G'day I am looking at picking up one of the scenery sets for LPMA and i am wondering which is best.I am really looking for the one which best shows the approach lights best for this great airport.I think the airport has a long strobe lead in light so which one shows that off best along with the rest of the airport lighting.Any help would be appreciated.ThanksDarren

Hi, I recently purchased this scenery and I must say that it is pretty nice. The framerates are excellent. I do have a question: There is no moving objects such as vehicles, trains and so forth as stated in their discription. I have dynamic scenery maxed out. I am running Fs9, WindowsXP, 512Mb, Gforce Fx5500 256mb graphics card. They really don't go into detail in their manuel about everything. Does anyone have this and if so, can you please reply? Thank you, S.

Much has recently been posted and 'discussed' about PMDG's and Ariane's 737NG products, and most threads have developed into personal arguments about Tishma etc. As said before, comparisons between the two products are inevitable as Ariane themselves tried to totally discredit the PMDG version on their site before releasing their own and, as a direct result, shot themselves in the foot when their version got criticised by some who bought it as well as some who apparently didn't.In an earlier (locked) thread, Tom Allensworth stated that no postings by Ariane in support of their products would be blocked or deleted, but for obvious reasons, Tishma ('Bobbo' at al) has never …

I am intrested in the payware plane from Flight1. The Cessna 441 Conquest. My questions are in relation to the cruise speed and the other performance specs. I also want to ask if anyone has the plane and if so there comments in relation to the difficuly (if any) for instilation. The last question is that I see in the library here the under all of the re-paints (or most) that you have to also have somthing called "text o matic" or somthing like that. If this is required is it another purchase that must be made to use the payware plane or is this simply for the different re-paints that I saw in the library. If its (text o matic) is not required for the payware plane…

Hi tout le monde! One short question for those who own the ariane -900: How is the cockpit movement system? Is it like active camera? More/less realistic? What are your impressions? Thanks for any replies,Stefan BergertBTW: Topic is only this special system, not anything else like the FMC or ariane's support etc. ;-)

Hi,Just recently did a flight of about 150nm in the caribbean IFR to St. Maarten. The airway I was filed onto was via an NDB on St. Kitts (about 60nm before destination). Was pretty careful to stay pretty close to the track (even checked it later in map view?!) but just before the NDB atc started vectoring me to like 010degrees which was way off my filed 345 degree track. Felt kinda like the thing it does sometimes when you're off course and it vectors you to reintercept the filed course but this time I felt I was doing ok and ended up a bit frustrated and with a map view showing my route being vectored away from pretty much the filed route for some weird reason.Only t…

Just watched a video shot by someone unknown. But so good! About a crimean war. Made by BIOHAZCENTRAL. Looks like LOMAC. And I was getting this urge to get into a fighter cockpit and do some dog fighting. Now to the question. What is the best combat sim as of today? Is it LO-MAC? I would like to feel the surge of a supersonic turn while trying to aquire a good targeting solution. The more advanced the better! Excellent flight dynamics is a must.In what direction should I look? Thanks,

In a former life, I spent much of my time on VR and IR routes in our Government Issued All Weather Day Night High Speed Low Level Tac Recce Jets. The last of the sport models, they were. Well, I was "only" a WSO. Now, after a year or so in Flight Sim, I have an itch to take a break from the pistons, turboprops, and airliners and just go to the links in a fast mover and see if all that Genesis stuff does those routes justice. Plus, it is fun to fly low-levels, and I am tired of popping up from the DIYS low-level on VATSIM and having to explain myself. Does anyone know of a flight sim-friendly place to get current IR and VR routings? How about tanker tracks? …

  12. Very strange happenings here I only recently noticed...first of all, im running WindowsXP Pro on an Intel 3.06 CPU w/512 MB DDR PC3200 and Radeon 9800 Pro/128mb. NO Overclocking of any kind.Im wondering if anyone has encountered this problem and might have some insight as to whats causing it and how they might have fixed it.Its a 2 fold problem that has suddenly cropped up and may be wrong but im assuming that they are both being caused by the same source.1. when i right click in the sim to bring up that little context menu, i can only scroll up & down the menu for a second or 2 before the highlight freezes (stops redrawing). The sim does not freeze at all, in fact i …

