the real world, in the sim if you set 60 miles min draw then you get a sudden edge and then clear so not that good IMHO. So if anyone can enlighten me that would be great. Thanks All Mark

Hi guys! I need some help, I have a problem with jagged lines, shimmering, no AA, I don’t even know how to call it! The problem is with the textures on my cockpit, the lines looks jagged, like there is no AA or is not working ok, on the outside I only notice it on some reflections on the water, but the cockpit, I cannot even read the text on the radios! I searched a lot and tried million setups and tips, but I couldn’t figure this out. My FSX.CFG, as set by default by FSX:SE install, has an entry with highmemfix=0 I just noticed it because when using Steve's DX10 Fixer in the FSX.CFG menu the option to set it was greyed out ? I edited FSX.CFG and turned it to 1. Any problem in doing so ? Should by any special reason FSX:SE have it at "0" ?

Starting anew with default Learjet 45. How can( or is it even possible) to change the EICAS to a ND? I would like to see what route I am flying. Or do I use the GPS.?

Just over 24hrs ago, I asked Opus on their forum, if it was possible to do something with Opus FSI. No was the response, but we'll look into it..... Eight hours ago, they replied and posted a beta for download and testing! What's more it worked straight out the box. Gotta just love that kind of support and listening to customers!!!! Bravo 10/10

Hey guys. I have been using FS Realtime for years and never had any problem. Anyway i just recently noticed in FSX that the times for UK are wrong somehow but not europe which is why it's really weird. UK times should now be GMT +1 but in FSX it's same as GMT. European cities seem to be correct with GMT +2. Anyone can help or suggest anything please? Thanks Swadeep

Hi, I am affected by two problems recently: 1) when choosing the Cessna C172SP Skyhawk - Glass screen, the two glass screens appear 'black'. 2) when switching views with photo' scenery, ocassionally the scenery becomes distorted and messed up. Can anyone suggest how to sort this out? Thanks. Ray

My hat switch used to pan when using instant replay which was great in locked spot view.Actually,I think my view buttons used to work in instant replay.Now neither do.I use FSUIPC and at one time I was having trouble with hat switch assignment.Pete helped me correct it but cannot remember how.It works great everywhere but instant replay.Any suggestions?Thanks,Ron

I can't run the simulator because i'm getting message ,,The worldlc.bgl'' is missing or damaged. Please reinstall Flight Simulator to restore or repair the file. Flight Simulator will now exit."

I'm fresh to IVAO, so for now i'm just observer. During time i'm getting familiar with online experience, i have noticed very strange planes ground behavior. Planes are suddenly speeding up/slowing, drifting like rally cars, moving backward... All these traffic looks very weird, is there something to adjust/set up to get rid of this strange behavior ?

F1 has announced that it will take a while before they are going to take a look at it, Installing /copying the 737 into P3Dv3 leads to black displays and no working switches, buttons,rotaries. The engines are working however and manually the plane can be flown. PMDG advised for their aircraft to install all simconnect versions.... Anyone of you has succeeded in getting it to work in v3 ?

I have tried version 1.15, 1.6 , and 1.7. All have the same problem. When I rename simconnectSP2.manifest1 to imconnectSP2.manifest1 and rename simconnect.manifest to simconnect.manifest1 then TIR cannot find and work in FSX. In fact only one green light (left) goes on in the TIR camera. If I have those two files with original names, then TIR can find FSX and TIR works with FSX. Hi guys, I got a new pc, with more up to date components, better for FSX. Took my ssd and installed on the new pc. Just about everything worked well with the exception of addons like My traffic 2013, Fiber accelerator, etc. As I tried to re-install them an instruction saying that I have to activate FSuipc appears. I never did any settings on this and don't know anything about FSuipc, really. Can someone shed some light on this? I have no clue how to sort this one out. Thanks in advance. john goncalves

I would take off from an airport on an IFR flight plan with autopilot enabled. I get to about 17,000ft then suddenly the nose randomly pitches up and the trim goes to +7 which then causes the aircraft to stall. Anyone know how to prevent this from hapening?
