Hey guys I've been testing out a few aircraft from 3rd parties and comparing it to the default aircraft. I did a test with both and these are the results I got flying at FL370 under fair weather at Mach 0.85 full weight of 910,000lbs. for the 744ER. I tried doing a search on my problem, but I didn't find anything pertaining to my issue. I just recently installed FS2004, and I started to have a problem that while on the ground, my frame rate is 1 FPS, and it takes about 10 seconds for one action or frame to move. Once I get off the ground (using slew) then it works fine. When I attempted a landing, and touched down, the problem occured again. I tried playing around with the scenery complexity and turning all scenery to minimal, but the problem is still occuring.I'm running Windows XP Home, SP1 with DirectX 9.0aAMD Athlon 1.83 GHz - 512 MB DDR, GeForce FX5200, WD800JD HD.. Hi all, can anyone help, i have a FFX 737-300 and when cruising the engines are pulsing between 30 N1 and 55 N1 and speed is up and down , can i alter anything in the aircraft cfg to stop this , i have the Fokker 100 and thats as steady as a rock, thanks and regards.:-)

I was reading about the 7E7 today and learned something really cool about it.Say an airline orders 7E7s with Rolls Royce *and* General Electric engines. Now imagine that just before a flight the GE-equipped aircraft has a problem with one of its engines. It has to be removed......there *is* a plane in the hangar - but it has RR engines. No problem. The 7E7 can accept a different engine! Its computer software will make the RR engine behave exactly like the GE engine on the other wing!So yea...the thing can fly with diff engines from diff companies!I thought that was pretty schweeeeeet :)----------------------------------------**Corrected post - thanx michal!**

Hi,Well I finally broke down and purchased Ariane's much touted 737 NG and I must say that I'm VERY impressed with this add-on. It has all major avionics system simulated, INCLUDING A FULLY FUNCTIONAL IRS WITH ALIGNMENT PROCESS. No other 737 can much this level of realism!The VC has excellent framerates even on my low end computer and video-card. I love this thing and find it vastly superior than other 737 offings, this one is definitely a keeper.

Hi all - I flew from Philadelphia Intl to Harrisburg Intl this morning in downloaded weather...Problem is, as I broke out of the clouds... well, no airport. I have tried it several times now and wonder why. The replay starts ok, but after a few sekonds you are back at the airport and the plane sinks several feet into the conrete, and then crashes. After recovering the main panel is missing. Is there a limit for how long you can replay, because I have never problems with 2-to 400 sek.regards Ole

Hello,How i can configure the crash detection of fs9 to NOT change the view to outside!!! Would like to know how the AP is normally (and realistically) used on the 727.My question is as follows: As far as I know the autopilot in the 727 is a pretty basic 2-axis autopilot. There are two separate "engage" switches for elevator and ailerons. Now, when I disengage the elevator AP in the CS (Captain Sim) 727 but keep the aileron control engaged (in order to keep a certain heading but control altitude manually) I notice that the elevator axis stays engaged, because there is elev trim movement by the autopilot which tires to level off the plane. I wonder if anyone can kindly help me sort out my ILS approaches?! At airports where there is a glidescope associated with the end of the runway on which I am supposed to be landing, then usually everything is OK. (That said, far too often FS9 tries to bring me down well short of the runway when I approach on IFR (the plane is not stalling, I should add!): I have to switch off AP and bring the nose up manually to get to the threshold. This seems to happen if I set flaps much over 15 degrees, even though in theory I should have more than that. Whatever...... Hope this is the correct forum as I don't see dx posts in others.I attempted to download install dx 9.0c from Microsoft's website, and I got the error message titled "Software Installation... The software you are installing has not passed Windows Logo testing to verify its compatibility with Windows XP..." ; the installation stops.I discovered (to my chagrin) that I was still running 9.0a (not 9.0b). I have an older system: P-IV 1.8, 512, nVidia TNT2.Do I need to install 9.0b first or do I have some other problem? If another problem, suggestions would be appreciated.Thanks!

Ok Got a new Computer Dell Dimension 8400 3.4 P4 , 1 gig of sddr Ram or whatever No computer whiz. 128 meg graphix card ATI. And all the fixings with XP PRO Old COmputer 1.6 p4 with 512 of ram nvidia 5200fx card. And regular stuff with a puter like that. One Problem. FS9 works with the old but not with the new. Every dang time it gives me some sort of error. 1 error is it says something about swap file and low memory. Other then that it will just stop installing and locks up my system. I've tried installing it directly after registering my new computer without adding or changing anything. Any Help would be greatly appreciated and you can see that this a disaster in the m…

I think I remember reading something quite awhile ago about some freeware water textures that were released that somehow showed wind effect on the water. For example the water would actually look like wind was coming from the direction the wind was actually coming from.Does anyone know anything about this? I would like to now give this a try with FS2004 but I don't know if this stuff is still around.Thanks very much!

Hey folks..We've had a lot of airbus' come out this past week and it reminded me of one ive been waiting for. The flightcraft a330.. they released a preview version a while back. I got it, To me it seemed like a pretty awesome package and Ive been waiting ever since for the real version with liveries and such..Anybody got any info on what happend to em or if they still plan on releasing it? Been lookin in the libraries for it for a while now. I've still got the preview version.... but i want some paint on it! and the finished product! ThanksGrubs

Just wondering if there has been any kind of reasonably scientific test of how, exactly, each of FS' options really affects performance on some type of baseline...For example, it would be good to know that if I wanted to run weather effects on highest settings, then I could reduce (x) and (y) by a certain amount to counteract it and maintain performance.I suppose frame rates is a way to do it, but they're too rounded out to detect subtle differences.Andrew

I like SoCal Megascenery, and of course it improves the look of that region. However, there are times I wish I didn't have it. When leaving the megascenery area, and flying into another area, it seems kind of wierd, but when flying into Southern California from somewhere else, the scenery doesn't work. You have to load it, and fly in it...generally no where else. Of course, it takes forever to load, and sometimes (I don't know why) it's blurry, and sometimes it's not. My question is this....If, and I say that hesitatingly, if I wanted to go back to the default SoCal with my FSGenesis Landclass and USA raods (both of which I have), what do I have to do to get back the orig…