Once again Fs9 hits you with a surprise.Every so often I do a round the world flight in my trusty Bruce Benaway's 737, calculating fuel/altitude and airports within 737's range.Having flown from Glasgow right accross to Sydney I have enjoyed unexpected violent storms landing in Malaysia, seen some amazing default scenery, and generally have a nice relaxing time.On my Darwin to Sydney leg all is fine.Sydney approach has me well vectored to 34L. Cloud is around 1500ft bottom, and I am advised to follow MD-80 to runway.OK! No problem! Huh!As I break out of cloud runway and Md-80 are in clear view. MD-80 is followed all the way down at around 2 miles, I am cleared to land…

I just downloaded and watched the Piper Meridian 50 minute video from Flight Video Productions. It was great and really showed the Garmin GPS in action. I couldn't believe how much the FS04 Garmin resembles it! For ten bucks it was well worth it. I hope they keep them coming and maybe even add some jets like a Citation or Lear! Check it out at www.flightvideoproductions.com. Regards, Tom

Hi,on FS2004 default aircraft I can use the two VORs independently, that is I can select a course on VOR1 and another one on VOR2 (tuned on two different frequencies), which is quite normal. However, on add-on aircraft, such as Super King Air or PMDG 737 (just to make two examples) this is not possible: selecting a course on NAV2 will automatically select the same course on NAV1 and vice-versa, which is not as it is supposed to work. Has anyone else experienced this issue ?Regards

  16. I've heard that Traffic 2004 is very good and I heard something about "VoiceComm" (or something) as well. It implements voice recognition so you can simply say "Gear down" instead of having to remember which key is assigned to that. Does this take away from the realism, etc?Anyways, what are the BEST add-ons for FS2004? I'd like some kind of traffic add-on and to upgrade the graphics (airport, etc) as MUCH as possible. I'm running on a very good system so I'd like all the top-notch/highest quality add-ons I could get.Any suggestions would be greatly appriciated.

Hello,I can load up a flight from any airport, taxi to the active and proceed to take off with no stutters in frame rates. But when I land at a airport, my frame rates drop to 1. This happens at any airport I land at and with any plane. The only way I have been able to stop this is to restart the game. I have FSRealtime, ActiveSky 2004 and USA Roads all on. Any help please? Please? Please?ElroyAlso, IF I can get the plane back up in the air, the frame rates return to normal as soon as I leave the ground.

I'm trying to extend terrain textures, but I cant figure out how to do this. I searched the forum and I tried so many things, but nothing helps... Now it looks like thisTERRAIN_DEFAULT_RADIUS=0.000000TERRAIN_EXTENDED_RADIUS=0.000000TERRAIN_EXTENDED_LEVELS=1242456no matter what I change, it doesn't work, still exactly the same distance in fs. It looks really annoying in FS, especially when I'm flying FL250+I know that this is the correct file, coz when I delete it, new fs9.cfg is created.Any ideas?Thank YouJackMy Specs:Athlon64 3400+ATI Radeon 9800XT1GB Corsair 3200LLPT

Hello Folks,I'm new to the avsim forums,I'm having a problem with the default 182 and 172 visual models. I installed FS9 about a month ago and every thing works great except that the default 172 and 182 visual models have this strange line extending out of the tail horizontally. It's very obvious and it's always there - even on the AI 172/182's.I've called tech support and they were really helpful, but they had a problem emailing me a new MDL file. I never recieved it. Whats interesting is that I got the same problem when I installed the FS2002 Project Fokker. I don't have the problem with other FS9 planes - default or addon. Has anybody out there had this problem before…

Hello everyone, I have a question for you all, one that I would like everyone to give a lot of thought to and then post your answers here. What is the one thing that you would like to see in FS that is not currently modeled? Please try to stay away from simple improvements to the sim, I am talking about a leaps and bounds type of advancement here, either something that has not been modeled yet or an improvement to something that is so vast that it bears little resemblance to the current version. Please think big and try to think "out of the box", think about what would be in the simulator of your dreams. Do not worry about hardware or financial limitations since this is h…
