I have read the different post and searched the subjects below but need some help. In relation to FS9 a COF I have gotten really confussed on the following two subjects and if and when they should be added:1. The MS Service Pack II. I have no clue. I got my present cpu last Jan and do not know if it will help or not.My specs are, p-4 3.1, 120 hard with a second HD at 40, 1 gig DDR, 1sr V-card is a ATI 9800 pro at 128, 2nd V-card is a ATI 9200 at 128. Three monitors two on the main V-card and one on the second. (to my knowledge the difference between the 17 flat screen and the 21 flat screen dose not matter as they all work great.I dont know if the specs help, but I did…

Hello Gang!Is there such a thing as a New Chitose and a Chitose airport? Are these two different airports that lay almost next to each other? I ask because I have a RJCC (New Chitose), and a RJCJ (Chitose) airports and when I look at both these airports in the map, they are almost next to each other. When I bring these up in Afcad, I also notice that they have different layouts - they look like different airports.I am not familiar with the area and want to make sure that I do not have an extra Afcad file that I need to get rid of in my DB.Thanks for any helps!Sincerely,Dennis D. Hi,While waiting in the doctors office, I came across this ad in an aviation publication and thought it might make an interesting fs9 model.It is a car/aircraft vehicle and it's called : the "AERO 4000". The ad is about a year old and the web site doesn't look like it has been updated much. There is a short movie but really no views of the vehicle except the ad itself. There used to be a simulator called "UFO" where your goal was to fly near a city and wirelessly draw on the city's electricity to power your craft. The interface and accomnying maps were so somilar to early versions of Flight Simulator they may have had common code. At the time versions of Flight Simulator for some other computers were published by a company other than Microsoft. I gather the "UFO" program AND early versions Flight Simulator were developed by a third company that was later purchased by Microsoft and relocated to Redmond.

Does anyone else have problems with FS Real Time or is it just me? When it I can get it to work it is great but most times when I attempt to load it I get that annoying MS message saying that FS Real Time has encounted a problem and has to close. I have emailed the developer but after two weeks have yet to receive any help. Can any users of this potentialy very useful addon provide advice on how to get FS Real Time and FS9 to cohabit happily. Alernatively are there other addons that do the same thing and work without any hassles?Grateful for any assistance.Bruce

Hello Gang!I am on the verge of purchasing the PSS Dash-8 series; for 7.50, you can't beat it. I am however, a little bit confused on whether it brings any repaints with it or not because I noticed that they sell their repaints separately - if this is the case, this may actually not be as good a deal as it sounds, as each repaint costs close to 5.00 a piece, which would put this aircraft right up there with the most expensive payware's after a couple of repaints added.Thanks for any feedback.Sincerely,Dennis D. When I use Continental airlnes, when "I" speak it says Continent instead of continental but the ATC do say Continental How do I fix this?thanks

In both FS2002 and FS2004 I am unable to change the Time or Season.I checked Windows "Help" site and they refer to Stardock causing the problem. I checked my setup and unstalled the only "Stardock" named programme but still can`t get the changes to take place.Has anyone experienced this and if so how do I correct the problem alternatively is there a way i can find out what is causing it ??Hope you can helpMany thanksGeorge Aldridge

Based on the participation of those helping test Autoland 2004, it looks like I'll be able to release my utility fairly soon--if not before the end of the week hopefully before the end of the month.I have to say at times it looked pretty dicey--I'm using a new interface (FDSConnection) and didn't have access to a Win2000 or XP system, nor one with many add-ons. That's where those helping test have really come through, all the more amazing since none had prior experience w/older versions of Autoland.I am jumping back and forth between several projects. Hello,All of my FS9 aircrafts' navigation and landing lights have suddenly gone berzerk. Instead of the usual flashing, they have large pixels, or boxes, around them. Also, the same effect happens when smoke is generated (like as touchdown).Otherwise, performance of the game/aircraft good....in fact it appears to have stepped up about 10 fps.Any suggestions of what this light phenomenon might be?Thanks,4deucer

Can someone please tell me the command that is the Default Key Assignment for Shift+E ?I have made a large number of changes to my Default Key Assignments in FS2004 to make it easier to fly. However, when such changes are made, the original Key Assignment for a specific command is lost.If I simply reset everything to the original Default Key Assignments then all my changes will be lost and I don't want to lose those assignment changes I have made.A new aircraft I have just downloaded simply states that I need to use Shift+E for a specific action. Since I have reassigned that Shift+E key combination to another function, it will not work.Bottom line, I need someone to tell …

I am trying to get the Captain Sim 727 autopilot to work. I love hand flying this plane but I can't get the A/P pitch command to work right. I understand that the A/P does not have altitude aquisition mode. It will hold a pitch angle or hold altitude once there. After I take off & get to 3000 AGL I engage the A/P and the plane will pitch up & down like crazy. My elevator trim will peg to the up side. If left alone the plane would eventually nose into the ground. Any hints or tips? Thanks.Pat Callaghan

I'm wondering what has worked the best for most of you simmers out there as far as weather programs go??? I'm currently using FSMetro but have started to notice problems with it. There's a 'Download weather and stay offline' option that was working great for me until this week. The program used to download weather for the entire globe and stay offline. This reduced all those in-flight updates that caused terrible stuttering on my system until the weather fully updated. Now I'm finding that option no longer works ... Low and behold I'm discovering now FSMetro is updating frequently as the stutters in FS2k4 has returned when weather is updating. I couldn't believe it…

I've been doing some cleanup in FS9, although haven't touched anything in the Modules folder (only the Aircraft folder). Obviously I've screwed soemthing up :), I still have FSUIPC (registered) and AS2004 residing in my modules folder but somehow I can't access it from within FS9. Does anybody have any ideas on how I can get it back? I always thought that just installing FSUIPC was all the was required to get access to the Modules menu in FS9, but maybe not.Thanks for any help, I'd really appreciate it.Bruce.

Hello people,I have recently downloaded the POSKY A343 (lufthansa) and I own the PSS A330/340. I use the POSKY model and A/C cfg. file and the PSS panel, sound and latest FDE from Robert J. Scott (is for the PSS A/C, but I use it with POSKY A/C) all togheter. But I have some problems with the cockpit....I get wrong flap settings and my performance (V speeds, weight, etc.) is poor.Is there someone how know how the merge the PSS cfg.file and the POSKY cfg. file, so that my cockpit and everything is working on the PSS cfg. file but the model is working on the POSKY A/C??!!Thanks in advance,

Can anyone tell me why the POSKY and the PSS A340's have different flap settings i.e. POSKY has 4 positions and PSS has 5.Just curious to know.CheersPhil

This is probably a old question, but why does the AI traffic take so long to depart the runway after landing?Is there anyway to speed this up?At Midway there is two parallel runways, I was holding short runway 22L and noticed that ATC wasn't using 22R for landing traffic. Why? Thanks!Barry
