Does anyone know how to remove the fake airlines that came with FS2004? I used PAI's remove script for 2002, but it didn't work for 2004. Does PAI have a 'remove' package for 2004?Thanks!Cheers!M. Robbins

I think Shigeru Tananka's "Aces" Mustangs are wonderfully built models; even the flight model seems well done. However, engine off, and I get all these floating stars, aircraft title, plaques and trophys on my tarmac. With all due respect, is there any way to get rid of those things?Dan

Has anyone done Glasgow Celtic Park or Ibrox for FS2004? I'd like to get my hands on these, if they exist. Thanks.

No, not computer bugs..some time ago, I think it was for FS98, I downloaded a Cessna Citation and panel, the windshield of which had bug splatters on it. Anyone know where I could get this again? I'd like to make a panel using FS9 guages with these bug splatters. I think it was a Scandinavian Air ambulance or something..failing that Maybe someone could build a new panel with this "feature"? I am not a programmer or a painter, but I have been impressed with want is possible from all of the talented people involved with this hobby. Would it be possible, by using XML gauges, to monitor the amount of time an aircraft is flown, and possibly weather (rain, snow etc) and over time have the texture of the aircraft look weathered (i.e. dirty). In addition over time the exhaust areas would become dirtier. Then with the push of a button, have the aircraft back to its clean look. Just a thought.Jim

Yes, yet another post on the stutters. I run FS9 on a P4/1.7/512/FX5200 and had reasonably good results except I would get occasional 1 second stutters and frequent "micro-stutters" when in dense areas.Recently, my hard drive showed signs of impending death to I had a new one installed and just "Ghosted" the data from the old drive to the new...i.e. I did not re-install any programs.Low and behold, I have been getting the smoooothest flying I have ever had.I don't have the new drive's specs in front of me but it was the newest and fastest available and it REALLY made a noticeable difference. Those of you with 2-3 year old systems like mine might want to give a new HD a tr…

Greetings,I seem to be having problems with contrails in FS2004. Every time there is a flight passing overhead that has contrails, it seems to have a second set of contrails that reach down to the ground. Is that an error that anyone is familiar with? If so, please let me know of a solution. Your help is greatly appreciated

I didn't want to hijack another topic here in this forum, so instead decided to start a new one.Credit to L.Adamson for posting his reply in that thread. I will quote his reply below:-----------------------------------------------------"Over my many years of sim flying, as well as being a "real pilot", I've had numerous situations in MSFS, FLY/FLYII, X-Plane, CFS2, Flight Unlimited, IL2 Sturmovick, and even the old Pro-Pilot that have seemed very real! There are many aircraft for MSFS that have an excellent movement of dampening in pitch & roll, which gives it the effect of riding on air. Just have to be at the right place & the right time......I guess!L.Adamson"--…

While this may not be a hot topic anymore, I think I have found what works for me...After about three years of battling blurry textures, I think my problem was solved by just switching from TRILINEAR to BILINEAR. Now, whether this makes any sense, probably someone can better explain if this is in fact possible. I'd like to start playing Flight Simulator 2004. The only add-ons I'll almost definitely use (in the beginning) is Ultimate Traffic and USA Roads, so take them into account when giving me suggestions...I'm wondering what settings (eg. "High Quality" for Weather, "Medium-High for Clouds", etc, etc) that I should use on my computer to get a decent framerate. Here are my computer specs:Pentium 4 - 2.53 GHz1 GB DDR (PC2700) RAMATI Radeon 9700 ProAside from my normal display, I'd like to use a second monitor for GPS or something... (I'm not sure what yet). So, what resolution and quality settings do you suggest? What should I lock my framerate at? Remember the add-ons I menti…

I had another thread asking whats the best way to learn Flight Simulator 2004, but now I have a slightly different question...Are there any good online resources that teach how to play Flight Simulator 2004? (eg. how to fly, all the basics, etc)Of course the actual FS2004 CD's have the whole Learning Center, but I'm looking for something I can read while I'm here at work. Thanks for any suggestions!

I just reinstalled FS9 and thought I would post some images showing the different steps and results each has towards producing a more realistic looking terrain. All Images are taken departing 23 out of Queenstown New Zealand looking SE (Winter,Clear Skies). Original FS9Adding FScene Australia & NZ Winter Textures Adding a Landclass MyWorld2004 And Finally adding Andy Wier's Excellent 76m Mesh. Looks too good to worry about the lake level imho, though a fix would be excellent.

I've seen feature request threads that beckon Microsoft to do everything from include Santa Claus AI to include photorealistic scenery for the whole world and make it run on a 700MHz system... but I'll tell you what, without realizing the immensity of my request, I'd love to see, if they didn't get to anything else, a focus placed on the refresh rates of these gauges, especially in virtual cockpit! With the new planes made for ACOF (and of course later add-on aircraft), we're reaching a point where a 3D virtual cockpit is a viable way to fly and adjust aircraft settings... but it is the WORST to try to adjust engine settings when I get one frame a second, just makes things…

Hello, it will be soon one year since we started to work on this aircraft. Now, we don't promise a quick release but can say that the biggest part of the future package is ready. I hope it will be ready to upload in a month or two.For those who is unfamiliar with this aircraft (which woudn't be surprising since it's not in service since 1975), this is simply The Biggest passenger turboprop airliner in the world. It is also the most powerful and the fastest turboprop ever built. Apart from the fact that this Tupolev is merely beautiful, its cabin is something unique and merits to be called a historical masterpiece. Let us walk through and you'll see why.We start from the c…

I am a new owner of the FSGenesis Landclass and feel a bit frustrated. I notice that in some urban cities, some built-up areas are sometimes "covered" with grey or brown areas that do not fit at all into the landscape (my opinion) and seem totally out of purpose. In fact, it is as if a town had been bombed and devasted! Happens in Chicago, Phoenix...Is it normal or my texture set makes the confusion? Thanks to share your comments.

Hi. I have watched some FS videos and seen some effects when the aircraft has been landing and taking off which see's not just smoke from the tyres but also huge sprays of water, where can I get these effects? I use FS2004. Regards, Martin.
