I know what pressure is, just not how it works, for instance, why do things get sucked out of planes at high altitudes if there is a hole, what is a depressurization, why do planes need to be pressurized, and any other info on pressure. thanksadam

I posted this over at the Posky forum as well, but there's a good chance I'll get the answer here. I've merged the PSS panel with the Posky A340 only changing the flaps section. Everything works great except I can't get the A340 to cruise over mach .77 I can enter mach .82 in the FMC on the perf page, but the plane won't speed up. There's something in the merge that needs to be there and I can't for the life of me figure out what. I just downloaded a cool Upper Panel for the 744 and while I know most things on it there are a few switches that work but I don't see any thing changing on the airplane. They could just be there for fun to switch on and off but I would still like to know what they are exactly.The numbers relate to the switches BEHIND them NOT the switches in front of the numbers. Please someone familiar with the 744 Upper Panel help me out.After #4 I know is the Panel Lights, Landing Lights, Landing Lights, Taxi Lights (#9 I think is also a Taxi Light...are there two on 744?)...then I believe come the Beacon Lights, Nav Lights, and Strobes. Hey guys,I know this has probably been discussed about 1000 times but i cant find the right thread to read so i can figure it out myself. I just got the pssa340 and i want to merge it with the opensky a340. I looked through the forums but i cant find what im looking for. I had reinstall FS9(had to put a new hard drive in). I'm trying to get it tweaked out as before. One problem that I'm having is my engines shutting down whenever I go to the menu and then back again. Thats when the engines shut down. I thought I remember reading another post about this. Any help, Thanks, Bob McDuff

When using the Kittyhawk 737 (both -700 and -800), I try to adjust the weight and balance because it is constantly over gross. When reducing the payload and fuel, it will reduce the weight, but when I click "ok", FS2004 just closes completely. I will restart it, but same thing. Any suggestions?

I downloaded the Flt.1 Meridian. What a great sim (except I can't get it to install in my FS2002 program). Although the tutorial freezes at some point everytime in FS2004, it otherwise the sim runs great in FS2004. My question is, is there ever a necessity to reduce prop rpm, either during climb or cruise? I can't find that mentioned in checklist or elsewhere. Do you just keep the condition lever full forward at the prop (Np) speed of 2000 for all operations? Thanks...Roger

The price and/or quality of payware add-ons seems to be attracting more and more attention of late. Here's an idea I had. Let me know if you think it makes any sense.Suppose that there was some type of "tested and approved" label that payware vendors could get for their products. To get the label they would have to submit the add-on to some type of review committee where it would judged against a common set of standards for things like compatibility, performance, quality (things like does it include a clickable VC, etc.). Another question I have. LANDING. Right now I'm flight the CRJ 200 by VR Flight Simulator CRJ-200LR. I always seem to come in to high to the airport when flying in ILS. I'm not sure of the decent speed I should be using. If I use a -1400 angle I descend quick, but too fast. I just tried descending at -800 and I was about 6000feet at only 2 miles out. I do sometimes get lucky and I'm at the right altitude for landing.Also at what point in the whole landing procedures is the "Approach" (how far out or what altitude?)thanksx:)~

I have a number of add-ons and scenery both free and pay, mainly from Lago, but now everything show up twice in my Scenery configuration. I edit it to delete the copies and after I go into FS2004, it gets added to the Scenery config again and shows two of everything. Any idea what could be causing this?

Here are my conlusions on the Ariane 737-900.There will be comparison against PMDG as this seems at the moment to be on every ones mind.Panel:In this case the VC,as this is the only panel in Ariane.PMDG-Super clear and crisp textures.No problem reading everything,and with the latest patch/update with the 800/900,as good as everything can be clicked in the VC.Minus for the "flat"overhead panel that does not contain any 3D buttons or dials.PMDG has done many tunings towards the FPS issue with the VC,and you can tell this by the look.Unfortunatly for me this one falls through on the night textures,not good enough for me,and there lacks textures on several panels in my instal…

i reduced the payload weight in the cessna 182 so that just the pilot at 170lbs is the only payload. no other passengers or baggage. happens in most aircraft when i tried this. after takeoff the plane rolls to the right. fuel weight is equal in both tanks. with the pilots weight on the left side shouldn't it roll to the left since that would seem to be the heavier side? tried rudder trim but i have to keep adding either left or right rudder and that's no fun and sure isn't hands off flying. the other thing is to add another passenger up front to balance it out and that works but doesn't seem to be the way to go. i also tried using more fuel on one side than the other to o…
