A few questions:1. Has anybody used them, and how are they?2. Can you use them as well on the IAE engined planes?I had gotten the version previous to this, and found that when I got up to flight level at about 300 knots, the plane would start to oscillate back-and-forth about a degree or two in each direction. I use Ken Mitchell's panel instead of Eric's (I'm a screenie, not a 'by-the-booker').I had to revert to the original iFDG files to make the plane fly correct again. I just don't want to have to go through all the cutting-and-pasting from my backups again. Also, I know Ken has special autopilot and radio settings for his panel. Do they still take precedent over what's…

I use Luis Costa Pereira's excellent panel for the 737-300 and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to bring up the nav display in "rose" mode; it is permanently in "arc" mode. Does anybody know how bring up rose mode?Appreciate any advice/guidance. Thanks!JS

Clearly, with a view count in excess of 2000 there has been a great deal of interest shown in the recent thread. So, in case any confusion has crept in, I thought it would be useful if I summarized the advice, as I see it. You may wish to cut and paste it for future reference.I will tackle this by simply describing the steps I think may be necessary to ensure that any new or updated driver set is being properly recognised by FS2004.1. Make sure your graphic card is recognised by the sim and appropriate switches are being applied to its driver components:a) Check for a reference to your card in display.cfg (location: Flight Simulator 9 - root folder)by opening the file…

In our continuing effort to improve services for readers of AVSIM, we are happy to announce the launch of our new Daily Library Upload List Email delivery system. What is it? It is a daily compilation of all files posted in the AVSIM File Library during the preceeding 24 hours. At 4:30 a.m. EDT every morning, the File Library system will automatically produce a list of files, and links to those file previews, that will then be forwarded to you via email using our new list server system. Upon receipt you can review the uploads and click on the links provided. In order to use this system, you must have registered (free) to use the library. Clicking on the link provided will…

Hi!Have a look to the pictures, especially to the waves of the water. One is sharp, the other blurred. This happens automatically and changes every second, all the time. Have you ever seen that? Is that normal? What is the reason? What can I do against it? Can you help anyway?Win XP Pro - 5.1.2600ASUS P4B266NVIDIA GeForce FX 5900XT with Nvidia driver 61.77FS 2400Other driver versions from 56.64 to 61.76 have the same result.Gorzi (EDDH)

Hello,I have noticed a strange behaviour with my FS - when I am flying from Tallinn EETN to the west, for example to ESSA Stockholm airport, soon after flying west my FS begins loading and then I can see that my FS clock has moved one hour back. Is it normal? Or should I change something to fix it? I can understand that clock goes backwards when moving west, but should it act like this? Thanks.

Ed, I sent you an email regarding some high resolution Learjet 25 cockpit pics you might want. I would like to see a nice freeware panel designed from it. I am fluent in Photoshop and can easily make graphics (I posted preview pics along time ago), but I need some help with gauges. Also, do you think one of the aircraft designers at Project Opensky can design a GMAX Lear 25? Let me know. I am more than happy to send you what I have (alot).Regards,Jason

Is there a utility or program that updates the AIR file for MSFS aircraft? There are a few FS2000 and FS2002 aircraft that I would like to take for a spin in FS9.

As I recall in FS2K2 there was a listing of the available water runways. I've looked in the "Help" section of COF and am unable to find a comparable listing. Does anyone know whether there is such a listing of water runways in COF, and if so, where is it?Thanks,Jim

Yesterday I installed updated software for GF hardware which all works great. But in a related or unrelated vein, I have no idea at all, my IE 6.0 now will not open up and display when I double click on it. Instead, IE instantly parks itself minimized on the Windows XP taskbar and cannot be "restored", expanded, viewed, displayed, or anything. If I get an e-mail with an embedded IE link and double click, same thing: IE goes and parks itself on the Windows taskbar immediately and cannot be displayed or otherwise opened. I have visited MS and some IE helpsites, but none of them address this issue. My OE 6.0 works normally so I can receive e-mail ([email protected])H…

The Tour will be flown with the PMDG 737-800, callsigns KLM5575 and TRA1711. We plan to do a number of Legs on the VATSIM network, so watch out for us.On our site http://worldtour.dutchcommando.nl you can keep track of the Tour, for each Leg we write a little story with some pictures.Hope to see you on our site !Regards,Hans

i'm giddy with excitement! yes! where have i been over the long period of time i've been using FS? not in flight school that's for sure. i'm sure my new found knowledge is nothing new to most of you but may help others like myself who happen to overlook some key elements like fuel loading. just took the lear up with 25% fuel in each tank and tears of joy started to flow. where's my crying towel? by the way, i was told about fuel loading, weight and balance. thanks for the help guys. anyway the takeoff was awesome. i used 20 degrees of flaps and no more zooming straight to the moon. the lear smoothly eased up off the runway with speed under control, which is a first for me…

I've since reinstalled FS9. I remember a very long post on changing the graphics card name in the FS9 config file. It seemed to help me get more fps, but I don't remember exactly what to write in there. Could someone point me to the post or tell what to put in the FS9 .cfg. Thank you very much, its been lots of work to reinstall everything. Bob McDuff

just tried flying the baron 58 with 25% fuel in each of the two tanks.it flies completely different! like a new plane! it is no longer pitch sensitive and flies SMOOOOOOOTH as silk! no kidding. can the fuel loading be the problem alot of people were and are complaining about with the default baron 58? does proper loading mean there is nothing wrong with it now? it seems so unless my testing with different aircraft got the flight models mixed up. i can't believe how it flies now. i was aware of not using full tanks but guess i missed testing it in the baron. all you people who gave up on the baron come back and try again! with less fuel this time. you will not believe how…

I've been playing the flight simulator series by just running it up and flying a plane for 5 minutes or using FS's GPS to navigate. all this has gotten boring to me and i'm up for a challenge..what i'm saying is...where did you all you guys start?i only know navigation by means of vors.but my major chokepoints are: entering holds(teardrop etc.), adf navigation, what the heck airways/jetways are and how to navigate by them, and flight planning.thanks for your wisom :D

i just tried flying the king air 350 with fuel in only the 2 aux tanks. 100% in each one. the two main tanks were left empty. i was checking to see how it would fly like that. all i can say is WOW!!! it's like a brand new flight model or air file. haven't tried this with the two main tanks full and the aux empty or the main tanks at less than full and the aux empty. my question is how do you know which tanks to fill and which ones not to fill and why? it obviously makes a huge difference. i'm aware of using less than full tanks but not as to which tanks should carry fuel first and which can be let empty. this is very important because it makes a BIG difference in how the …
