Hi Guys, Hoping somebody can help me. I just Un-installed RTF A340 and now my GPS guages are missing. Both the 500 and the other one. Does anybody know how I might be able to fix this problem?? Thanks heaps in advance!Kael

I have been reading about changing the numbers of the TERRAIN_MAX_VERTEX_LEVEL in the FS9.cfg file.Some posts talk about chaning it to 19. Some say to 20. Some say to 21.What's the deal with this?Do these changes make a difference for any mesh scenery installed (including default) or is it specific to the person/people who made it?For instance, on FSGenesis' site, Justin says to change it to 21 when using his 9.6m mesh.If someone could try to clarify this for me I would appreciate it.Thanks!

I hope this is not a repeat of any previous threads. I apologize if it is and if the solution is simple.I have a pretty fast 2.4ghz computer here with a p4 processor,a good gaming graphics card and great RAM on windows ME. Most of the time my FS2004 works with only occasional small stutters. Unfortunately I seem to be having difficulty with 4 engine aircraft. Every time I (or the AP) change the throttle setting there is large scale sound and graphic stuttering at the same time. This happens both with FS2004 default sounds and with 3rd party sounds. I have no problem using the same sound files with 2 or 3 engine aircraft, but 4 does the damage. I should mention that…

While flying a couple of these new birds on the release date, I noticed the aircraft doesn't sit properly on the left main gear and is slightly submerged in the ground. So I adjusted the contact points in the aircraft.cfg file to 12.600 and it looks much better.Also removed the two forward slashes before "point.3" so I'd see the effect of dirt and smoke from the center gear wheel.The other visual quandary I noticed is upon touchdown, where the left main gear buries itself in the ground before making its contact. Other side seems to be fine. See screenshot.Know how to fix? :-hmmm

Hello;Amazingly, I was able to download and actually install Gregg Pepper's Super "G" 18 and Mike Stone's PBY.I even went so far (gasp) as to install Gregg's fix for the Beech, (B18GFIX.ZIP) -- so far, so good.One teeny little problem.I am unable to get the radios to function in either aircraft. I mean, when I click on the radio frequency numbers or on any of the mouse "hotspots", the frequency does not change. I am unable to tune the radios in any manner or fashion. Hello.I'm hoping someone can answer this for me (I went to Jon Murchison's forum but it's not working).I am trying to test out Jon Murchison Airbus a320 and the IS Scenery that goes along with it but I guess I'm having a problem. I installed everything they way it said but I do not see the IS Scenery items. Well, sort of. I see those items when in the "select aircraft" area of FS2004, but, once I have the aircraft selected and I'm at an airport I don't see them (while just sitting there or with doing a pushback (Shift+P).Now, I don't know if it makes a difference or not, but I am obviously doing this as a flyable aircraft and not as an AI aircraft. A few days ago I flew N145DR Single pilot from the UK to Malaga with one fuel stop in Northern Spain at San Sebastian.Never again a thousand miles in that heat. Madrid where giving 45 deg C on the ground.Leaving San Sebastian I climbed IFR to 11000 feet for the cruise having drunk gallons of water at San Sebastian.Passing Madrid my way was blocked by vicious thunderstorms and the air was like a bucking Bronco.Passing between two cells the aircraft on Autopilot went from 160 kts to 70 kts in about five seconds.I punched out the autopilot pitched the nose down and added full power only to see the VSI off the clock and the speed still only 80 kts while being 1500 feet lower.…

Hello PC pilotz :)I fly on FS2000 and was wondering if there was a way to display a "flat panel" for the planes (like it was in MSFS4) By that I mean all the instrumentation represented in one neat rectangular window, like this:I play on a small laptop screen with limited memory & a dated processor and Id like to dispense with the panel eye candy & free up some RAM for the exernal scenery.Would any of you know if this can be done in FS2000?TY :)

Hello friends :)------------------737-400 in FS2000------------------The throttle display in the 737-400 is in its own separate window that can be repositioned & resized.However I would like to embed it permanently into the panel itself. I do not use the RMI on the aircraft at all so Id like to get rid of it and embed the throttle display in its place.Problem is I dont know how to go about it as its entries in the PANEL.CFG file are not like the other "ordinary" entries I've fiddled with. just wondering how many people need to use the shift/enter down view when coming in for an approach and landing. i used to not have that problem but that's because i wasn't flying exactly by the book. now that i am, i'm finding it difficult to see the runway when coming in for an approach unless i use the down view. anybody? william

Hello Gang!I went ahead and installed the wonderful SCEL (Santiago Chile Intl.) airport scenery by Cesar Carrasco available here in Avsim; I also installed the AFCAD file made for it by Lars Arngart, also available here in the library. Whenever I press the Map function in a flight around this airport, the map shows that the airport has an ILS on runway 17, which is correct. Whenever I double click the airport in the map to get the ILS frequency, the data box shows all the airport frequencies and corresponding airport info., and where runway 17 is listed, no ILS frequency appears listed on the right. A few months ago I bought Flight Simulator 2004 from a friend and at first I got really into it -- I downloaded some scenary add-ons, graphics upgrades, etc. Then I heard about some of these real-time air traffic controller projects going on and I got REALLY excited.So, I started watching the "Learn to fly" videos that came with FS2004 and after watching a couple of them, my interest level dropped off and I stopped playing. I have a problem with loading. Having entered the necessary PX and Cargo figures (within the max limits), on apttempting to save I get "Error in saving cfg." Do I have to set the FS fuel/payload to the same figures, or should this override them? Any advice please?Alan

I have been using FS2002 & FS2004 under Windows 2000 Pro and are going to make the switch over to XP Pro and would like to know the best way to do it for Flight Simulator.I have a lot of add-on utilities for FS and sould I just do a format disk and install everything again or should I just let XP Pro find Flight Simulator and install the programs it's self ?Thanks for any help you can give me !Scott

i sure hope someone can help me with this .... after about 30-40 minutes operating COF, my computer crashes and says that i am out of usable disc space and to use my disc cleanup. my discs are fine (i clean the discs often, i have 2 x 150gb drives (which are virtually empty and kept defragged nicely) with 1gb of ram. non of my other programs cause this to happen. it seems like a massive memory leak? my system specs are p4 3ghz, geforce fx 5900 ultra (61,77 driver) 2 x 150 gb hard drives and 1gb ram. if you have any thoughts, i would be very grateful. regards.
