Hey everyone,I don't know if this has happened to anyone before, and I have no idea how to begin searching for it, but I'm having a problem with the terrain loading after clicking "fly now." It used to work fine for me, but now I find that it loads the terrain in the blink of an eye according to the percent/bar. It, however, is not loading anything because as soon as my aircraft comes up, I, as well as ai aircraft and some random scenery elements (not sure specifically, but things like radio towers and some auto gen trees) am floating in a void of nothingness. My plane will either automatically crash or start up (similar to lifting the plane off with slew and releasing…

  3. I am flying in FS9 right now, using FSUIPC 3.30 and FS Meteo 6.4 and Weather Display 1.5. All is well. But whereas Wx Display 1.5 tells me that the vis at the local wx station is 10 miles, FSMeteo 6.4 tells me in the Decode box that it is 3 miles. I believe FSMeteo 6.4. Why? Because I still find that vis often degrades sharply below 3000 feet. What is the significance of 3000 feet? I am not sure except that I have set graduated visibility inside FSUIPC 3.30 to start at 3000 feet up to 30000 feet and I observe that when I take off in often murky lighting conditions, visibility increases very significantly at 3000 feet while climbing.I just cannot figure out what box…

Hi,I was wondering if someone has already purchased the Aeroworx beech 200 via Simmarket, because I would like to know if you have to be connected to internet in order to complete the installation. At first sight, it doesn't seem to be the case but a few words describing the purchasing process would be useful and greatly appreciated.Thank you in advance for responding.Kind regards.

Hi everyone,As one of those sad people that takes great attention to detail, I'm heavily into the realistic AI world, sometimes too much at the expense of flying, but i'm sure some of you have been there. My question is this, why is it that sometimes, when an aircraft is talking to the tower, it says flight number, airline, IFR, but does not say a destination?I used to think that this was purely down to perhaps some airports did not have voice attachments, but now I'm confused, because one aircraft announced IFR to De Gaulle, and ten minutes later, a second aircraft just stated IFR, no destination, checking using traffic explorer, this second aircraft was also going to De …

I've noticed it since I installed them - The A319's are pitched nose-up when at rest. Is this related to the contact points or the static pitch? When I went to reinstal the program, an error came up on the fourth installation disk about "world scenery directories" anyway whenever I fly there is no scenery just a gray expanse. Help!

This morning I flew a little IFR route around KPHL to an airport on the other side and tried out an instrument approach to field I just picked out at random with no ILS.While the flight and navigation were successful, the sheer CHOP of the gauges really... sucked. So just for chuckles I flew the same route in IP Trainer... and although I couldn't look outside to see... nothing ;) in the 1 mile visibility, the relative smooth gauge movement made the flight more enjoyable.I don't know how long the wait might be to see really good movement instead of the click-click-click of what's in there now, but I hope it's high on the list for the next release. The outside display may …

Hi all, I have a P4-3.06ghz with 1gb of ram, Radeon 9600 256mg video. It really is a great improvement over my old system. Very smooth & detailed except for one thing. Certain panels will delay as they draw the texture when I switch to that view. This is most notable on the Eaglesoft Citation X but it does happen on other planes that I don't fly as much. I have AGP aperture set to 256 in the bios. Render to texture is off since with it on I get panel flicker. Any ideas? Thanks for any input.Pat Callaghan

  15. Hello everyone. I was invited by a Lufthansa pilot to join his "refresher".So i met him and 2 other pilots (1 instructor) at Lufthansa base in Frankfurt Rhein-Main (EDDF)This was so great. We were flying 4 hours (!) practicing engine failures, go arounds, blocked runway, hydraulic failures, wind shears, engine blasts and so on...The feeling was so intense i really forgot i was sitting in a simulator...Well here are the pictures...Lufthansa Basehttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/88133.jpganother sim already in usehttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/88134.jpginstructor's panelhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/88135.jpgpreparing...http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/88136.jpg…

I thought originally that my stutters were limited to the PMDG 737, but I'm getting awful stutetrs all over. The mouse even stutters as I try to move it across the screen (very frustrating!!) I used to get smooth performance, but the past couple weeks, it's been awful. I've tried deleting the FS9.cfg to let it build a new one, but no good. I've tried tons of tweaking with RivaTuner with no success. Anyone have any suggestions? Here are my specs...Athlon XP 3000+GeForce 4 Ti 44001024 MB RAMWestern Digital 40 GB 7200 RPMDirectx 9.0cWindows XP Homelots of FS add-onsTim

Hi all,This is a strange one. My FS9 has lost the ability to recognise my control axes correctly. I use a CH USB yoke, and a Thrustmaster steering wheel for the rudder pedals. This has worked fine for more than two years. This morning, my sim will only behave as if there is a three axis joystick attached. ie, only elevator, aileron and throttle react to control input.Windows is seeing the devices correctly, and when I try to ressaign the axes under FS, it picks up the movement of all axes correctly. It just won't see them in sim (FSUIPC is not able to see the axes to process them)I copied an old FS.CFG in last night, but this was purely a backup made the last time I fiddl…

Hi,I have been using the CH yoke and pedals and they work fine. Most of the new commercial aircraft and I think some new biz jets are using "side sticks" instead of a yoke. I was thinking of getting a joystick to make flying the new jets more realistic. The only joystick I've looked at so far is the CH "Flightstick Pro USB." I know there are a lot of joysticks available so I wanted to ask for any recommendations members of the forum may have. I don't want a combat joystick - just one for civilian aircraft. Also, I'm not sure that I can plug in two different USB joysticks without conflicts.Thanks.Tom:-hmmm

just wondering if anyone knows if the default heavy jets might take a bigger frame hit than the default GA aircraft? i flew and landed in KBOS in the 777 and had a BIG frame hit, bad weather also. i tried it again a few times with also the kingair 350 and it wasn't nearly as bad so that's why i'm wondering. i was using real world weather. thanks, william

I have an extra 10 Gb harddrive (D:) and FS9 installed on C:.I wonder if I can install FS9 a second time on D: without problems,or is it neccesary (advisable) to first uninstall it on C:?The reason I wan't to do this is to test if I can get significant better performence by having FS9 on a separate harddrive. I oftenget annoyed by FS9 long loading times. And I have read that the fewer files there are on a harddrive the faster discaccess is.
