I downloaded a cloud set from SunClaro today that was supposed to enhance the default cloud textures. Looked good on screenshots. Even gave a backup of FS9 Cloud defaults. NOW...I get a message from Microsoft (you know...the encountered problem message with the send or don't send question.) I CANNOT LOAD MSFS ANYMORE. I've done a restore and I can't get it back. I've tried the default textures given in this file. It stops before a full load, and gives me the message. I've gone back a few days for the restore but to no avail.Perhaps I should load the original cloud texture from my CDs. Please tell me which CD and which Cabfile to use. hi all: My FS2004 has been installed in my driver E: 1 year ago, and now, for some resones, I have to reinstall my WinXP, do i have to reinstall my fs2004 as well? if i dont have to, after reinstall my system, can i still play fs2004 in my driver E:? I really dont want to reinstall my fs2004................. thanks

I am looking for a Piper Cherokee Arrow PA 28R-180 Sim Aircraft...or the closest to it.Is there any Payware or freeware that would simulate this aircraft? Hi AllI have just recently noticed that FS9 is changing my speaker configuration at will without my permission. I have a Sound Blaster Audigy card and have my card configured for 4 speakers and 1 woofer giving me great surround sound. I have watched FS9 while I am flying simply change my configuration to a 2 speaker-1 woofer setup. This only happens while running FS9. Does anyone have any ideas about why this is happening? Does anyone know how I can stop this from happening? I would be most grateful for a solution to this.Don Gore

Well, after reading several threads with some of the most amazingly outrageous posts about FS Water (Everything from Flight1 turning into Abacus to implying that Flight1 is selling pirated freeware textures) I decided to take an action that is obviously a novel idea to some folks. I bought the package so I could try it and make a decision about the usefulness and quality of the package based on first hand knowledge and not 6 or 7 screenshots posted on the Flight1 site. I encountered a strange effect with AFCAD: I edited GCRR for use with Sim-Wing's Canary Islands for FS2004 to place the tower view where it belongs.Of course, I have an own folder for such AFCADs, and an entry in scenery.cfg which makes sure they 'overwrite' others with lower priority. And, I always make sure not to have any duplicates.But even after re-loading FS, the tower view was not updated.When I booted the PC yesterday and replayed what I did, just to make sure again I made no mistake, it suddenly worked. Hi:I had to reformat yesterday, but I keep programs on seperate partitions. After reformat and reinstall of XP, some programs, including FS9, boot up and run without benfeit of registry entries in the new registry. My questions is, will there be any problems, including performance loss, if I leave the registry as is, or should I reinstall to FS9 (and other programs) to get their registry values back in teh registry?Many Thanks

I'm a big fan of "shooting an ILS", and hitting the glideslope as perfectly as I can. Wouldn't it be great to NOT HAVE TO STOP the simulator to look at a map view to get an ILS frequency. Yes, I know that you can write them down before a flight, but sometimes I want to change my destination enroute and fly somewhere else.Is there a program or something that you know of that would give me ILS frequencies without stopping the sim? I remember a gauge called runway gauge, but I would hate reconfiguring all my panels for that gauge.What do the rest of you do?

I always thought when you say ILS runways, the runways have both localizers and glidescopes. But that is not the case in FSNAV4. I just discovered FSNAV4 also name runways with only localizers ILS too. Is this correct? From the FSNAV map, I have no way to tell if an "ILS" runway has GS. :-roll Michael TanYSCB

Well,I'm no usual guest in here,but I think this problem will let your heads smoke a bit: After I've installed a terrain mesh for Germany (not fm_allemagne.zip ,but the one from the italian guy), landclass files for Germany, german rivers (allocated to three folders) and some VFR objects (for Germany),FS tries to load and shows me these error messages: There are no further scenery add-ons installed.My 768Mbytes Ram plus a swap file of 2300Mbytes should be more than enough to load all that stuff.After that,I tried to install the add-ons step by step: first the mesh,then the landclass,then the rivers.After having installed the second "rivers" folder, the above error occurs…

Using the logitech Freedom no matter how many times I have tried, no matter what I do with the initial Ron Machado Fly Now, I crash.The plane does not fly straight but banks all the way mostly to the right and I am unable to straighten it. It is as if I were turning the stick all the way right (or left)The speed drops down to 40, the lowest reading, again no matter what I do and I get what sounds like a buzzer. A warning(?) I suppose. It searches, yet never finds the multiplayer IP, regardless of which one I put in,I have tried deleting the Flight Sim and Re-installingto no avail, I want to fly FS2002 online...have the FS9 but not interested in it...Just got a new Monster computer, and turned all settings to Max, and get framerate of 65...could my problem be in here? Anyone know what a "Converging ILS" is and how does it differ from a regular ILS? I have charts for both at KDFW. I am not sure how to read the converging ILS charts as opposed to the regular ILS charts (which I DO know how to read).Thanks.Chris Catalano
