...I'm curious about Vilk's texture (vater.zip). I'd recently come across it and now seem unable to find it again. I used it with morewatr.zip and found that quite quickly. I've searched file name and author here and other sites; can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks for the help...

HiI have installed Jeppesen SimCharts 3.0.Whenever I select Jeppesen from the menu and select SimTrack my FS9locks up.both SimViewJr.dll as well as FSUIPC.dll are in FS9 modules folder.anyone any idea ?thanks in advance.

I have just performed a clean full install of FS2004 with no deviations from the default settings. When I try to run the game I get the following error message."Flight Simulator was unable to load some aircraft or software. I bought Flight Simulator 2002 a couple years ago and while I enjoyed the game I was frustrated because of the in-flight tutorials. The voice was distorted to get the radio message feel but I couldn't understand a lot of what was said, I never did get past the first navigation tutorial for the Cessna. I was also frustrated because I wasn't able to load maps and make a flight plan. I checked Microsoft's website but couldn't find answers there. I'd like to get FS2004 but I'm worried that I'll just end up getting frustrated again. How are the tutorials? And are there good maps that will help me navigate?

I downloaded Active Camera for FS 2002 and I can't get it to work. My mouse is just a two button with the wheel in the middle. I can't do the walkaaround mode or walk through the cabin. I hope someone can help. ThanksJonathan

G'Day All -I've had to do a 'System Recovery' on my machine (Windows XP Home), and it has caused FS9 to crash to the desktop during loading. FS2002 works fine so I'm not in withdrawal yet! Everything else seems to work, except that when starting FS9 Configurator, there is an error message "Unable to read registry to find path to Flight Simulator 9". Surely that's more than a coincidence?No doubt the answer is to reinstall, but here's the thing......The discs are long gone (I've been using the NoCD patch). Can anyone suggest a solution? I'll buy it again if I have to, but its the principle of the thing, y'know?Thanks,Brian

Hello I want to buy Fs scenery and I have fs hot seat but I want to make sure they dont have conflicts with the sounds files ..Does any body know if you can use both programs with no problems while in the sim?

I somewhat familure with the great success of the Beaver.Here is my question:1. The Kingair 350 (defualt) is a turbine engine like the DHC 3 super Otter (this going on my best way of saying this with out a quote from an article). The reason I say this is becuase the terms that I found in my search in the various FS9 articles seem to be different from what I see used in the forums.I thought it went like this:A. A piston engine that will have a carb heater.B. A piston engine that is fuel injected.C. A jet like engine with the shaft fixxed to a prop. I'm a little confused by the recent mesh addons for different countries...I thought mesh meant a rather large file, not what I am seeing with the current batch...sounds good, but how can it be?tks!

For some reason now, I can't get FS to start. The splash screen comes up, but after a few seconds, it goes off, and FS never starts. The only thing I changed is I updated my video card drivers to the Forceware 65.62. Anybody have any ideas??Tim

I recently made the mistake of purchasing addon scenery purely on being impressed with the developers screenshots but without checking their forum or other forums to check if their were any problems with the scenery. After it was installed it did not work correctly for examples buildings were in the middle of a river and bridges were misplaced. Even the millenium Dome was in the middle of the river. I contacted the developers support and they requested many screenshots and shots of my FS9 files. These were supplied and I was told to delete two folders and replace them with two others. I did this but it made no difference and I have sent them two emails to this effect but …

Today in AVsim File Library a bunch of 38.4 m mesh sceneries, by Vincent van Veen, covering several European countries. All are however only a few Kb in seize. I have downloaded the UK & Ireland mesh (22 Kb for the ZIP file) to discover that the only .bgl file in it is in fact only 732 bytes (yes: BYTES) for the whole of the United Kingdom and Ireland. A whole series of mesh files for what looks like practically the whole of Europe have been uploaded with a total file size of some 150kb!!!Maybe he means landclass.:-hah

hi ken,you had an excellent idea with the program. thanks a million!i just thought of a feature yesterday (perhaps it's there already, please correct me then) to make it really auto-start. something like a command line switch that would start the last-run config without the intermediate dialog. or a property in the ini/registry that would do the same trick. something along these lines...but anyway, this doesn't even have to be a good idea. thanks for what's already there!vilk

Hi Folks,Something crazy has just started happening after I installed a few excellant aircraft.Fs9 starts normally and I take off from any airport and then in a few minutes, my aircrafts engine loses power. This happens with "add on" aircraft as well as default aircraft (helicopters, jets, piston). If I increase power (F3 or F4) it does increase power but only for a very short time. I tried changing aircraft realism to EASY but this didn't help.I then deleted FS9.cfg and started FS9 so it would make a new clean FS9.cfg. I still have the same problem even with the "clean" FS9.cfg.Any help would be appreciated.Thanks
