well my world trip is progressing and I just made the hop from tasmania to new zealand.. I was just wondering if any of you new zealand flightsimulator pilots know of any nice spots to visit while im putting around there...

I have just started using the Saitek X45 and can work out the programing using their Profile editor, but, I can't seem to get my head around the 2 rotary knobs. I wanted to set them up for ind. braking, but see that there is an option for axis, bands, mouse etc. I see that there is no mention at all on how or what these do, other than the axis which is understandable. I tried to split the band and got even more lost with the options.If anyone has a minute could you explain the best way of assigning the Ind. brakes (F11-F12) to them. Well my XP had some unrecoverable Registry (Hive corruption) problems, after several re-formats I am swapping out the hard drive.I was able to backup my Microsoft Games folder prior to attempting re-format. In addition my Documents and Settings All Users to copy the FS9.cfgHas anyone attempted to install FS 9 and then just copy (from the backup) all the FS9 files sub folders (aircraft / scenery) etc, with all the aircraft and scenery?I have Ultimate Traffic and a Flight One AC I don't want to have to re-install. But if these programs write out registry entries etc, I may have to.Is there anyway to prevent this in the future? Besides having a full backup?Any help would …

The subject freeware file available from AVSIM seems to be missing a gauge and its author, Jens B. Kristensen, has his email set to reject incoming mail or more precisely mail with its subject suggesting a missing gauge. The aircraft appears to be very well done otherwise and I would very much like to make it complete. The gauge in question is titled "Lanc.Comp.1" and it appears to be a magnetic compass set at an angle to the viewer. Does anyone recognize this gauge and know of a source for it? Any help would be appreciated.Stan V.

Hello FellowsI need help connecting the Thrustmaster Elite Rudder and the Saitek X45 controller. Win XP sees the X45 but the elite rudder cannot be connected since the X45 canot be selected from the add properties. The X45 should be available on the line up so I can enable the rudder and peddals option from control panel, but it is not. Please help needed. Thnx

I mean it really can take 20fps to 6fps when those fluffy and BIG cumulus appear in front of me! so, does anyone knows about a spare cloud texture file, that can lower the effect over frame rates and yet maintain a good quality??? Hi, Purchaed FsWater today. I see a big thread about it. I have spent about 1 hour with this program. I have to say that while it has some good assets like easy install, water is pretty, I feel like I wasted my money.$15.00 is a bit much when there is plenty of good freeware around. I don't mean to be rude but when one is not really happy with something, this is a forum to speak about flight sim. issues I suppose. Perhaps it should have been a "try before you buy" release. Is it possible to change the left and right views in the Cessna 208 Amphibian 2D cockpit? When I look for instance to the left I see a big part of the ceiling and at the bottom a little part of the runway. At the right I'm looking to the chair of the co-pilot.

I keep seeing beautiful screenshots showing some glorious loking runway lights. Where can I find them? I've searched here, but I can't seem to find them.Anyone know the file name? example shots of lights...the seem to sparkle (kind of star-like look to them)

Over the years I have tricked out FS with just about everything that came down the pike. I did it so gradually that until just recently I didn't realize how much my modest PC's performance had degraded. I've learned to live with the micro and macro stutters, the more than occasional blurry texture, and having to adjust AI depending on how many clouds were in the sky (both take up a lot of PC power).I have a fairly complete home cockpit with Project Magenta software on flat panel monitors and pretty much everything controlled with GoFlight hardware. I have just upgraded to fs 9 and am interested in filling my skies with some traffic. In FS2002 I used a fantastic programe called AI Traffic Mover by Thomas Moliter. I have just realised that this doesn't seem compatible for fs9 and I have done a search but their seems to be no update for the programme. Can somebody help me out and perhaps suggest something else.Thank you

Can someone walk me thru the stages of splash screen construction? I took a pix in FSScreen, added some titles and tried to convert this bmp image to a 16 bit-555 image using DXP but the color is screwed up in the transformation. I can see taking off aircraft normally, but i never see any landing a/c in fs 2k4, i use PAI Addons and took my default traffic out (American Pacific etc. my traffic is at 100%, whats wrong?

Aeroworx released the Kingair and it looks like a real nice model, but a bit expensive for a regular turbo prop plane. Is there something special about it I am missing? Just wondering if it is worth the bucks. I really like PMDG's 1900, but it was only $14.95. A great deal.

I finally decided to buy a headset for FS9. I am going to buy a USB one off of Amazon for about $45. The thing is, I just realized something. If it's a headset connected to the computer via USB, and the headphones are being used instead of the speakers (I believe), how are you going to be able to get the Flight sim sounds coming out of your computer speakers, and the Roger Wilco voice coming out of your headset speakers?

Yesterday when landing at EBBR I noticed there were treesall across the runways, aprons, etc. EBBR is the defaultFS9 scenery. Haven't noticed this problem on any of myaddon sceneries. While on this subject, do I need to install Gerry's tree library on FS9?Thanks for any help.
